Queensland ANZAC Centenary Grant Program The Queensland ANZAC Centenary grant program is open for local community groups to apply for funding to celebrate and recognise the ANZAC centenary.

The program has undergone some changes and is now comprised of two programs.

The Spirit of Service grant is a new program offering funding up to $20 000 for projects commemorating the centenary including the First World War and the Centenary of Service through to the present day. This program is open all year with increased opportunities for applicants to make submissions.

The Lasting Legacies program is larger with funding available from $20 001 to $80 000 to assist communities deliver major projects. This program is offered once a year.

Applicants across both programs can secure funding for commemorative projects such as research, community education activities, restoration or enhancement of memorials or honour boards.

We have come to expect lots of information from our guest speakers and Wendy certainly delivered in her talk on ‘geraniums’. She said that the plants we call geraniums are really pelargoniums, and originate in South Africa – thus suiting our climate.

True geraniums come from the Northern Hemisphere and need a cool climate. For instance, they grow well in Iceland. There are three main types: Zonal, the most common garden variety. Most of them have lost the ‘zone’ which gives them their name; Ivy – well known to all; and Regal.

These geraniums like cooler conditions but will grow here in ‘cool’ afternoon shade, ie under a tree, not on a balcony. They are useful in our climate as they are not thirsty. They need a well-drained soil but are not fussy as to type. Clay that is broken up with humus added is fine. If grown in a pot, water must not lie in the saucer. They don’t need a lot of fertilizer, one teaspoon of slow release twice a year is enough. I using on tablespoon of dynamic lifter.

As zonal geraniums flower on the ends of the branches, they need regular pruning, taking off about a third of the branch. The cuttings can be used to make new plants. If the plants are not flowering, potash can be tried.

The two main diseases are rust, and bacterial stem rot. Rust can be treated with antifungal sprays. If using a contact spray, the underside of the leaves must be wetted to kill the spores.

Affected leaves can be taken off BUT must be thrown away, not composted. To prevent rust, reduce overhead watering. There is no treatment for the bacterial stem rot which turns the stem black and ‘dead’, although the end may still have green leaves. Cut out the affected stem as low as possible. Do not use the ‘live’ end to start a new plant. If badly affected, the whole plant may need to be discarded. Sterilise seccateurs before using on another geranium.

Scented geraniums are edible. Wendy had lots of geraniums with all the different scents.

She mixed up a lemon and rose scented pot pouri with the chopped up leaves.

Some time ago, someone rang me wanting someone to help with basic gardening. At that time I didn’t know of anyone. But I now know of a young man who is looking for casual garden work on a Saturday morning. I can pass on his information if anyone needs this help.

with Susannah Friis Although it feels like we barely had a winter, the seasons have changed as they do and we find ourselves looking into the bright blue sky of spring.

There’s a reason spring is said by many to be their favourite month; there’s a freshness in the air, days of cloudless sky and dazzling sun, and signs of new life all around us.

Years ago, when our middle child was around five years old, we kept chickens. We had a rooster and so there were many little chicks pottering around, especially in the springtime. Our daughter loved those chooks. She would race down after school, barely changed from her uniform. We would find her sitting in the middle of the pen with one chook in her lap, sometimes with another perched comfortably on her head. She named every single one of them and knew all their little idiosyncrasies.

Now, we were, and still are, a happy meat eating family, so chicken (not one of our ones though) was often on the menu.

I held my breath every time I served a chicken dish up to our daughter, having usually just called her from the chook pen to wash her hands and come to tea.

And then one evening it happened. We were halfway through the meal when our five year old put down her fork and exclaimed, “This is chicken!� Before I could reply, our daughter continued, “Ha! How funny! Chicken (pointing out the back door)...and chicken (pointing to her meal)! They’re called the same name!� I glanced at our 12 year old son, silently begging him not to utter a word, before laughing nervously and agreeing that, yes, it was indeed funny that her meal and her pets shared the same name!

In this case, ignorance really was bliss! At some point though, and I can’t remember when it was for our daughter and chicken, we come into the truth of a thing and we have the opportunity to decide what to do with our newfound information.

Sometimes, we can be ignorant, either positively or negatively, about a person or situation and when the truth is revealed, it can take some time to adjust.

