Typography TYPOGRAPHY PORTFOLIO Free University of Bolzano â&#x20AC;˘ Bozen Faculty of Design and Art Course: Typography and Digital Graphic SS 2010 Student: Liviana Osti Typography: prof. Michela Carlini

These are some portfolio’s exercises of typography and digital graphics. The final work consists in a Japanise bookbound portfolio. Inside there are multiple and different exercises, from the layouting to the 3 dimensional typography in space. During the course the history and development of type have been analysed. The exercises explore, in sequence, the creation of new “material” types, the reproduction by hand of fonts, the assemblation and combination of given fonts in patterns with precise meanings or directions, the design of posters about the historical leaden typographical characters, the transfer of 3D typography from the real space to paper, the exploration and experimentation with the specific layout of different typologies of wroten pieces.
