Historian’s Note Hey friends, For this month, the inspiration behind the issue is My Neighbor Totoro. He is the lovable, warm, and caring character in the film, which is reflective of March’s aesthetics. Enjoy this issue of the sealy news and don’t forget that you can leave advice whenever and on whatever. Your key club historian, Athena Chen

Seal of the Month
Seal of the month is........
MICHELLE LAM Michelle is a sophomore who joined Key Club this year and has made a truly wonderful impact in the short time she has been in the club. Her positive mindset and active partaking in activities is why she is chosen for March’s seal of the month. In an interview about her experience in Key Club she said, “Welcoming everyone with open doors, Key Club has played a key role in granting me a chance to grow as a person all the while receiving beneficial opportunities. It was through these numerous opportunities where I enabled myself to branch out and communicate with other fellow members. Volunteering with my friends throughout this school year will remain a vast highlight of the first semester. All and all, Key Club has been an immense aspect of my sophomore year providing me with fulfilling memories filled with joy and positivity leaving me eager to see what moments have yet to be unlocked.”

January DCM
The January DCM was a collaboration with division 10N, division 10S, and division 35W. Although this DCM had taken place over zoom due to Covid pre-cautions, the event was still successful. The theme was based on the recent release of Spiderman. The meeting was well planned and many members who went recall having a blast when participating in the ice breakers.

Raising Cane’s Fundraiser The Raising Cane’s fundraiser was a delicious triumph. It was organized by division 35E and division 35W. The proceeds went towards The Governor’s Project, where its mission is “promoting a better lifestyle”. In an interview with some people who participated in the fundraiser, they mentioned how they would like to see more fundraisers like this and that it was fun to go with friends.

2022-2023 Officer Applications Do you have an interest in leadership? Well this is the perfect opportunity for you to help out the community and gain experience in a leadership position. As a Key Club officer, you will be expected to be an active member of Key Club and a good role model for the other members. Depending on the roles, you will have to fulfill your duties and stay on top of your work, as well as actively communicate with the other officers. Some positions that are open this year is spirit leader and tech editor. Spirit leader leads chants during fall rally along side the LTG and helps maintain a good energy within the members. Tech editor creates flyers to promote the club and manages all social media accounts. If you have an interest in any of these roles, applications will be out soon! If you application passes, then an officer will be in contact with you to schedule an interview. Good luck everyone!
