Bike Rodeo (K-8) Learn all the rules of the road as a bicyclist in our obstacle course! A Bike Rodeo is a fun, hands-on way to learn how to handle a bike safely. Trained instructors will teach critical skills, and other stations will be available for students to gain info, education, and encouragement for bike riding. Participants will have helmet fittings checked by a Lexington Police Officer, followed by brief group instruction, and then testing their bike handling and safety knowledge. Participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement. Bring a rideable bike, close-toed shoes, and a helmet. Can’t afford a helmet, or your kid’s doesn’t fit anymore? Some will be available thanks to a generous donation by the Friends of the Lexington Bikeway.