I’ve seen many times when people realise a truth about someone else and they just can’t get past it; other times, the truth is revealed and accepted with open arms. There are times when what is shown to be true is hard to face, especially if it’s someone we love and thought we knew. But just as knowing that there really is only one thing called chicken could have devastated our daughter and made her vow never to eat it again, we can discount all the good a person has done when we learn something about them that we were previously oblivious to. The brave way out of ignorance is an acknowledgement that we are all faulty, that we all have traits and past deeds that we would rather others were ignorant of. Does our past or a truth about our character mean that all the good we’ve ever done doesn’t count? No. Rather, it reveals our human frailty and natural condition.

Don’t be a chicken (see what I did there?), keep loving and standing beside others even when our ignorance is shattered and truth comes shining through.

More nappies needed!

Residents may have seen signs on local shops and businesses during May about the Nappy Collective and wondered what it was all about.

The Nappy Collective is an initiative that began in Melbourne in 2013 after founder Sandra Jacobs found a stash of nappies her daughter had outgrown. She had also recently learnt of many mothers in shelters who struggled to cover basic needs for their young children, causing stress, financial difficulty and health challenges for babies.

Combining her passion of innovative philanthropy with a social conscience, The Nappy Collective held its first collective in Melbourne and collected 1,500 nappies in a fortnight. The concept proved successful and The Nappy Collective is now held biannually in May and October nationwide.

During the recent May collection period, the Brisbane Collective contributed over 25 000 to the 715 000 that were donated nationally.

While excited at the record breaking number of donations for the May Collective, the Nappy Collective team are hoping that the October drive will be even bigger.

Founder, Sandra Jacobs said,“We’re overwhelmed by the generosity of our amazing community. To collect over one million nappies in less than three years is a huge achievement. Together, we’ve been able to help so many families in need and show these mothers how much the community cares. A few nappies may not make a difference but collectively, one million can.”

The October drive will be held for two weeks from 14-28 October and is supported locally by the following shops and businesses: Foodworks, 113 Oxley Station Road, Oxley; Target, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre; Target, Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre; Orion Springfield Central; LJ Hooker Forest Lake, 3 The Esplanade, Forest Lake; Target, Forest Lake Shopping Centre; Target, Cnr Mt Lindsay Highway and Browns Plains Rd, Browns Plains; and Target, Ipswich.

The Nappy Collective then donates the nappies to local charities which include: Elorac Place Community Centre, Carole Park (Emergency & Crisis Support, Family and Young Parent Support); Giving Grannies, who support a number of organisations with newborn gift and support packs; Project Love & Care; Domestic Violence Action Centre, Ipswich; Westside Community Care, Springfield (low income families support); Young Families Connect; and Ipswich State High School (Young Pregnant & Parenting Network).

In total, nappies were donated to around 21 organisations in Brisbane. Following the May collective, most of these organisations have already used their nappies so there is a huge need for them.

Local students shoot for the stars at NASA’s annual space comp

Each year, NASA hosts an international competition that invites eligible students from all over the world to participate in designing a habitation in space that will be a home for over 10,000 people.

This year, at their 20th annual contest, four Corinda State High students were invited to join the Australian team competing in the International Space Settlement Design Competition (ISSDC) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre as part of a team of fifteen students from Australia.

Jakub Blahout, Jaiden Jack, Connor Roberts and Dhruv Singh were joined by students from America, Canada, China and Romania to form the company that by the end of the competition would see them be awarded runners-up.

Over the four-day competition, the boys competed with and against students from all over the world. Their task was to design a terraforming space settlement for the planet Mars. To do this, they were provided with direction from NASA and Boeing Engineers as well as other leading space companies- a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Their proposal for the settlement was judged by engineers from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Houston (Texas) Section, who work in and near NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) and are familiar with the current state of the art. Students had to ensure they based their designs on reasonable interpretations of the level of existing technology defined here, the laws of Physics, and common sense- this task was no mean feat!

The boys also had lunch with Rick Searfoss, astronaut and commander of Endeavour, as well as meeting with Chris Ferguson, the last astronaut to command the final space shuttle missions on Atlantis, and Norm Fuller, who was heavily involved in the initial designing of the space shuttles in 1968, as well as being an incredible wealth of knowledge and more than willing to share his stories.

