The School of Renewable Natural Resources offers a graduate education to students who wish to explore the natural world and improve the management of wetlands, forest habitats, wildlife, and fish. 2,000 GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS AWARDED ANNUALLY AT LSU
LSU offers a variety of funding options for graduate students — fellowships, assistantships, and awards. Students seeking funding are encouraged to contact their respective academic departments first. Individual departments also offer many fellowship programs. Fellowships are short-term professional development opportunities. Unlike internships, fellowship programs generally offer a stipend. Occasionally, additional benefits, including health care, housing, or student loan repayment, are offered. Fellowships are competitive programs that can be awarded, administered, and funded by universities and colleges, corporations, nonprofits, foundations, media groups, and governmental entities.
