Η σειρά αυτή των φωτογραφιών καθρεφτίζει μία προσωπική ανάγκη για φυγή από την πραγματικότητα. Πρόσωπα οικεία ως ήρωες ενός άλλου κόσμου, πλαισιωμένα από στοιχεία της φύσης και τοποθετημένα σε γνώριμα μέρη, που άλλοτε τα προσπερνούσα φευγαλέα, αλλά πλέον επαναπροσδιορίζω τη σύνδεσή μου με αυτά. Συνολικά, πρόκειται για μία προσπάθεια προσέγγισης της Αλήθειας, της προσωπικής, αλλά και των άλλων.

This photo series is reflecting my personal needs in order to escape from the real world. Familiar faces and portraits can be reflected as heroes of another world, framed by nature elements and located within common familiar places that I used to pass fleetingly. These photos redefine my bond and connection with these places and moments as time progresses. This is an attempt to approach and redefine the truth in both personal manner and as well as in correlation to others.

Κλείσε την πόρτα όταν φύγεις ή γιατί σκότωσα τον άντρα που αγαπώ; Ένα ριτορνέλλο που με συνοδεύει, που τρυπά τα τύμπανά μου. Μια στιγμή που με άφησε άφωνη. Αυτή η συλλογή εικόνων είναι μια προσπάθεια να μεταφραστεί αυτή η απουσία λόγου, να εκφραστεί αυτό το συναίσθημα μέσα από τα πρόσωπα άλλων ανθρώπων. Σ’ αυτήν τη σειρά, η μάσκα ασυνείδητα με κυνηγά. Μάσκα που κρύβει και ταυτόχρονα αποκαλύπτει. Μάσκα που, όπως η ιστορία, συγκαλύπτει την πραγματική εμφάνιση του χρήστη, έτσι ώστε να αποκαλύπτεται καλύτερα το βάθος του καθενός μας. Η στιγμή που τραβήχτηκε κάθε φωτογραφία επανεμφανίζεται στο σκοτεινό θάλαμο. Τα συναισθήματα ανακαλούν χειρονομίες, τα χέρια μου εναρμονίζονται με το φως. Και σιγά-σιγά ξαναβρίσκω τη φωνή, καθώς εκφράζω και πάλι αυτές τις παλιότερες λέξεις, πώς μπορώ να γίνω εγώ, ο εαυτός μου, πώς μπορώ να νοιώσω τη ζάλη σου come posso diventare me stessa, come posso respirare la tua vertigine Η Fanny Penin μεγάλωσε στο Παρίσι, περιτριγυρισμένη από τις φωτογραφικές μηχανές του φωτογράφου πατέρα της. Αργότερα στράφηκε σε σπουδές εικαστικές και ιστορίας της τέχνης. 1996. Η Fanny εγκαθιστά μεγεθυντή και λεκάνες εμφάνισης φωτογραφιών σ’ ένα στούντιο στο Montreuil. Μέσα από τη δημιουργία ιστοριών με βάση αυθόρμητες φωτογραφίες πάνω σε τυχαία θέματα αρχίζει μια εικονογραφική έρευνα στο σκοτεινό θάλαμο. Το 1999 αρχίζει να συνεργάζεται με το γλύπτη Bernard Lancelle, εξερευνώντας τις δυνατότητες του φωτογράμματος και ανοίγουν μαζί μια γκαλερί/εργαστήριο στο 5ο διαμέρισμα στο Παρίσι. Η Fanny φτάνει στο Douarnenez (Βρετάνη)
το 2009, όπου εκθέτει μια σειρά αδημοσίευτων φωτογραφιών καθώς και ποιητικό έργο που μας μιλάει για τα μονοπάτια της ζωής ... 2014. Η συνάντησή της με τον φωτογράφο Maurizio Leonardi οδηγεί σε μια δημιουργική συνεργασία. Ίδρυση της LaRumeur, μιας κοινότητας φωτογράφων αναλογικής φωτογραφίας. Το 2018, η έκθεση ”As I can breathe your dizziness” συνοδεύεται από μια αυτο-έκδοση με πρόλογο από την συγγραφέα Brigitte Mouchel. Close the door when you leave, or why did I kill the man I love? A ritornello that accompanies me, piercing my eardrums. A moment that leaves me speechless. This collection of images is a quest to translate this absence of speech, to express that feeling, through the faces of other people. In this series of images, the mask unconsciously chases me. This mask that hides and reveals at the same time. Which, like the tale, disguises the real appearance of the wearer, all the better to reveal the depths in each of us. The moment each photograph was taken resurfaces in the darkroom. Feelings evoke gestures, my hands come into harmony with light. And little by little I find the voice, as I tame these former words again, as I can become me myself, as I can breathe your dizziness come posso diventare me stessa, come posso respirare la tua vertigine
Fanny Penin grew up in Paris surrounded by the cameras of her photographer father. She later turns towards history of art and visual arts' studies. 1996. Fanny installs an enlarger and developing tanks in a studio in Montreuil. Through a process of creating stories from spontaneous photographs on random themes, she devotes herself to pictorial research in the dark room. In 1999 she begins working with the sculptor Bernard Lancelle, exploring the possibilities of the photogram. They open a workshop-gallery in Paris in the 5th arr. Fanny arrives in Douarnenez (Brittany) in
2009, where she exhibits, series of unpublished photographs, poetic works that tells us about life pathways ... 2014. Her meeting with the photographer Maurizio Leonardi leads to a creative partnership. Birth of LaRumeur, collective of analog photographers. In 2018, the exhibition ”As I can breathe your dizziness” is joined by a self-publication with a preface by writer Brigitte Mouchel. (my lucid dreams) Έχω παιδιόθεν μια εμμονή με την μαγεία που αποπνέει η μεθόριος ανάμεσα στην πραγματικότητα και στην μυθοπλασία. Τίποτα δεν με συνεπαίρνει πιο πολύ όσο η συνάντησή τους. Παρασυρόμενη από την σαγηνευτική αύρα αυτής της αλλόκοσμης μεθορίου, καταδύομαι στα πιο βαθιά και αχαρτογράφητα νερά μου, ανασύροντας από τον βυθό μου τα πιο αλλόκοτα και αλλοπρόσαλλα πρόσωπα και πράγματα για να ανακαλύψω μέσα από αυτά, τι γράφει εκεί που δεν φαίνομαι.. Το τρίτο μου μάτι, το φωτογραφικό, δίνει έκφραση στο οπτικό μου ασυνείδητο και με φέρνει πιο κοντά στον άυλο εαυτό μου.

(my lucid dreams) Since early childhood I have been obsessed with the magic of the fine line between reality and fiction. Nothing can entice me more than those instances when reality and fiction become entwined. Carried away by the alluring aura of that uncanny line, I delve deep into the depths of my own uncharted waters, removing the strangest and most fickle creatures and objects, to then see through them what is written where I cannot be seen‌ My third eye, the photographic eye, is the medium that expresses my visual unconscious and which brings me closer to my own self.

Φρήντριχ Νίτσε Φαίνεται να υπάρχει μια βαθιά πνευματική πλευρά στη σύνδεση μας με τη φύση, που μας βοηθάει να αποκτήσουμε μια ισχυρότερη αίσθηση του εαυτού μας. Η αποσύνδεση από την καθημερινότητα και η ανάγκη μας να επανασυνδεθούμε με ένα περιβάλλον που να αισθανόμαστε «άνετα» μπορεί να μας οδηγήσει στο μονοπάτι επιστροφής του εσωτερικού μας σπιτιού. Κάπως έτσι λοιπόν κι εγώ απαθανάτισα την διαδρομή μου…
