CALVING EASE SIRE SUPREME. One of the easiest calving purebred Simmentals in the breed. The last 4 years we have had over 100 heifers calve out of him and have almost never had to pull a calf. They are stylish, correct with growth, performance and eye appeal. Our cattle have to do a lot of walking, we are fussy about good feet and legs. There is an epidemic of back curly toes and toeing out on the front legs in both Simmentals and Angus. He is the most correct bull you will find. He is a Duracell by Dream On x Built Right. His dam was the Grand Champion Female at the American Royal. You NEED to Try Him.

MIKE SORENSEN ~ SALES 641-745-7949 mikelpi@yahoo.com
Greetings, I sure hope everyone is having a safe and bountiful harvest. I know a very good friend of ours was involved in a farm accident. He will be back to normal soon, but it was a close call. There is a reason they call them accidents and I’m sure it wouldn’t have happened if proper shields were in place. Please make sure all shields and protective covering are in place and in proper working order. I’m struggling with a food report this month. I have traveled what seems to be lots of miles and obviously, as most of you know, I don’t miss very many meals. It’s just that nothing is ringing a bell for me from this last month. So, that being said, I guess the next best thing for me is to brag about my grandkids! I just live for the days that one of my grandkids are in some sort of activity. #1 Grandson Tucker just finished his last football game, and man what an improved player he is this year. Nothing makes a grandpa happier than seeing his grandson sack a quarterback in a game. Made my day, thanks Tuck! #1 Granddaughter Izzy (Isabelle) is an all-around lady athlete participating in softball, basketball, volleyball, track, and now cross country. I’m pretty sure basketball is her favorite and she is just waiting impatiently for her first game. Her first cross country meet, she set a personal record and broke it, not bad for two practices. Great job Izzy! #2 Granddaughter Tater (Taylor) has been in dance for several years and is pretty darn good at it. This year, though, she has tried her skills at volleyball. During her first game, she had 5 ace serves! Pretty sure I will get to watch her play lots more volleyball. Proud of you, Tater! #3 Granddaughter Indie (Independence) has tried her skills at soccer, and flag football and has done great at both but I/m thinking Indie could be my scientist girl, she loves bugs, birds
4
Livestock Plus Inc.
and she is a creative little gal. Good job, Indie! #2 Grandson Max (Maxwell) and #3 Grandson “Spud”/ ”Mikey” (Michael Ray) are football machines! They love the game and when they get together all they do is play football or watch football. Just this week in flag football (which they take very serious), Max threw a touchdown pass to Mikey and it was picture perfect! Their defense is just as impressive. I have a feeling, if they stay as enthused as they are now, I got lots of football to watch. Keep in mind Mikey is in Kindergarten and Max is in first grade. Good job boys! #4 Granddaughter; last, but certainly not least Treva, my little Pooky. Treva is our special child and this little girl gives grandpa a world of enjoyment. She’s the most lovable kid and always happy. Treva started preschool this year and gets super excited about going. I just hope they take good care of my little Pooky. She may have Downs, but it’s all ups as far as I’m concerned! She’s my special little girl!! Sale season is just about in full swing and at this point, the sales I have been to have been equal to or up from last year. So, put on a mask or leave it off (your choice) come to a sale, have a good time and buy some great ones. Thanksgiving is upon us; we want to wish everyone a blessed bountiful Thanksgiving. Please be safe in your travels and enjoy some great family time. As always keep our country’s leaders, our first responders, our police, and our military and their families in your thoughts and prayers this Holiday season. God Bless

