Veinte bandas y siete DJ con los directos más enérgicos de Canarias, España y parte del planeta. Un escenario: la calle. El 22 de septiembre empieza la quinta edición del festival Arrecife en Vivo Estrella Galicia, una explosiva fiesta musical que itinera por el casco histórico del puerto arrecifeño.

El único concierto que dieron los islandeses FM Belfast en España, en 2016, fue en el Arrecife en Vivo.

Fuel Fandango (Lanzarote-Córdoba), Asian Dub Foundation (Reino Unido), The Whip (Mánchester) y Naive New Beaters (París) encabezan el cartel de este atípico festival que tomará las calles de la capital lanzaroteña los viernes 22 y 29 de septiembre, 6 y 13 de octubre de 2017. Música orgánica de baile, rock electrónico, fusión, pop, dub, swing, rap, ritmos mestizos… El line up es diverso pero tiene una norma: sólo acepta músicos que desplieguen juego y espectáculo sobre el escenario. Se busca música que comunique y conecte con la gente. El espacio público de la ciudad se revolucionará con algunos de los músicos que más y mejor energía han generado en festivales como Sonorama Ribera, Low o BBK Live. Por primera vez, la cita lanzaroteña cruzará el Atlántico para traer desde México al combo Jenny & The Mexicats. The Courettes volarán desde Dinamarca para exhibir su espectacular sonido garajero y la escena española estará representada por el pop artesanal del granadino Molina Molina, el ritmo salvaje de Los Bengala (guitarra y batería zaragozanos), los divertidos Rock&Fun, el swing de los barceloneses The Sick Boys y los jovencísimos Cannibals. Uno de los platos fuertes serán los músicos canarios. Los tinerfeños Brutalizzed Kids presentarán su cuarto disco el 6 de octubre en en este festival. Bejo dejará huella en Arrecife con su hipi hapa vacilanduki y los lanzaroteños Inadaptados («los Cramps canarios» los llamaron en Radio3), Metalmorfosis y Tokio Revolver completarán el talento local. Cada viernes habrá cuatro conciertos y un pasacalles con charanga que recorrerá la ciudad de escenario en escenario. La batucada Villa Pipol (Lanzarote), 101 Brass Band (Tenerife), Kolpez Blai (Euskadi) y Rockalean (Euskadi) guiarán los multitudinarios desfiles. Elyella, David Kano y We Are Not DJ y Serial Killerz lideran el line up de de DJ que cerrarán las noches lanzaroteñas, junto a los canarios Dsua Ill Man, Ulive y Kami Selektah. El año pasado 14.000 personas se reunieron en Arrecife en Vivo, elegido como Mejor Festival de Pequeño Formato de España en los Iberian Festival Awards de 2016. Este año se espera superar esa cifra, gracias a los paquetes de viaje que ha diseñado la organización y al abaratamiento del transporte interinsular.

On September 22nd, the fifth edition of the live Arrecife Festival, Estrella Galicia, starts, an explosive music festival that tours around the historic center of Arrecife Harbour.

Fuel Fandango (Lanzarote-Córdoba), Asian Dub Foundation (UK), The Whip (Manchester) and Naive New Beaters (Paris) head the line-up of this atypical Festival that will seize the streets of the Capital of Lanzarote on Friday 22nd and 29th of September, 6th and 13th of October 2017. Organic dance music, electronic rock, fusion, pop, dub, swing, rap, crossbreeding music… the line-up is diverse, but it has a rule: only musicians deploying games and entertainment on the stage will be accepted. They want music that communicates and connects with people. The public space of the city will get excited with some musicians that have generated the best energy in festivals such as Sonorama Ribera, Low or BBK live. For the first time, this appointment in Lanzarote will go beyond the Atlantic to attract the duo Jenny & The Mexicats, from Mexico. The Courettes will fly from Denmark to exhibit their spectacular garage music, and the Spanish stage will be represented by the pop of the Granada musician Molina Molina, the savage rhythm of Los Bengala (guitar and drums) from Zaragoza, the funny Rock & Fun, the Swing by The Stick Boys, from Barcelona, and the very young band, Cannibals. One of the main bands in The Canary Islands, Brutalizzed Kids, from Tenerife, will present their fourth album on October 6th, in the Festival of Lanzarote. Bejo will make a mark on Arrecife, with their hipi hapa vacilanduki, and Inadaptados, from Lanzarote, (they were called “los Cramps Canarios« in Radio 3), Metalmorfosis and Tokio Revolver will complete the local talent. Every Friday there will be four concerts and music parades with street bands that will tour the city from stage to stage. The bands Villa Pipol (Lanzarote), 101 Brass Band (Tenerife), Kolpez Blai (Euskadi) and Rockalean (Euskadi) will lead the massive parades. Elyella, David Kano and We Are Not DJ head the line up of the DJ that will round off the evenings in Lanzarote, together with the ones from The Canary Islands: Dsua Ill Man, Ulive and Kami Selektah. Last year, 14.000 people gathered in Live Arrecife, chosen as the best small scale festival in Spain in the Iberian Festival Awards 2016. This year, this figure is expected to increase, thanks to the package holidays designed by the organization and to the cheaper inter-island transport.

