A word from our president Hi seals! This is your key club president, Samantha Tang. September has been wonderful with the most participation from members that we’ve seen in a while. I would like to thank all those who have actively participated in division events. For those who could not attend, please look forward to upcoming events by our key club. These events are a prime opportunity to gain service hours and bond with friends. The cabinet members and I are always on the look out for seal of the month during these events, so be sure to participate. I hope everyone has a great November! Thanks, Samantha Tang

A word from our historian Hi everybody! This is Athena Chen, your key club historian. This month’s issue of The Sealy News is inspired by seals, totally not obvious. The color palette in this issue is dominated by shades of blue and white since seals live in an icy environment. I hope all of you enjoy this month’s issue and look forward to the next issue. If there are any questions, concerns, or comments, feel free to reach out through one of the socials linked on page 11! Yours truly, Athena Chen

Seal of the month

~Caitlyn Sun~ The seal of the month for November is Caitlyn Sun. She demonstrates the true values of a key club member by actively participating in events and spreading positivity. Caitlyn says that “key club has been a great and fun way to connect with others in our community and division. I’ve formed and strengthened friendships and I have had so much with interactions and the events that have happened so far! I’m excited for the rest of the activities and events planned and can’t wait to form new connections and relationships.” Thank you for your active participation and enthusiasm for key club!

Event Recap:

September DCM The September DCM had a special collaboration with Division 35 East, with the concept of a battle between spirits. Los Altos had great turnout with about 30 members attending and staying the full duration of the meeting. Emma Arredondo, had attended and said that “The September DCM was a lot of fun and I hope I get the chance to attend another one. We played an ice breaker game and learned some spirit chants together which was very exciting.” The meeting started off as usual with each present club sharing old and upcoming news. After, the crowd was split by divisions and then into smaller groups to learn the spirit chants in preparation for Fall Rally. The event was a good opportunity to bond with friends and make new connections! Make sure to attend event’s similar to these if you are planning to go to Fall Rally at Six Flags.

Event Recap:

Region Night Market The region night market was a success! Divisions 10 North, 10 South, 15 North, 15 East, 15 West, 15 South, 35 East, and last but not least 35 West came together to sell food. Covid precautions were followed at all times and about an hour into the event, all the food had prepackaged food had sold out. It was a great opportunity to hang out with friends and enjoy good food. I especially liked the popcorn chicken!
