Over the past five years, Lourdes Central Catholic has been planning for our future. We have increased teacher salaries to 89% of public school teacher salaries. We have increased our tuition 15% a year over the past three years. As with most Catholic schools, tuition doesn’t cover the actual cost of education and we rely on fundraising to help cover the gap between our tuition income and expenses. Your investment in our Annual Appeal makes it possible for families to afford a Catholic education and to maintain competitive salaries for our dedicated faculty and staff. Every dollar raised supports our students in their pursuit of academic, character, and spiritual development so that they may be the future Catholic leaders the world so greatly needs. Why an Annual Appeal?
As a full-time Catholic missionary living in Asia I think a lot about “Christ-centered relationships.” The first time I was ever introduced to this idea was in my studies at Lourdes Central Catholic. The staff and faculty at Lourdes became a family to me because while I was always pushed to succeed in academics and my extracurricular activities, the core of the support I always received came from a place of Christ-centered love a true desire for one’s holiness.
For over 150 years Lourdes Central Catholic has prepared students for lifelong excellence by helping them identify, develop, and share their God-given talents and gifts. Your gift to the Lourdes Annual Appeal impacts every student and supports Lourdes Central Catholic’s mission “to assist parents in the development of their children by providing a Christ-centered environment which promotes spiritual, academic, and social growth to prepare students for active participation in the Church, in their families, and in society.” Giving once a year truly makes a difference every day! We humbly ask all faculty, staff, COST PER STUDENT* parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends of the school to give Tuition (6-12 Student) generously to our Annual Appeal. To this day I think one of the greatest gifts my parents gave to me was my Catholic education and the opportunity for the seeds planted in my heart at home and in church to be watered and nourished while receiving an above average academic formation as well. Many teachers at Lourdes were key in teaching me the value of a life lived for Christ and helped to equip me with the tools while cultivating a desire in my heart to “bear witness to the Gospel of His grace” (Acts 20:24) through my actions in whatever vocation or path I find myself on.
With a $200,000 GOAL, the Annual Appeal helps to fill the gap. Each gift, no matter its size, has a significant impact on our students.
