CAPA Fund is not a teaching organization and nor does it solicit students from area studios. Auditions are open to the public and all trained performers are welcome to attend. American Youth Ballet Company The Nutcracker, CAPA Fund’s annual production is one of the highlighted productions featured at the Ferguson Center during the holiday season. It has earned a reputation that the production rivals even the best of regional companies elevating the young company’s status to what can comfortably call “professional.” Guest Cavalier from NY City Ballet, Jonathan Stafford quoted, “How befitting for Williamsburg with its rich historical significance to have Sandra Balestracci as artistic director, an individual so devoted to preserving the elements and details of classical ballet. Her choreography was challenging yet capable for correctly trained dancers. This company provides all dancers an opportunity to work hard and places real goals for those who anticipate a professional career.” American Youth Players CAPA Fund’s musical theater productions continue to provide showcase opportunities that lead to professional jobs in musical theater. The 2011 spring musical “Roar of the Greasepaint” received accolades for it outstanding production. Visit the “Celebrity Page” on CAPA Fund’s website at www.capafund.org to see more success stories.
