I could not help myself wondering off to check out that new stunning Hermès Arceau Millefiori. An incredible feminine watch with a dial made of hand-blown glass flowers, Hermès teamed up with Cristalleries Royales de Saint-Louis, the oldest glass-maker in France, I really like the back story to this watch and as I have a bit of an obsession for pink, this watch ticks all the boxes for me. It's like food, savouring something that makes all your senses go wild with flavours and scents, which is what happened when I found a fantastic premium blue cheese, the Cambozola Black Label. Today London is the capital of gastronomy but probably no country can offer so many fantastic restaurants as Spain. It is difficult for most people to adapt to such big changes in life. How did you make it?

I can’t change the inevitable in life. No change can happen in an instant unless you are ready to make the change and for me I got a lot of pain from there and change is very easy. I knew I wanted to take a different path. I did it and writing a book is a change moment in my life. And I can look at myself honestly and once I did that I went down to a totally different path. It has been very easy for me on that level.

Upon your release, you were ordered to pay 50% of your gross income in restitution. Are you still obliged to do so?

No. A couple of weeks ago, the judge came out and ruled against the government. So the answer is no.

I’m not and you can find that release that is published in the court system. So I do not owe that debt anymore.

The judge says I don’t owe and it is official. I owe 50% for

If there is one thing you can ask, it is sales and persuasion. That is the best advice I give to anybody in the financial industry. Maintain your ethic and integrity and focus at the long term.

You modeled your career on Gordon Gekko, a fictional character. But in real life, who do you admire the most and why?

I admire Warren Buffet because of his commitment to create value, his ability to speak and relate his message and also his humanity and he does not allow himself to

How do you look at China’s economic prospect? Have you considered investing in China/ Chinese assets?

I’m a big believer in the China story. In fact I would definitely invest in Chinese assets if I have the opportunity and the right connections. And up to now I haven’t. I’m a big believer of not just what you know but

Design 007: Cinquante ans de style Bond» est le résultat d'une collaboration entre le Centre Barbican de Londres et la société EON Productions Ltd. Les hôtes ne sont autre que l’icône de la mode Bronwyn Cosgrave et la costumière Lindy Hemming qui eut l’honneur de remporter un oscar.

L'exposition a été conçue par Ab Rogers, et créer un accès sans précédent aux archives d’EON.

‘DESIGNING 007: FIFTY YEARS OF BOND STYLE’ As part of the UK-RUSSIA YEAR OF CULTURE, MAMM presented the major exhibition project of 2014 – This exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of agent 007 has arrived in RUSSIA after its major role in the 2012 LONDON OLYMPICS cultural programme and subsequent visits to almost every continent, to great acclaim in Canada, China and Australia.

JAMES BOND is the longest-running franchise in cinematographic history and importantly, it is still ongoing. The mission of superhero James Bond has lasted 50 years. He is supported by a vast industry that perpetuates the MI6’s legendary agent. Bond has also proved larger than life, soaking up the zeitgeist of the 20th and early 21st centuries like a sponge. A complicated process of mutual influences of art immitating life and life immitiating art, charged with a historical and geopolitical evolution of characters and plots. The World of 007 embodies all the most significant global happenings while at the same time resembling a factory of the symbols and of our modern age, particularly in the luxury segment.

The premiere of DR.NO, the first film featuring British secret agent James Bond, took place on 5th October 1962. The screen adaptation of

FLEMING’S

IAN

bestselling spy novel was so successful that EON Productions, the company founded by producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, signed a contract controlling all subsequent 007 films. SKYFALL, the 23rd motion picture in this cult franchise, was released in 2012.

Timed to mark the 50th anniversary of the brand, the film broke all box office records. James Bond has been interpreted by SEAN CONNERY, GEORGE LAZENBY, ROGER MOORE, TIMOTHY DALTON and PIERCE BROSNAN. Currently the role of agent 007 is played by British actor DANIEL CRAIG who first starred in Casino Royale.

Interestingly, the Bond series provides a unique opportunity to see through characters and plots how our Hero has altered since the mid-20th century, in line with geopolitical or social tendencies and technical inventions. A similar evolution can be seen in his Enemy; Bond Girls; superweapons with a capacity for global destruction; weapons used to preserve World peace; the geography of the 007’s missions from Russia to the USA, Europe to Southeast Asia, and so on.

The early James Bond films show Bond as a bespoke Savile Row suit who effortlessly disposes of agents – many of them former KGB operatives – working for the secret terrorist organisation SPECTRE, whose goal is worldwide destruction using nuclear warheads. The most recent film of the motion picture series, SKYFALL presents a weary Bond with certain misgivings who saves the life and reputation of the head of MI6, while the villain’s role is assumed by a cyber terrorist. The world has changed, and today a crime can be committed with no more than a laptop. It is possible to control the world by Internet, and data recorded on a microchip could effect the lives of thousands or destroy the intelligence system of an entire country. Although the image of the superhero’s Woman seems unchanged – she always plays her own game and may be revealed as the Enemy or his alter ego, but the role is never incidental or purely decorative.

‘DESIGNING 007: FIFTY YEARS OF BOND STYLE’ brings together every key factor in understanding the essence of Bond. From Bond vehicles including cars, helicopters, snowmobiles, motorcycles and motorboats (transposed from film to reality) and all the weapons used by Bond and his adversaries, as well as sets, props, original photographs, concept drawings, maquettes and the sumptuous costumes worn by JAMES BOND

and his female companions – inalienable attributes to images of 007 and his BOND GIRLS in contemporary mythology, they were created from production designers’ sketches by worldfamous fashion houses and have now become style classics, symbols of elegance and luxury.

Exhibition visitors embark on a thrilling journey during which they can be photographed with Bond’s first car – the famous Aston Martin DB5 and examine in detail the AgustaWestland 101 – one of two model helicopters constructed to a 1/3 scale of actual size by 3-D printing technology for

SKYFALL

(2012). They can also inspect the ice chamber and a golden room based on the set for the Fort Knox bullion depository in

GOLDFINGER (1964), the work of Sir Ken Adam, the most celebrated production designer of our times and creator of sets for seven Bond films.

Admirers of the Bond style can marvel at the weapons and diverse gadgets from Q Branch, fictional research centre of the British Secret Service, all stylised as de luxe accessories. On show are the steel-rimmed bowler hat Goldfinger’s henchman used to dispose of his enemies, a spacesuit from MOONRAKER (1979), Scaramanga’s golden gun from

THE

MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN

(1974) and the fearsome teeth of the JAWS character, who

made his debut in (1977).

‘Designing 007: Fifty Years of Bond Style’ is the result of a collaboration between London’s Barbican Centre and the company EON Productions Ltd. Guest-curated by fashion historian Bronwyn Cosgrave and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming. The exhibition was designed by Ab Rogers, with unprecedented access to the EON archive.