Where did October go? Temperatures are slowly starting to cool down and sale season is in full swing. To me, there is nothing better than looking at a set of heifer calves at a sale this time of year on a crisp 45 degree day. Also, I think there is a lot a guy can learn from going to all these sales and visiting with breeders. One of the more commonly asked questions I get is “how do you think we take our program 110Y to the next level?” Honestly, I ask SAV Bismarck x myself that question daily as well. R&R Monica T713 Due 4-5-21 OHL Good Times 6192G One thing I always answer this with is; watch successful people. Study what they do, watch how they handle themselves and their business, and ask them questions. There is a lot that can be learned just from watching, but I also D148 think a person needs to ask Yardley High Regard x SWC Ruby Ynona 139Y questions. A lot of times I think Due 2-16-21 LCDR Favor 149F people get nervous to walk up to a breeder that is competing/selling on the highest level and ask some questions. In my experience, though, the large majority of those guys want to see your young business succeed and will answer G27 your questions with a smile on CDI Innovator x Kappes Kava Ms B33 D404 Due 2-7-21 W/C Doctors Orders 655F their face. Not to say that you can copy a program exactly and get Full sale offering viewable online at: the same results because I think www.ebersale.com different things work on different places. I believe a good thing to do is every time you go to a sale or open house, make it a priority to learn one new thing that you can take home and use in your own program! There is a lot of trial and error in this game but there are also a lot of good people willing to share some tips with you and that’s why this week my hat goes off to “the students of the game!” Please don’t hesitate to give me or any of our sales team a call to assist you in marketing your livestock! The Road Ahead for Cattle Markets by Michael Seek, Fox Group at the Board of Trade
You may or may not have a new President by the time this issue of Livestock Plus magazine is delivered to your mailbox. What you can do-regardless of who wins the Oval Office—is adjust your business model for your cattle operation and plan for inflation. Will be it stagflation or just flat out inflation is a moot point. Stagflation is ‘stagnant economic growth with inflation’ and yields inflations. Regular inflation can be rampant or not and can accompany medium to fast economic growth. While having Trump as a ‘business minded President’ has been invaluable since he has had the salt to tell the other countries [paraphrasing here] ‘hey, this deal is not in the best interest of our country and we are not going along with it anymore. I allude to the lopsided contributions of the USA to United Nations and then the trade deals to the south and north were never in the best interest of our USA and of course the trade deals with the far communists in China have been hurting agricultural producers for decades yet Bush and Obama did not have the grit and salt like Mr. Trump has shown since becoming President in 2016. However, as our grandpa’s told most of us in the old days ‘Sonny, you can’t spend more than you bring in’ and regrettably the last several President’s have not shown the ultimate leadership and submitted a balanced budget similar to the way Mr. Pence ran Indiana as Governor and who left the job to be Vice President and left 2 billion dollars in the bank. So, regardless of who is sworn in to be President in January 2021, the probability of high inflation is extremely high since Trump will have to concede to more economic stimulus and a Biden Presidency would surely give away everything but the kitchen sink. Either way the 23 to 26 trillion dollar debt is going to higher and history says that when the debt of a country spirals out of control then there is little choice but to devalue the currency and attempt to inflate away the debt. Sounds like third world country stuff, doesn’t it? President Reagan began the larger than normal deficits in the old days to show the old Russia that East Berlin and the world at large would not succumb to Russian global aspirations. However, the acceleration of defense budgets and related deficits never stopped and still have not and are not likely to in the future. So what’s a Cattle operation to do in the challenging times ahead? One of the things you can do is sit down with your banker and make sure the cost of capital is locked in and that you are ready for accelerated input costs for your operation. The other thing to be done is to educate yourself on hedging the
16
Livestock Plus Inc.
upside on input costs as opposed to just hedging the downside pricing of your livestock. The Fat and Feeder Cattle may be in for some dramatic price increases in 2021 and 2022 for both Fats and Feeders. However, if the input costs get out of control then a 140 Cash Fat Cattle market or a 200 Cash Feeder market may not necessarily mean a boon for the Cattle ranch. Another issue for Cattle operations in 2021 and 2022 is this current window of sunspot activity that looks like more drought and possibly more intense drought than 2012 will occur and this may be a game changer primarily for grain markets which in turn will impact livestock markets in a profound way. The alarming nature of the year or two ahead is that the Federal Reserve and other Central Bankers around the world have made it clear that they want more inflation and if they force inflation out of the pipe with manipulated monetary policy at the same time that sunspot activity yields intense droughts then turn out the lights as trouble will loom. Take a look at the charts below and then talk with us about the numerous ways to use the Board for hedging livestock or the input costs on other markets:

Again, hedging of your Cattle operations is usually best achieved by forward contracts and the use of the Board livestock instruments in Chicago and hedging looks very important even if Trump wins again since the Wuhan Chinese-virus may rear its ugly head again when an early winter comes and forces everyone to abandon social distancing by default. Education is key and so we encourage you to reach out to us at the Board in Chicago and ask for available information that can be shared with you via your iPhone or iPad. So again, all of the foregoing back-drops and unknown events on the election and vaccine front shows all of us the need to hedge asset classes’ near and dear to your family or corporate grain and livestock operation. If you are already a bona-fide livestock producer you can probably think of many times over the years that you wish you had used airbags to hedge your hedge on your cattle on the dirt or simply taken the hedges’ off. If you would like to get a new perspective on livestock hedging by integrating USDA wholesale beef pricing and you would like to receive on a complimentary basis for two full months by email both ‘Daily and Weekend ‘Livestock Reports’ that includes Fat and Feeder Cattle Valuations, and respective beef cutout valuations then call Michelle White at 312.756.0931 and share your email address with her in confidence. Remember, hedging livestock with Chicago Board Cattle futures still has risk of loss and is not suitable for all livestock producers and investors who desire to hedge their livestock on the dirt. n