“This trip has been an eye-opener for the students and myself, and one that will stay with all of us for the rest of our lives. I wish the Australian Space Design Competition of 2017 all the best for the upcoming competitions, so that other students have the same opportunity as we had,” said Mr Richard Jack of the experience.

After returning from the competition, Corinda’s four student competitors were invited to meet the local State Member for Mount Ommaney Ms Tarnya Smith at Parliament House. The four boys’ were firstly congratulated

by Ms Smith then spent time with her discussing the competition and sharing the many experiences they each had during their time overseas.

A new national survey from R U OK? has revealed Australians spend an average of 46 hours of their weekly downtime looking at their TVs and digital devices, compared to an average of six hours engaging with family and friends.

The suicide prevention charity has also revealed that around half of Australians spend less than two hours of their weekly downtime connecting with the people who matter to them.

R U OK? Campaign Director Rebecca Lewis said the research has highlighted that we’re more intimately acquainted with our devices than the highs and lows of our families’ and friends’ lives.

“There’s nothing wrong with taking time to relax and unwind but we need to ensure our screen time is not trumping our relationships,” Rebecca said. “The fact that we’re spending almost eight times the amount of hours with our screens, instead of engaging with the people who matter to us, suggests that we’re losing touch with one another.”

R U OK? Board Director and Executive Director of the Black Dog Institute, Professor Helen Christensen, said finding time in our busy schedules for relationships is critical.

“Connecting with people we care about is so important for maintaining good mental health. We know that strong and caring connections with friends and family provide a vital safety net to help people cope with the challenging moments in life,” Helen said. “Conversely, withdrawing from social engagement is often a sign of poor mental health and this is the time when loved ones need to stay connected, no matter how difficult it may be.”

A warm welcome to Mr Russell Morgan, St John’s new Director of Performing Arts. He has commenced this term, just as Stage 2 of the Performing Arts Centre of Excellence is shortly to commence construction – fresh beginnings to expand on a wonderful foundation.

Russell comes to St John’s from Nambour Christian College, where he taught for 15 years. For 10 of those years he was Head of their Creative and Performing Arts. Russell brings a wealth of experience in the arts including teaching, directing, producing, designing and choreographing all aspects of school performance life.

Besides being a seasoned teacher, Russell brings years of experience in performing in both professional and amateur realms. He is the founding Director of Inside Out Theatre Company, a community theatre group that also runs a primary drama program teaching drama and performing productions.

Russell describes himself as a passionate, dedicated, energetic teacher; a leader who strives to provide the best opportunities for students and staff. He aims to enhance our students’ academic learning, build character and foster good citizenship.

We are looking forward to benefiting from the energy and experience that Russell brings to St John’s. His vision is to grow a passion for the Arts within our students by combining excellent programs and experiences with an element of fun.

“Life is a musical; many aren’t brave enough to burst into song or swing on that lamp post,” Russell said. By providing a safe environment he wants to inspire students to take risks in performance exploration, developing self-expression and showcasing talents.

Given that this world has so many dark and troublesome facets Russell’s philosophy for the Arts is founded on the belief that entertainment is vital in people’s lives to bring joy and ways of healthy escapism so that hope can grow. The Arts and live entertainment - music, drama and visual art - provide real faces and rich multi-faceted colourful interactions for the world.

Those experiences far outweigh those of a screen.

Fleas and tips for Spring The most important problem parasite that we need to keep under control, with spring here and summer almost upon us, is the flea. There are a few important things to keep in mind about the flea life cycle.

Fleas come on your animal for a blood meal. The majority of the flea life cycle, that is 95%, occurs off the pet in the environment, sand, bark chips, dirt, carpet, blankets and where your pet lives and sleeps.

Now that our environment is drier, they are turning into perfect flea breeding spots. The different flea development stages can be completed very rapidly especially in the warmer months. With this resulting environmental contamination, it is a huge problem as the flea re-emergence, which is fleas hatching from eggs laid up to six months beforehand, can reinfest your pet.

Remember to ask your vet about the right flea product for your pet and your environment. There are many different products available and often a combination of a short and long term strategy is needed and a plan for removing the environmental contamination.

It is hard work getting rid of a flea problem, so better to maintain flea treatment throughout the year as prevention is better than cure. Most vets have a hydrobath service which is a great way to clean you pet and using a good flea treatment, protect your pet in combination with your monthly treatment. This is great for tick and flea control.

