OUR MISSION Emerald Tides is a company built off the love of the ocean and the need for style. Every item manufactured from Emerald Tides & Co. is partially composed of repurposed waste found in our oceans. Here we sponsor beach and ocean cleanups along the coastline to help save the sea animals and make the ocean and beach a cleaner place to live. We take the gathered materials and repurposed them into clothing and tote bags, you name it! Emerald Tides asks for your minor effort, and eventually we will see the major difference.

MARKETING PLAN SUMMARY Business name: Emerald Tides Business structure: Company Business location: 1996 Ocean Dr. San Clemente, CA Date established: Fall 2015 Business owner(s): Bailey Layne Arnold Products/services: Emerald Tides produces products from repurposed waste found in the ocean. We produce items from t-shirts to pants, tote bags and towels. Beach bags, hats and jackets would also be some of the products you can find from Emerald Tides.


VISION STATEMENT We plan to eventually have an entire cohesive line of repurposed products and to have reduced the harm caused by humans to our oceans and sea life.

GOALS/ OBJECTIVES Short term: For every first time purchase with Emerld Tides the customer is to receive a repurposed and reusable tote bag for future shopping experiences or just as a cool accessory.


TARGET MARKET General population with a passion for organic proucts and a love for the ocean and maintaining its survival.

MARKETING STRATEGY For each promotion/advertising: • •

Planned promotion/advertising type: Print media advertising, online advertising, mail-out, giveaway, media release, social media campaign and sponsored beach clean-ups. Promotional strategy: This is the most modern way to promote a brand in this day and age, and the more interaction that can be attained the more interest will be gain.

Expected business improvement: The more our name is out there and seen by the public as a clean and positive brand the more people will be attracted to us and spreading the word.

LOGO The logo behind the company is bigger than just geometric shapes. Emerald Tides is a clean, organic company using recycled materials of trash found in the ocean. The jellyfish helps cleanse ocean water and regulate biodiversity. The way that they move and eat helps to filter waste out of the ocean. The jellyfish is the face of the company due to its parallel effort in helping to clean the ocean. Not to mention their beautiful movement throughout the water. The geometric style is inspired by by puzzle pieces. The world we live in is one big puzzle we try to figure out every day. Some times the pieces fit, sometimes they don’t, but in the end you see the masterpiece you created, and it’s amazing. The waste found in the ocean are our puzzle pieces. The product you receive is the end result of something beautiful.

SYMBOL In the midst of the tentacles in the design of the logo are two triangles layered on top of another. Not only do the triangles bring unity to the final logo design, but they have meaning. Each corner of the triangle shape stands for sun, sand, and sea individually. I chose those three words because thats the first thing that comes to mind when I think of a clean beach, which is what we strive for. There are two triangles pointed in the upward position because all things pointing up represent positivity and growth, which is what Emerald Tides plans to accomplish.