Optimizing Productivity and Profitability in a Fall Calving Herd Patrick Gunn, ISU Extension cow-calf specialist Joe Sellers, ISU Extension beef program specialist Early Weaning Perhaps the biggest question is how early fall calving-cows should be weaned. It has been shown that weaning the calf can reduce nutrient requirements of the cow by as much as 30%50%. As long as these calves are 90 or more days of age, this

decision should be mostly dependent on the amount of stockpiled forage on hand. Because stockpiles are likely the cheapest high-quality feedstuff available, they are probably best used to support lactation. If high quality forage is no longer available for grazing, it’s probably time to wean. Delivering harvested forage or supplement will quickly diminish the bottom line on this production group. It should be noted, however, that stockpiles are an excellent feedstuff for the newly weaned calf as well. The most efficient period for weight gain in a beef animal occurs as a calf, so allowing calves access to stockpiles makes an excellent use of this forage in facilitating inexpensive gains. For integrated operations that also have a row crop enterprise, the increased use of cover crops provides another feedstuff that may be best used by a fall-calving female in lactation. Identifying Best Marketing Strategy Research in Tennessee and Arkansas has identified a key advantage of fall calving as more calves marketed per cow and increased cow stayability, thus more total income per cow. The feeder calf market opportunities with fall born calves are vast, including options such as winter backgrounding followed by sales at grass turn-out time, growing the calves on excess spring grass on the home farm followed by mid-summer marketing, and retained ownership to finish and sell calves into a fall-winter market window. Historically, the spring feeder calf market has been higher than fall prices. (Who knows this year?!?) Breeding Soundness Exams (BSEs) It should go without saying that BSEs should be conducted approximately 30 days prior to any breeding season. However, many producers think of this as a springtime-only management practice. BSEs should not be overlooked, particularly if you have a spring calving herd that will share bull power with your fall cows. Just because bulls were fertile in May does not guarantee they’ll be ready for November. Poor nutrition from drought or heat stress during the summer breeding season can have negative impacts on sperm production and quality for 60 days or more. Also, penile injuries can go unnoticed without proper evaluation. Because many cows are in the fall herd due to failure to conceive during the previous summer, every possible precaution should be taken to recoup losses from that unproductive period. There is no doubt that fall calving can be a lucrative business model for many beef producers in the Cornbelt. However, it likely will require a host of managerial changes relative to the spring herd. As with any significant change in management scheme, be sure to consult with the team of experts you’ve assembled -including your beef extension specialist, herd health veterinarian, and nutritionist -- to ensure a successful transition. n