Clients often come in complaining that the flea product they are using is not effective, and they often say that the fleas are resistant to that particular product. However research shows that the major cause of ineffective flea control is due to non-compliance by the owner.

That being the case I thought it might be useful to list some absolutes that need to be followed to make sure you get the maximum benefit from your flea product and remain flea free: • all pets in the household must be treated • check that all pets are receiving the correct product for their weight • make sure you give the treatment on the same day every month • check the date you gave the last three flea treatments • how many fleas can you see on your pet?

• are there any other pets that have access to your environment eg neighbours cats?

• does your pet have access to under the house?

• do you wash your pet regularly?

It is really important if using the flea treatment applied to the back of the neck that you do not wash your pet 24 hours before or after treatment. And use a soap free mild shampoo which will not strip the oils from the coat as these are needed to distribute the flea product.

Oxley-Chelmer History Group Update

The Men of Bank Road Graceville Behind the development of the thriving shopping centre in Bank Road has been a series of men with vision for serving Graceville residents.

Claude Hadley built a grocery store on the south corner of Bank Road and Honour Avenue in 1919. As it was opposite the railway station, it attracted business from new residents taking up recently subdivided land.

Walter (Wally) Tatham bought the shop in 1952. He converted it to be a self-service store, claiming it was the first such store in the district. This marked a change from the days when the grocer served customers from behind the counter. In 1966, Mr Tatham demolished the building and built a block of five shops along Bank Road. These were occupied by a jeweller, a florist, a boutique, a delicatessen and a new self-service store.

Auld & Eltherington opened a butcher’s shop on the northern corner of Bank Road and Honour Avenue in 1924.

Various owners continued the business, including John Cock, S A Nixon and Baillie & Rodgers.

Herbert Gersekowski conducted a chain of three butcher shops in Graceville and Chelmer, from 1936. In 1947, he bought the shop on the corner of Bank Road from Baillie & Rodgers. After Mr Gersekowski’s death in 1953, his sons, Graham and Russell, continued the business. In 1969 they demolished the corner shop and adjacent properties to make way for a shopping block of six shops.

Chris Maniatis has conducted Chris’s Superior Fruit in Bank Road since the early 1990s. He took over a fruit shop previously known as Ray’s Fruit (owned by Ray Baldry).

Chris had purchased the shops on the south side of Bank Road from Walter Tatham in 1985. In 2007 he bought the shops on the north side previously developed by the Gersekowski family.

Chris, his wife Wendy, with sons Peter and Tass, expanded to include an extensive delicatessen section and Wendy’s Kitchen, supplying prepared meals, cakes and sweets. In 2009 the family company undertook a major re-development of the north-side shops and into Honour Avenue, taking account of the needs for new restaurants and coffee shops such as Boucher and Three Girls Skipping. The restaurant’s French name Boucher reflects the previous butcher shops on the site.

Over time all these shops have had various tenants supplying the needs of Graceville residents, thanks to the foresight of the men who made it possible.

Small native plants for small gardens Native Plants Queensland will hold their annual event at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens Auditorium on Saturday 17 September from 9am to 4pm and Sunday 18 September from 9am to 3pm.

Local support for mums of all ages The Australian Breastfeeding Association is Australian’s leading authority on breastfeeding, and works at many levels, from mother to mother support to advocacy and public awareness. As a Registered Training Organisation, the Association invests in training volunteer counsellors and community educators with the most up-to-date, evidence-based breastfeeding research and information, so that they can provide practical support and information to mothers.

Previously, the Sherwood Group of the Association covered the suburbs between Inala and Chelmer. Recently, the group changed its name to ‘Sherwood and Surrounds’, to reflect the widening of its area to include all of the Centenary suburbs. The group now holds discussion topic meetings at venues in both Sherwood and Riverhills, as well as meet-ups at various parks across the area. Currently, there are close to 100 members, but anyone is encouraged to visit to see what is on offer.

Expectant and new Mums (regardless of how they choose to feed their babies), partners, relatives, toddlers and older children are all welcome at our meetings and events. It’s like a Mums’ Group, but with interesting discussion topics. Examples of topics include: sleep, introducing solids, weaning, alternative feeding methods, the science of breastfeeding, managing a new baby in the early days, and guest presenters also feature, covering a range of general parenting topics. Members can access a library of breastfeeding and parenting books and resources, and afterwards there’s a chance to chat with a trained breastfeeding counsellor, meet new Mums (or old friends) and have morning tea.

