TWO THOUSAND AND NINETEEN GRATITUDE REPORT

LOURDES CENTRAL CATHOLIC SCHOOL

Dear Lourdes Family, Gratitude is a quality that seems so simple to share, but oftentimes can be difficult to express. We have renamed our annual report, our Gratitude Report because we want each one of you to know that you have made a difference in the lives of our students. I want to begin by expressing my profound gratitude to the many donors, volunteers, parents, alumni and the Nebraska City community for their continued support and belief in the mission of our school. Thank you to our staff; I am constantly in awe of how far you go over and above to give our students every opportunity and support. Thank you to our parents for your support of your children, the staff, and the school. Thank you to all the volunteers for your selfless service. Thank you to our donors; you help us keep the doors open and the lights on and make it possible for us to provide the best possible education for our students who make the world a better place for their faith-filled contribution. You have helped us change the future! With much to celebrate and even more to look forward to in the 2019-2020 school year, I am grateful for your continued support of Lourdes Central Catholic School. Sincerely in Christ,

Fr. Jonathan Haschke Chief Administrative Officer Lourdes Central Catholic School

Our extended family were students at St. Bernard’s/Lourdes for over half a century. We have always had great respect and gratitude for the faculty at Lourdes/St. Bernard’s. Faith and a sound education have been the foundation of our lives. We would not have our faith, success and happiness without this foundation. As a measure of our appreciation for all that St. Bernard’s/Lourdes has done for our family, we began the Frank and Jean Bataillon scholarship ten years ago. It is our purpose and hope that this scholarship will assist those families for which faith and education are a priority and it will provide the children of these families with the foundation that we received.

(Pete Bataillon. Class of 1969)

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS AND SUCCESSES The achievements of our students are a tribute to their involvement and dedication in all areas of the religious, academic, sports, and fine arts activities available at Lourdes Central Catholic School. We are committed to providing an environment where students can grow, thrive and carry the skills they learn at Lourdes into adulthood. “We have had five generations of our family at Lourdes, with the fifth generation just getting a good start! The school is like an extended family as the teachers are concerned with more than learning but whole-person development. So proud of the school and all it stands for!” (Judy Bennett ‘62)

LCC challenges our kids, both academically and spiritually. As a product of private schools, I know this school is a great value and this comes as a result of approaching things smartly and with a good amount of shared sacrifices from faculty and sta.