IOWA CATTLEMEN’S ASSOCIATION
Young Cattlemen’s Leadership Program: Preparing the next generation of leaders Just as aging farmers and cattle producers make plans to transition their farm to the next generation, the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association is working proactively to ensure that tomorrow’s cattlemen are prepared to lead Iowa’s beef industry into the future. The Young Cattlemen’s Leadership Program (YCLP) is a longstanding tradition, with a history of training younger members of the cattle industry in leadership skills, advocacy efforts, and industry knowledge, with a goal of improving their own operations and the Iowa cattle industry as a whole. Many participants of the year-long program go on to become leaders in their county cattlemen’s association, at the state level in the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association or even the national level in organizations like the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. The program consists of several day-
and-a-half sessions over the course of a year. Participants arrive at the session location on the afternoon of the first day, and the session ends on the afternoon of the second day. At least two of the sessions take place in central Iowa, with others across the state. YCLP offers young members of the industry a chance to experience parts of the beef industry they might not otherwise get to see. For example, for the last three years, YCLP has included a processing plant tour – a unique opportunity for class members. Participants also get a hands-on lesson in legislative advocacy, with a visit to the capitol. The past few years, this “Day on the Hill” has also included a small-group meeting with the governor. YCLP members are responsible for recruiting for ICA’s Carcass Challenge. Carcass Challenge proceeds are used
in part for YCLP, as well as educational opportunities and advocacy on behalf of Iowa’s beef producers. ICA is currently accepting applications for the 2021 Young Cattlemen’s Leadership Program. Applicants should have completed their education and be working in cattle production or related industry. Preference will be given to ICA members. There is no age limit for the program. Applications must be received by November 1. The 2021 class will meet January 13-14, February 17-18, June 2-3, August 5-6, November 10-11, and December 15-16. Participants who miss more than 2 sessions will not be considered graduates of the program. Visit www.iacattlemen.org/ica-programs/young-cattlemens-leadership-program to apply online.
The Twisted Tail: Home of the 2020 Iowa’s Best Burger The Twisted Tail in BeeBeeTown is well known for its ribs, which won first prize in the 2013 Iowa State Fair Farm Bureau Cookoff. And now, the restaurant can add “Iowa’s Best Burger” to its list of awards. The western Iowa restaurant has been owned by Ed and Ruth Spencer since 2011, and is managed by two of their three children, Luke and Hannah. In addition to the restaurant, the family also farms and runs a real estate and auction business. Throughout the past few months, the family has worked together to ensure that their patrons have been able to continue
enjoying the Twisted Tail’s delicious meals. “You will often see the grandchildren helping bus tables on Friday and Saturday nights,” says Hannah (Spencer) Johnson. During the COVID shutdown the restaurant operated on a takeout only basis from March 18th to May 13th, however, they are now open again for dine in and takeout. All tables are at least six feet apart, and the former reception and party rooms now hold tables to allow for more social distancing between customers. Ed’s love for history and antiques and their auction business has contributed to
the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. Antiques, memorabilia and reminders of BeeBeeTown’s history are scattered throughout the restaurant and bar areas. Made out of 80% lean ground chuck, the winning burger patty is simply seasoned, allowing the true flavor of the meat to shine. The Certified Angus Beef is all locally sourced. Eleven different burgers are featured on the menu, all using the same 8 oz. (half pound) patty. In addition to the burgers, the Steak Philly, Prime Rib French Dip, and Filet are all fan favorites. IOWA CATTLEMEN’S ASSOCIATION
Carcass Challenge winners announced for 2020 This has been a challenging year for many regarding the feeding and marketing of cattle in Iowa and across the country. The Iowa Cattlemen’s Association Carcass Challenge was not immune to these challenges. The Carcass Challenge is an ongoing effort to demonstrate continuous industry-wide improvement within Iowa. As Iowa’s only statewide fed-beef competition, the ICA Carcass Challenge was created to: • Showcase Iowa’s beef cattle genetics, feedyard management, and modern technology. • Offer Iowa’s cattle industry a fun and competitive statewide fed-beef contest to highlight Iowa’s beef production advantages. • Provide leadership and learning opportunities through the ICA Young Cattlemen’s Leadership Program (YCLP). • Generate additional non-dues ICA revenue to grow Iowa’s beef business through advocacy, leadership and education. Each November, steer-sponsors donate 700 lb. steer calves to compete in this prestigious Iowa fed-beef contest. Steers complete 180-200 days on feed to an average 1,400 lb., market-ready end point. Cash prizes and special awards are presented to contributors of the Top 10% of individual steers based on the “Retail Value per Day on Feed,” recognizing both feedyard performance and end carcass merit. A $5,000 cash prize is be paid to the Champion Steer donor(s). Awards for outstanding individual carcass results are also presented. Every effort is made to deliver maximum cattle efficiency, carcass value and net revenue of all steers. This year, more than 130 different producers, businesses, association and coun-
ty cattlemen’s groups donated 74 steers to go on feed at Lauritsen Cattle Company in Exira, Iowa. Starting in March, the challenges faced within the packing industry led us to adjust the management of the steers some. Thank you to our sponsors, Tim Meyer at Producers Livestock and David Trowbridge at Gregory Feedlot, for their cattle feeding insights to help Ty and Clara and Lauritsen Cattle Company know how to best manage this situation. Elanco, the headline sponsor of the program, worked alongside the Lauritsens to help manage the animal health and performance solutions. Other program sponsors included Isaiah Shnurman with Square B Ranch, the CUP Lab, Thielen Trucking, Gregory Feedlots, and the Tri-County Steer Carcass Futurity. The program would not have been successful without all of these gracious sponsorships. About the Awards: Each year we recognize the top 10% of the steers for the RVDoF category, in addition to four other awards that are factors that help drive profitability in the feedlot. The grand prize for the Champion Retail Value Per Day on Feed is $5,000 and a large traveling trophy. The Retail Value Per Day on Feed (RVDoF) formula is a dollar value that accounts for hot carcass weight, percent retail product, carcass price, and days on feed, balancing the important factors that ultimately drive profitability. The RVDoF formula shown below is a popular method used by similar carcass contests, and is highly representative of the profitability of a carcass. The formula calculates the carcass value gained during the feeding period. This is done by calculating red meat yield gain, multiplied by a carcass price which reflects differences and quality grade, divided by the days on feed.