The Sherwood and Surrounds Group is heavily involved in the local community, with projects such as the distribution of ‘Breastfeeding Welcome Here’ stickers to venues in the local area, and accreditation of baby care/parent rooms. The Mt Ommaney Centre recently achieved five-star ratings for its three baby care rooms, which offer all parents a very comfortable venue to care for the needs of their little ones, whether it be feeding, changing, or just having some quiet time before resuming shopping.

Hospital-grade, double electric breast pumps can also be hired from the group, with 50% discount for Australian Breastfeeding Association members. An initiative of the Australian Breastfeeding Association, Baby’s Day Out aims to celebrate babies and their place in our world and their right to be fed wherever they are.

Community perceptions can be influenced by positive images and real life examples and spring is the perfect time for families to go out together, taking babies and children along to share the fun.

All families are welcome to come along to the Sherwood Arboretum (look for the ABA banner) on Monday, 24 October from 9.30am - 12pm.

Activities will include face painting and games and there will be coffee available for purchase. Plus, don’t forget to pick up your free ABA gift bag.

Graceville Community Garden Update

The recent Points to Peak Festival at Oxley Common provided a great opportunity for the Graceville Community Gardeners to promote the garden and encourage others to join. The gardeners had been working for weeks to ensure there was plenty of stock to give away to budding gardeners. More than 150 strawberry, basil, tomato and mint seedlings were freely given to anyone who stopped to chat and ask about our garden.

There was also a raffle of two herb gardens which proved very popular, along with honey and pickle tasting. The gardeners had put together a great display featuring produce from the garden, tools, mulch, compost and worms. Judging by the interest and questions, there will be a few new members visiting in future.

With the coming of Spring, the gardeners ran a ‘first Saturday of the month’ arvo working bee culminating in a pot luck meal. The inaugural event was held recently from 3pm till dusk. We hope this will encourage those who are unable to attend the Sunday morning working bees. On the second to fifth weekends of the month, the working bees will continue to be held on Sundays 7am - 9am.

The entertaining Roman Spur returns to the gardens on Saturday 1 October, with two lectures to enjoy: 1pm 3pm will feature ‘Raw Food’ and the 3.30pm - 5.30pm session will cover ‘Fermented Food’. To book, check out the ‘Spurtopia’ website (www.spurtopia.blogspot.com.au).

Friends of Sherwood arboretum

A never-to-be-forgotten event in our local history has been powerfully remembered with a Council restoration project in Sherwood Arboretum.

A simple new historic marker of angled timber beams, reflecting the power and destructive force of untamed water, now shows the maximum level reached by the 1974 floods which inundated hundreds of homes and local businesses. Hungry termites permanently damaged Council’s original flood marker, one of several installed at key points around Brisbane to remember the 25th anniversary of the January 1974 flood.

Vast areas of Brisbane were flooded, 14 lives were lost, an estimated 6700 homes ruined and 5000 people were left homeless by this natural disaster. Brisbane City Council has expertly replicated (pictured) the original flood marker erected in the heritage-listed Arboretum to remember the 1974 catastrophe, the city’s highest flood since 1893.

The image by Joe Reichman of a lone canoeist (pictured) paddling down the avenue of submerged Queensland Kauri trees remains a powerful reminder of the impact of the 2011 flood on the Arboretum.

The records show that the great floods of February 1893 caused 11 deaths, destroyed the Indooroopilly Rail and Victoria Bridges and temporarily relocated the gunboat Paluma, of Queensland’s colonial navy, and a steamship into the Brisbane Botanic Gardens.

Seven major flood peaks have been recorded in Brisbane since records began in 1841.

The latest, of course, was the January 2011 flood, which peaked at 4.46 m, the sixth highest in Brisbane, impacting on some 20,000 homes and numerous businesses.

These floods saw an amazing ‘mud army’ of volunteers rally to help hundreds of flood victims, who fortunately were spared the extreme flash flooding which impacted Toowoomba and the Lockyer Valley. Thankfully, the 2011 flood was 2m below the 1974 peak for Sherwood Arboretum’s extraordinary collection of Australian native trees.

