Dear Lourdes Family,
I feel so blessed to have a job where I can guide students down a sometimes difficult road to academic excellence. My goal is to challenge, inspire and love them! The relationship I have with them on a daily basis is the number one reason that I continue teaching. They are fun and (mostly) appreciative. I also love working in an environment where God is at the forefront of any discussions. That ability is powerful! I am also blessed in having people of strong faith as my colleagues as well as supportive parents who truly value a Catholic education for their children. This school has been a tremendous, life-changing gift to me. There is so much truth in the statement that the people you surround yourself with will shape your life. I will forever feel grateful for the opportunity to have a career where my passion and love of teaching has only grown throughout the years!
In love and appreciation—Diana Harris
Forty-two years and counting! That is a long time to be employed anywhere! For me, it has always been about the culture and atmosphere at Lourdes Central Catholic School. We just have really good students here that are serious about their education, their faith, and have a real concern for others. Pair that with supportive parents, good administrators and fellow staff members who always “have your back.” To me, that is just a winning combination for all our students! My goal has always been to turn out into society young adults who are ready to contribute to today’s world. Graduates from Lourdes Central Catholic School have gone on to post-secondary education, joined the military or have entered the work force successfully. I feel, “mission accomplished!” Thank you for the opportunity to watch your children grow into confident and caring young adults!

“Catholic education is above all a question of communicating Christ, of helping to form Christ in the lives of others.”
Pope St. John Paul II
“Too often, education becomes solely a kind of preparation for a career. Too often, schools teach us how to make a living, but not how to live. Catholic education has to be different...it has to help us to know, love, and serve the Lord.” Bishop James Conley
“One thing that I really love about Lourdes is that it’s not just a school, it’s a community. My class isn’t just my class, they’re my family. I love the fact that at Lourdes we are so close and our teachers treat us as if we are their own kids.” Carlos Serna, Class of 2018
Last year, in response to a growing need, Lourdes Central Catholic School launched its first Annual Appeal. The results have been almost miraculous! The school received over $200,000 in donations! We were able to increase student financial aid, bring teacher salaries closer to the levels at public schools, and balance our budget. You have recently received correspondence announcing our 2018 Annual Appeal. Our hopes and prayers for success continue as we strive to grow our fund with new contributions. No gift is too small. Our number one goal is 100% participation of our Lourdes family. Every gift is precious and deeply appreciated! Please prayerfully consider a gift to the Lourdes Central Catholic School 2018 Annual Appeal. Enclosed is a pledge card and return envelope for your convenience. I thank God for all the wonderful gifts our school has received this past year and for all of you. Yours in Christ,