COMMENTARY
Lefty’s Logic by Eric Lee
Every year I look forward to the last week in September. Since I was 12, I’ve been exhibiting cattle at the World Beef Expo in Milwaukee. This year was no different but with everything going on in the world, no one quite knew what to expect. Between the Huisheere family and me, we had five sale heifers to take. We got them fluffed and buffed not knowing if there was going to be two head or two thousand. It was no surprise there were closer the the two thousand. It was one of the first times since March that everything just kind of seemed normal. The show went on as normal with a few minor changes and the sale went on as scheduled. I think what shocked me the most was the conversations that I had with friends and colleagues. There was very little talk of coronavirus or political agendas. Instead, everyone was catching up like old times. We talked about cattle, families and a lot of reminiscing of the “old days.” I feel like it was a testament to the resilience of the American people and the American cattleman. When dealt a bad hand, we work through it, learn from it, and move on. That frame of thought shows as we progress into fall sale season. The sale averages show that we are not going to let an election or virus slow us down. We will keep moving forward because we have the determination and will to overcome all obstacles. As we continue into the fall sale season, please do not hesitate to give me or any of the other LPI family a call! We would love to help you set yourself apart from the competition. God bless, Eric “Lefty” Lee 608-295-5312

Nutrition for the FallCalving Lactating Cows by Heather Smith Thomas for Progressive Cattleman progressivecattle.com The greatest demand for nutrients (above and beyond maintenance requirements for normal body function) is during lactation. Shannon Williams, University of Idaho extension educator, says producers need to know nutritional value of the feed (fall pasture, hay, etc.). “The important thing is to meet the cow’s nutritional demands so she can keep lactating and continue to have good body condition so she can rebreed on schedule. The fallcalving cow has to breed back during a tough time of year, if you have cold winters,” she says. You don’t want a cow to come up open because your feeds didn’t quite meet her needs. In a mild climate, feeding fallcalving cows can be much easier than in a cold climate where you must address the challenges of cold stress – providing additional calories so cows can maintain body heat. “There may be some benefits with a supplement for those calves, as well,” says Williams. This could help provide the extra nutrition calves need for keeping warm in cold weather and take some pressure off the cow for providing it all with milk. A creep area for the calves or a portable creep when rotating fall-winter pastures should be constructed in a way to keep the feed clean and dry or calves won’t eat it. You need a plan for how you’ll feed those calves, and it needs to be costeffective. “You may need to supplement the cows, depending on quality of fall pasture or the hay, and this may mean taking samples for testing.” Most grasses drop dramatically in nutrient levels (especially protein) as they mature and go dormant. Orchardgrass, for instance, may drop from 16 percent protein to 8 percent. Not all pastures have adequate nutrition for lactating cows at that time of year. Mature native pastures have different nutrient levels than dormant, mature tame grasses, and both may be lower quality than an energy-dense forage like ryegrass or a pasture containing a high proportion of legumes. “If you seeded a pasture with energy-dense forages or legumes a few seasons ago, it may change over time – due to soils or management. A pasture may have been 50 percent alfalfa a few years ago, and now, it’s down to 10 percent and mostly grass,” says Williams. “If grazing sudangrass, watch for frost and prussic acid poisoning. If it’s new seeding or resprouted grain with lots of pigweed, be aware of risk for nitrates,” she says. “Feeding fall-calving cows is not much more complicated than feeding spring-calving cows, but in the fall, it’s the end of the growing season, and you may have to contend with snow, frost and cold weather,” says Williams. Nutrient needs for lactating cows vary with breed and the individual – whether you have heavy-milking cows or average-milking cows. “As you get farther into winter, it will "Nutrition" continued on page 48