The Chelmer and District Probus Club Inc. draws its members from suburbs Chelmer to Oxley and all surrounding suburbs and welcomes new members to join in the fun, friendship and fellowship.

At our last meeting, Keith Revell, President of the Queensland Justices Association (QJA), the peak industry body that represents Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declaration throughout Queensland told us of the history of JP’s going back to King Richard (The Lionheart) in 11891199 and how the role has evolved over the centuries. Today QJA provides training, information and resources to its members. Keith also informed us about the many services that JP’s offer the community today.

In August, a number of members enjoyed High Tea in The Strangers’ Dining Room at Parliament House. This was the original Members’ Dining Room but today the term ‘Stranger’ refers to anyone in the parliamentary precinct who is not a Member of the Legislative Assembly. The beautifully restored room with its early Australian cedar furniture was stunning, the fine china and crystal glasses were brought out for the occasion, the savoury foods and cakes were delicate and just delicious and of course the company was excellent. Most members joined in a tour after the meal and found the library with its 35,000 books and newspapers most interesting. This was another outing which gave us an insight into Brisbane’s history and with convivial company which was enjoyed by all.

The garden group meets monthly and groups of members continue to meet for lunch at local venues after our meetings, with the walking group meeting weekly for some early morning exercise. The book swap group enthusiastically swap books and discuss their latest read.

Our next meeting is Wednesday 28th September when Leah and Clarissa from Care to Move will reveal to us the intricacies of managing a downsizing move. Learn how to Plan, Perform and Position your move.

Membership is drawn from Indooroopilly to Oxley, Centenary suburbs and Moorooka/Yeronga area. We are known as a friendly, caring club where member’s welfare is paramount. There are vacancies for new members to enjoy friendship, fellowship and fun.

In early September, members are looking forward to celebrating the 40th anniversary of Probus in Australia at Oxley Golf Club. There is entertainment and an Anniversary Book will be produced to which members have contributed. There are some excellent prizes donated by local sponsors.

In early August, members enjoyed a cruise with morning tea and lunch to the Bremer River junction with the Brisbane River.

The newly formed walking group walked the Oxley Common Walkway where many species of interesting plants and birds are to be found. All enjoyed the brisk start to the day including a member’s dog. The next walk will start at the Pamphlett Bridge.

In early October, the theatre group will be seeing Singin’ In the Rain at the Lyric Theatre.

Adam Garcia, who was a judge on Dancing with the Stars, is now unavailable due to a leg injury and a replacement is being sought. Late January, Matilda the Musical is at the Lyric Theatre.

Queensland Ballet’s The Nutcracker is booked for Wednesday 21 December at the Playhouse Theatre. The Australian Ballet’s performance of Sleeping Beauty is at the Lyric Theatre on Saturday 21 February. This show runs for 170 minutes with two intervals.

The lunch group meets at a local golf club. The dinner group resumed late August at a local Thai restaurant.

The movie group’s choice is Dough at the Regal Theatre Graceville.

The book group meets on the fourth Friday of the month. September’s selection is The Life of Pi by Yann Martel.

Both the book and scrabble groups meet at the Ken Croll Centre at Sherwood Services Club.

Oxley Men’s Shed Update

by Jim Pascoe Once again we’ve had a very full and rewarding month of activities in the shed with a number of projects completed and some new ones in the process of construction.

We have been given permission by the Parish Council to go ahead and apply for a grant to allow us to install a lift to gain access to the upstairs hall as there a number of our members who have trouble climbing the stairs when we have some of our activities there. If we are successful in our grant application, the lift installation will be a benefit not only to the congregation of St John’s but to the whole community who use this hall for a number of activities.

The latest mentoring program with students from Corinda State High School has been completed with the students learning a number of skills and how to operate the tools and equipment to allow them to complete their projects. At the completion of their term, they were all presented with a pen made by shed member Trevor Broomfield.

We have had a number of men visit our shed to see what is happening there as well as having two new applicants join us in our deliberations. You don’t have to be a craftsman to come along and enjoy a good time with a welcoming group of friendly shed members.

We meet every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at the St John’s Anglican Church Hall in California Road, Oxley beginning at 9.00am. The jug is always on for a cup of coffee.
