Why not venture into Norway this fishing season and head for Stavanger – Western Norway and fish the river Suldalslågen, one of the largest rivers in Western Norway. Mo Laksegard will be your local tour operator, where they manage a number of excellent beats, which include Mo/Litlehaga/Berge, Førland III, Hoftun and Steine/Underbakke.

Located just 2.5 hours from Stavanger Airport Sola, the Suldalslågen region and the Suldal River is known for it’s very large salmon and is one of Norway’s best kept fly fishing secrets.

It is not uncommon to catch salmon over 10 kg, and each year there are salmon caught regularly weighing over 20 kg.

In addition to wonderful fishing, guests can also enjoy the unique Salmon Safari, where guests adorn dry suits, face masks and snorkels and following safety briefing and swimming pool training, head to the River Suldalslågen before entering the water and floating down the river where the clear waters offer the opportunity to see the amazing salmon and trout in their real habitat.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

• Accommodation at Mo Laksgard.

All cabins and apartments are fully equipped with an oven, refrigerator, washing machine, and everything else you need. This includes a radio,TV and

WIFI. There is garden furniture and outside grill. Some of the units also include a wood burning stove. In total there are beds for up to 40 guests that can be accommodated in 22 bedrooms. Guests can either rent a cabin and self cater or enjoy Mo

Laksgard hotel service with a minimum of 8 guests. • Fully guided with waders suit

DAY 1

Check in

Guests can be collected or car rental can be arranged. Transfer time takes just over two hours and takes you through some incredible scenery through the famous Discovery Route to the quaint village of Sand. On arrival, Bjorn Moe and the team from Mo Laksgard will help guests settle in depending on whether they stay at the main guest house Mo Laksgard or at one of the riverside cabins.

DAY 2 TO 3

Fishing & Preparation

Following breakfast, you will take a short – guided tour of the river and the beats, before joining up with your guide for your day of fishing.

DAY 4

Tour of Suldal and Salmon Safari

Following breakfast guests will be taken on a short tour of Suldal which includes a visit to the Salmon Studio at Sandsfossen falls, where guests can peer through two large windows directly into the Suldalslågen River and watch the powerful salmon make their way upstream to spawn. After lunch, guests will go on the Salmon Safari at Mo Laksgard.

DAY 5

Departure on Monday

Following breakfast guests will transfer back to Stavanger Airport Sola.
