Mission Statement Genre will mainly focus in reinstating that vintage style of the Record era. its main focus as a store is selling Vinyl records as well as cds, novelties, and anything else related to music. All of these features will be surrounded in a form of a relaxing vibe with a cafĂŠ installed inside for anyone who wants to relax while hearing the music that is being played or while watching live performances that will be held once a month, free of charge, or sometimes at a really cheap fee. Genre wants to make this a great experience for music lovers in the area, everyone of course is welcome, but music enthusiasts will like it even more. As a store that has a lot of competition, we are trying to make this a new experience with that familiar environment of the record era. We are creating a space that will lead to anyone meeting new people and generating friendships while sharing their same interests, like music. We will also be participating in the very well known “Record Store Dayâ€?. What we want this store to accomplish is to bring back the desire of physically owning, touching and hearing a vinyl or even a cd, because one thing we will refuse to give up, is this incredible thing to the digital world.


Promotional Plan Genre, as a record store, will be engaged in many types of mediums of promotions. For example: • Full Page Magazine Ads • Outdoor Advertisements: Billboards, Bus Stop Displays, Bus Wraps, and Concert Posters. • Postcards: Small version of the billboard ad. • Apparel: Employee & Customer T-shirts. Hats, Caps, Beanies. • Acessories: Button/Pins, Backpacks, Shopping/Tote Bags, Coffee Mugs. Genre will also have its official website, for the purpose of promotion as well as a shopping place.
