Theviciouspromotionalposterfor "TheLittleFoxes"raiseda few eyebrowsand shocked some more sensitivepassers-by,yet italso accurately reflected the tone of the play. The poster portrayed two snarlingfoxesattackingeachother'sthroats,and the playwasfullofpeopledoingjustthat Selfishness,greedand pridewere attitudesdisplayedby mostof the maincharacters

Jennifer Roberts performed spectacularly as the snobbish, greedyReginaGiddens Excellentperformanceswerealsogiven by the restof the cast, including Jeffrey Cole, JeffreyThomas, Nathan Alexandar, Christopher Rosevelt,Jeff Riffle, Jennifer Miller, Beverly Garrett,Natasha Marstiller, and DejohnPorsch

On opening night,there were a few nervous stumbles and a coupleofwrinkled tuxes,but, on thewhole, theplaywasvery professionallydone.

Directed by David Allison, thechairman of Liberty'sdepartment ofdrama, theplaywas set at theturnof the centurywith excellentstagedesignand costumes Itwasanexcitingplot,built around a money-making scheme in which Regina and her brothers,Oscar(JeffreyCole)and Benjamin(JeffreyThomas),are involved. Reginatriedto get herhusband,Horace (Christopher Rosevelt),to participatebecauseshewanted to usethe profitsto goto Chicagoand liveinhighsociety Horacerefused,however, and the plottwistsand turnsits way to anintriguingconclusion

Not onlywas thisplaygood entertainment,butitalsotaught severalimportantlessons.Even among Christians,the effectsof greedandmaterialismcanbewidespread.Thisplayshowedthat happinessdoesnotcomefrommoney andhighposition,andthat doingrightismore importantthanbeingwealthy.