Viajes surfeando: Canarias, el norte de la Península, Cadiz, Portugal, Francia, Sudáfrica, Maldivas y Mentawaii. León Agurruza es una de las jóvenes promesas del surf de Fuerteventura. Nacido y criado en esta isla que tantas olas nos regala, se deslizó por primera vez en un bodyboard a los 2 años, con un empujón de su padre, y a los 4 se pilló su primera ola en una tabla de surf. Desde ese momento regresa al mar una y otra vez, a deslizarse, volar o entubarse en las olas. ¿Cual es tu ola favorita? Donde paso más tiempo, y una de mis preferidas, es la Derecha del Hierro. Y cuando se pone grande y bonito me gusta llevar el pincho al Tarugo en Punta Elena, el año pasado hubo dos días míticos. Según el día y el mar puede haber olas increíbles en cualquier lado de la isla, pero algunas de mis olas preferidas prefiero no nombrarlas para seguir surfeándolas solo en compañía de mis amigos. ¿Cómo definirías tu surf? Lo estoy desarrollando y mejorando día a día pero me gustaría acabar con un estilo potente y fluido. ¿Has competido? El año pasado hice un segundo y dos terceros en el Circuito Canario sub-14. Este año he quedado tercero en la Copa de Canarias y quinto en un Campeonato del Circuito Español. El año que viene quiero empezar a hacer los pro juniors a nivel europeo sub-18 y campeonatos canarios en categoría open. ¿Quiénes son tus ídolos, o en quién te fijas para seguir evolucionando en el agua? Canarios e internacionales Me encantan Andy Irons, John John Florence, Ethan Ewing y Griffin Colapinto. En Canarias me molan mucho Jonathan González, que para mi gusto es uno de los mejores surfistas europeos, y Lazi, que siempre me motiva en el agua a coger las olas más grandes y meterme más profundo en los tubos.

¿Entrenas para mejorar? Cada vez que entro al agua entreno y me ayuda mucho escuchar los buenos consejos que me puedan dar surfistas más experimentados. ¿Qué más cosas te motivan a parte del surfing? El skate, la guitarra, hacer mis propias tablas, la fotografía, hacer y editar vídeos, viajar. ¿Con lo joven que eres ya te haces tus tablas? Solo he hecho tres, dos single fin y un twin, pero es un gustazo surfear con ellas. ¿De dónde te vienen tus pasiones? Supongo que de mi padre que dejó de estudiar para dedicarse al windsurf profesionalmente y de mis dos abuelos, grandes amantes del mar. Además, mi madre es una increíble fotógrafa y mi tía una estupenda pintora, me imagino que de ahí me viene el gusto por todo lo que tiene que ver con la fotografía, el vídeo o la pintura. ¿Dónde te ves, o cómo te ves, dentro de 5 años? Igual que ahora, ¡surfeando todo el rato! Me gustaría surfear compitiendo alrededor del mundo y ver hasta dónde puedo llegar. ¿Fuerteventura te lo ha dado todo? Fuerteventura me ha dado muy buenas olas, me ha dado a mis amigos y me siento muy a gusto en casa. ¿Qué piensas de cómo está evolucionando a nivel turístico y a nivel surf Fuerteventura? Yo sé que la isla vive del turismo y eso no me parece mal. Creo que a nivel de surf, por ejemplo, hay demasiadas escuelas para turistas principiantes y muy pocas para gente de aquí y con más nivel, además cada vez hay más chavales que surfean bien y no tienen un sitio para mejorar su surfing. Y luego, pues no entiendo muy bien que se renueve la calle principal de Corralejo una y otra vez y que no tengamos un skatepark en Lajares. ¿Un sueño? Olas como Pipeline o Teahupoo son un sueño para mí. Gracias León por compartir con nosotros tu vida y tus sueños, sueños que seguro alcanzarás muy pronto.

Surfing trips: The Canary Islands, The North of the Peninsula, Cádiz, Portugal, France, South Africa, The Maldives and Mentawai. León Agurruza is one of the young up-and-coming surfers of Fuerteventura. Born and brought up in this island which offers us so many waves, he first used a body board when he was two, pushed by his father, and when he was four he caught his first wave on a surf board. From this very moment he went back to the sea very often to slide, fly or catch tubes. What is your favourite wave? Where I spend the most time and one of my favourite is the right of El Hierro, and when it is huge and beautiful I like to take the gun to Tarugo, in Punta Elena. Last year there were two mythic

