Located at Fister on the coast of Ryfylke, fjord region, just one hour north of Stavanger and with over 40 boats for rental, the Solvåg FjordFerie fishing resort is a favoured destination for near coastal and deep sea fishing enthusiasts, especially from Germany, UK, Russia and the Baltic states.

We have an abundance of high quality apartments that are located about 50 meters from the water, and where they all have a panoramic view. All cabins and apartments have fully equipped kitchens.

FISHING TICK LIST INCLUDES

Cod: The most common of the Norwegian fish species. Flounder and other flatfish: Mostly found in Southern Norway Haddock (hyse/kolje): Found in Fjord Norway Mackerel (makrell): A popular catch in Southern Norway where cod is less present than it used to be. Can be found all over the coast. Wolffish: Found in Fjord Norway and northward. Sea trout: A popular catch. Coalfish: The season is in May and June. Exists all along the coast. The best fishing spots are in Fjord Norway. Tusk: Found in deep water. Hake: This species lives deep down in the fjords and is therefore especially rewarding to catch. Plaice: Light tackle fishing in the autumn. Can be up to 95 cm and weigh 8 kg.

DAY 1

Arrive in Stavanger

On arrival at Stavanger Airport Sola, guests will be greeted and transferred on the short journey to Solvåg FjordFerie.

DAY 2 TO 6

Fishing

Guests will be taken on a short tour of Solvåg FjordFerie and an introduction into near coastal and deep-sea fishing and what to look forward to during the days ahead. Equipment rental will be made available. Guests will also be given instruction on how to sail and navigate your boat along with a health and safety briefing. Your fishing vacation will then begin.

In nearby Fister, there is a local grocery store where you can stock up on food and other essential supplies. Alternatively, you can head up the coast to Hjelmeland where there are more shops and a restaurant.

Days Out

Should guests be interesting in exploring the region, we can arrange for guided tours of Preikestolen, Kjerag, plus visits to our fruit farm and to other tremendous visitor attractions such as the famous garden estate at Flor & Fjære.

DAY 7

Departure

Following breakfast guests will transfer back to Stavanger Airport Sola.
