STOURBRIDGE RUGBY CLUB November 5th is the Family Bonfire and Fireworks night and the Christmas Corporate Lunch is booked for Friday December 3rd.
Autumn arrives and there has been lots going on at Stourton Park. At the end of September we hosted our much postponed Corporate Lunch in the vast marquee for over 1,000 guests. It was back in May 2019 that this event was last held and due to the pandemic had to be rescheduled three times. We were privileged to have Sir Ian McGeechan OBE and Jonathan Agnew MBE as our lead speakers and the well- known “ Antiques Road Show “ expert Philip Serrell as our auctioneer.

October 23rd was the date for our ex-players lunch that always brings out tales of yore and reminders of exploits that should have remained “ on tour” in seasons long past. On October 29th our Ladies team, “ The Panthers”, played their inaugural Friday night game under floodlights against Stafford. This was a first for the club and we all look forward to these becoming a regular highlight in the club diary. The Panthers will be playing Telford Hornets on Sunday November 7th and Trinity Guild on November 21st so please come down and cheer them on. 52
