Once upon a time, there was a beautiful kingdom, in which the inhabitants were happy, living in harmony. The king and the queen had a kind son, named Tristan. But one fateful day, a bad wizard kidnapped the prince. The king and the queen were very sad, and they sent the army to the castle of the powerful wizard to get their son back. But none of them returned. Then, they sent the best warriors they had, but like the others, they didn’t return. After that, sunk in despair, the queen and the king offered a reward to anyone who could get the prince Tristan back. In that kingdom, there was a low-class family who had a very brave daughter named Kath. She loved adventure and strong emotions. She was thin and short, and in her face stood out two big, green eyes, with a rough glance. As her family was poor, and the reward for the prince was good, she decided to go to the wizard’s castle and save the prince. She travelled days and days on foot until she arrived at the wizard’s castle. It was a terrifying construction, with a lot of towers and a trench around it. It gave goosebumps! Kath managed to get in the castle with the carriage that brought the food. Once she was there, she looked for the prince everywhere, but she didn’t find him. She installed herself in a cleaning room for two weeks. One day, she was hiding behind a curtain spying the people, and a servant came out of a secret room. Before the door closed, she entered in it. It was a luxurious room, with a big bed in it, in which laid no more and no less than the prince! Kath was really surprised. Tristan looked healthy and happy, not liked having been kidnapped by the worst magician that had ever existed! He was serenely reading a book, dressed in elegant clothes and well accommodated.
He suddenly looked at Kath and asked her ‘Who are you? What are you doing here?’ with a disconcerted, stupid expression. Then, the girl was more than surprised, she was completely amazed! Kath hid in the prince’s room for one month, in which she discovered a lot of things about the prince. She realized that the prince was a very spoiled kid, so difficult to treat with. 125 Tristan was one year older than Kath. He had curly brown hair, an aquiline nose, and an arrogant glance; strong shoulders and an athletic body, which made everyone think that he was quite a great warrior. He grew up as a rich kid, with five personal butlers. He had everything he wanted when he wanted. But he had never went out of the castle in which he lived in. Deep inside, he was scared of the world, and he protected himself by behaving that way. But luckily, Kath was a smart girl, and she understood what happened to him. So, during that month, Kath told the prince all that she knew about the world, and all the stories she had listened in the street when she was little, about far away islands, told by the old sailors who went to the kingdom to sell their fish. Tristan opened his mind and listened to every word that Kath said. Finally, he had become a good person, thanks to the girl. He also realised that, in the end, he had fallen in love with Kath, but he kept it for himself. One night, she asked him to escape from the castle, and the prince agreed. They escaped through the window and walked away for days and days until they arrived at the kingdom. Once they were there, Kath took the prince to the palace, she got the reward and returned to her home as a heroine, and her family could live better thanks to the money. A few years later, Tristan asked Kath to marry him, but Kath couldn’t say yes. She was a free soul, incapable of being all her life with someone! That way she expressed her feelings to the young king. To his displeasure, he understood, and let her go; but he told her that she would always have a home in his kingdom. Kath travelled around the world, she did great things for people; and she always had a place to return to.
