My day Hi! I’m Nisha. I am 10 years old and live in India. India is a country in Asia where more than one billion people live. It has many states, languages, and festivals. I live near Mumbai in a city called Thane with my parents, my sister, and brother. My sister is older than me and my brother is younger. My mum works as a schoolteacher at the local school, and my dad works in an IT company in the city centre of Mumbai. Mumbai is a very big and busy city with lots of people who come and go every day to work, explore and hang out. In my free time, I like to be active. I often play cricket with my friends after school. Cricket is a popular sport in India. My best friend is Zara. She lives close to me, and we often hang out together. In the evening, I help my mum with dinner. I like to cook and my mum is cool. She tells me many funny stories about her students at school. In my family, we eat dinner together and talk about our day. My dad tells us about his daily train ride to Mumbai. He has promised us that we will all go there soon. That will be fun! Before I go to sleep, I write highlights from my day in my diary. FUN FACT
Cricket is the second most-loved sport in the world.
