A word from the Gaffer
JOBI McANUFF IMPROVING ON HARROGATE DRAW
“First things first I want us to get back to being solid defensively. We’re at a stage of the season where we have to win games. I think that was a factor for both teams. The biggest disappointment was being in the lead twice and not holding on. We don’t have time to dwell. We have a game that we’re looking forward to. We need to win football matches. That’s our mentality.”
JOHNSON & WILKINSON
“They’ve been fantastic in terms of their goal contributions. We need more goals from the rest of the team. That’s something I’ve put on the players. We need centre-backs contributing from set plays and midfielders chipping in. That’s something we will look at. Of course, I hope DJ and Conor keep on scoring.”
BARROW
“They’re in good form. We have them very, very well covered. I want this to be about us. I want us to go out there and impose ourselves on the match. We will have a real focus on what we do well. It’s about us winning football matches.”
“WE DON’T HAVE TIME TO DWELL. WE HAVE A GAME THAT WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO. WE NEED TO WIN FOOTBALL MATCHES”

Captain’s column
CRAIG CLAY HARROGATE “I think it was a chance missed. Although, to be fair, they did have quite a few chances. DJ had one right at the end too. You can’t dwell on it. We’re still in the hunt. There are five games left and it’s all to play for. There are 15 points up for grabs. We can still get play-offs.” BARROW “All of your home games you have to be eying up three points. When we played them earlier in the season, we had to fight with ten men to get a draw. We will be looking to take all three points at home.” FINAL FIVE MATCHES “We’ve been very positive since the Gaffer has come in. You might have a disappointing result here or there, but you have to move forward. While we’re in the pack we will be giving it everything to get as many points as we can.”
“WHILE WE’RE IN THE PACK WE WILL BE GIVING IT EVERYTHING TO GET AS MANY POINTS AS WE CAN”

SAM LING +++++ HARROGATE DRAW
“It was a tough one on the day, having been in the lead twice. Recently we’ve been able to hold on but unfortunately not in the week. We looked a little ropey at the back for the first time in a few games. We still got a point and now we can focus on Barrow.”
THE BLUEBIRDS
“We want three points, and we want a clean sheet. We’ve worked hard this week in training. Hopefully, we come out of Saturday with the win.”
FINAL STRETCH OF THE SEASON
“Five massive games, five cup finals for us. We need to go into every game with a positive attitude and pick up as many points as we can.”

THE MANAGER: ROB KELLY In Caretaker charge of the Bluebirds at the moment is seasoned Caretaker Manager Rob Kelly. Kelly has enjoyed a wide variety of roles in football, from Leicester City manager back in 2006, through to Assistant Manager at Fortuna Dusseldorf last season. It seems Kelly has preferred to be the number two throughout his
career, but following the departure of David Dunn, and short lived tenure of Michael Jolley, Kelly took to the dug out once again as a Caretaker Manager – for the ninth time in his career. With a 56% win rate with the Bluebirds, Kelly looks to have successfully guided Barrow to another year in the EFL – nine points above the drop with a game in hand on Southend United.