"Nutrition" continued from page 46 also make a difference whether cows have adequate shelter and windbreaks.” Dr. Bart Lardner of University of Saskatchewan always asks ranchers if they can evaluate the cost of putting energy and protein in front of that lactating cow after she calves. Nutritional requirements largely depend on what the winterfeeding program is based on. He reminds ranchers that a cow has a 100-day “critical period” during her production year. “This includes the 30 days before she calves and 70 days after she calves. This is when we need to pay attention to energy and protein,” he says. “A lot depends on the forages and how the herd is managed. Many producers are innovative these days. Some still use a lot of harvested feeds, such as various types of hay in bale form in a drylot pen, but many producers use extensive grazing practices. They may be using stockpiled perennials or windrowed annual cereals or bale grazing,” says Lardner. “Depending on the forage source, we may have to provide supplements. The type of supplement needed depends on where you are. Much of the research in the U.S. shows that protein supplementation is needed, because many forages’ areas are deficient in protein during winter, and we need to feed the rumen bugs.” These rumen microbes need adequate protein to break down the fiber in forage and create energy, heat, etc. during this type of digestion. “Protein supplementation in a moderate climate is important. In a colder climate, however, with subzero temperatures and deep snow, we find energy deficiency is also a big issue. So we look at supplementation strategies that provide adequate energy as well as protein during those critical days,” Lardner explains. These cows must be fed a higher quality type of hay or a supplement that contains more energy. The needs for more energy and/or protein might be met just by feeding alfalfa hay, but you have to look at the cost of the hay and/or supplement. Producers have to find feeds that are cost-effective. “Look around your local area and see what kinds of supplement possibilities are available – for protein and energy. If the cows need more energy, you’d want something that would be similar to barley grain or corn grain. There is a lot of distiller grain byproduct available, and sometimes it will pencil in a bit lower if you are close to a plant. If not, this type of supplement is out of the question because of the high cost of hauling it very far,” says Lardner. n

THE Land Guy
October 2020
Stay up to date with the latest market trends in farmland.
David Whitaker • Broker/Auctioneer
Farmers National Company • www.FarmersNational.com
Land is moving! We have seen land prices holding steady. Good land sells very well at auction. Medium quality land prices really depend on the area, and the neighbors. There is a fare amount of land that will be hitting the market in the coming months after harvest. CFAP 2 was released with a welcomed sigh of relief for many farmers and livestock producers. It will continue to relieve the stress that are on all farmers in todays market. My prediction is that we will continue to see some outstanding land prices on the 80 CSR ground.
The Land Guy
Results from the 107 Sales (11,634 acres) this last month have the average for the state at $7,101 ($102/CSR), high quality ground at $9,137/acre, and medium quality ground averaging $5,851/acre. Low quality ground is averaging $4,425/acre.

I love fall so much, the crisp days and the gorgeous changing of the leaves, but FOOTBALL is my favorite. As I sit here with my cozy wool socks, a bag of plain M&Ms (a little melted) and a Dr. Pepper (my deadline comfort snacks), I’m a little sad no more freshman football games or 6th grade volleyball games! Now it’s on to basketball! So, wish Matt, Treva and me luck in traveling and traveling some more! Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and staying safe during harvest and in your travels to all the fall sales! I received a picture from my friend, Kim Tibken, the other day of one of her twin boys during a mini hereford show. She told me to really look at it, at first I thought it was because one of my dearest friends had been judging the show, Shawn Varner. In the picture Shawn is first bumping Landon. She said, “No, that’s not what I wanted you to see. You need to really look close!” I thought well Landon looks super pumped with his cute grin. Nope, still not it. Skylar FaceTiming their Dad (who had to be home harvesting) outside the ring? Nope, do you see Logan? If you look close you see a little white arm up in the air to Shawn’s left! Kim then says, “I wish everyone was a Logan! That kid was so excited and happy for his brother he was jumping up and down!” Kim is so right, her boys could have been jealous of each other but instead celebrated! Logan chose to celebrate with his brother! Don’t ya wish you had a “Logan” jumping up and down to celebrate you and your kids?! Remember that.... how you treat others is how you will be treated. Let’s spread a little love and kindness even if you don’t “win”! Please continue to ALWAYS keep our military and our nation in your prayers. Please guide our thoughts, our words and our actions ... BE KIND even if you don’t agree. Heidi Sorensen Rohrig 661-900-6004 heidi@livestockplusinc.com www.livestockplusinc.com
