"I liketo recruit,but it is discouragingwhenyoudon't get the peopleyou're trying to recruitbecauseof grades orotherreasons,"Delethea said. "Recruiting is sucha gamble."

LU trackcompeteson aNCAA DivisionI level. The meetsinvolveasmany as 50collegeteamsand provide an atmosphere ofhealthy competition. "Our rivals are ourselves," Deletheasaid "Youwantto win, but yougo outthere to beat yourowntimes."
Deletheadevelopeda lovefor trackin highschooland received a partialscholarship toCampbell University and thentransferredto LU During this time, she broke schoolrecordsand was ranked among thetop50 track runnersin America.
Delethea also obtained a psychology degree while here at LU, which has been useful to her since graduation. "Ithink my psychology background helps me dealwithpeople," she said.