days. Depending on the day and the sea conditions there may be incredible waves at any part of the island, but I prefer not to mention some of my favourite ones to keep surfing them alone or with my friends. How would you define your surf? I’m developing and improving day to day, but I’d like to end up having a powerful and fluent style. Have you taken part in competitions? Last year I got two second positions and two third ones at the under-14 Canary Islands circuit. This year I have got the third position in the Canary Islands Cup, and the fifth position in the Spanish Circuit Championship . Next year I intend to take part in the under-18 pro juniors at a European level, and in Canary Islands championships in the Open Category. Who are your idols, or the ones you watch to keep evolving in the water? From the Canary Islands and at an international level. I love Andy Irons, John Florence, Ethan Ewing and Griffin Colapinto. In The Canary Islands I really like Jonathan González,

who I consider one of the best European surfers, and Lazi, who always encourages me in the water to catch huge waves and go deeper in the tubes. Do you train to improve? Every time I get into the water I train and it helps me a lot to listen to the good advice I can get from the most experienced surfers. What else motivates you, apart from surfing? Skating, the guitar, making my own boards, photography, making and editing videos, travelling. Being so young, do you make your own boards? I have only made three, two single fins and a twin, but it’s a real pleasure to surf on them. Where do your passions stem? I suppose that from my father, who dropped out his studies to devote professionally to windsurf, and from my two grandparents, great lovers of the sea. Moreover, my mother is an incredible photographer and my aunt, an extraordinary painter. I suppose that hence my passion for photography, video or painting.

Where do you see yourself or how, in five years time? Just like today, surfing all the time! I’d like to surf and competing all over the world and see where I can get to. Has Fuerteventura given you everything? Fuerteventura has given me great waves, my friends and I feel very well at home. What do you think about how Fuerteventura is evolving regarding tourism and surf? I know the island lives on tourism, and I can’t see anything wrong with it. Regarding surf, for example, there are too many schools for beginner tourists, and very few for more experienced local surfers. Moreover, there are more and more kids who surf very well and have nowhere to improve their surfing. On the other hand, I can’t understand why the main street in Corralejo has to be under construction again and again, when we don’t have a skate park in Lajares. One dream of yours? Waves like Pipeline or Teahupoo are a dream to me.

Fuerteventura contará con seis nuevos puntos de recarga para coches eléctricos La instalación de estos 6 puntos de recarga eléctrica comenzará a partir del mes de septiembre y así se posibilitará los desplazamientos con vehículos eléctricos a lo largo de todo el territorio majorero. Estos nuevos puntos estarán ubicados en Puerto del Rosario, Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste, Gran Tarajal, Costa Calma y Morro Jable. Con esto el Cabildo de Fuerteventura quiere impulsar la movilidad eléctrica concienciado de la necesidad de controlar el exceso de emisiones de CO2 para así preservar la biodiversidad que existe en la isla.

Se inician las labores de mejora de las instalaciones del Centro de Interpretación del poblado de la Atalayita El objetivo de estas obras es mejorar la imagen del espacio museístico, situado en Pozo Negro, de cara a su próxima reapertura. Se trata de uno de los yacimientos más importantes de Fuerteventura, por su gran valor arqueológico y su buen estado de conservación, que pretende divulgar, entre turistas y residentes, el modo de vida de los aborígenes que poblaron antaño estas islas.

Fuerteventura y Lanzarote lideran el fracaso escolar en las islas Dos de cada diez alumnos no consiguen acabar la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria.

Fuerteventura y Lanzarote, con un 17,94% y un 16,54%, son las islas canarias con un mayor índice de fracaso escolar en Educación Secundaria Obligatoria, según datos hechos públicos por la Consejería de Educación y Universidades del Gobierno regional, referentes al curso 2014-15. El fracaso en la Secundaria postobligatoria, en cambio, se incrementa significativamente en casi todas las islas. En este caso, Fuerteventura es la isla mejor parada (16,74%) frente a las peor paradas, Lanzarote (27,85%), Tenerife (26,89%) y La Gomera (24,81%).

El 25% de los turistas que eligen Fuerteventura se decanta por el todo incluido Según datos del Instituto Canario de Estadística (ISTAC) correspondientes al segundo trimestre de 2017, el 24,9% de turistas que pasan sus vacaciones en Fuerteventura se decanta por la modalidad de alojamiento en régimen de todo incluido. Fuerteventura ocuparía el tercer puesto en el ranking de Canarias referente a este tipo de modelo alojativo, por detrás de Tenerife (31,6%) y Gran Canaria (25,3%); Lanzarote ocuparía el cuarto puesto con un 20,3%; frente a La Palma con solo el 1,2% de turistas que optan por esta modalidad

Un nuevo rodaje en Fuerteventura: ‘The Kill Team’ Fuerteventura acogerá en septiembre parte del rodaje de una producción, con sello de Hollywood, “The kill team”. Se trata de historia bélica, basada en hechos reales, ocurrida en Afganistàn y que será protagonizada por Alexander Skarsgård y Nat Wolff.

Primera edición de la Race Betagua Trail El Ayuntamiento de Betancuria y el Ayuntamiento de Antigua organizan la I Race Betagua Trail que se celebrará el 9 de septiembre. El itinerario comienza con salida desde Antigua, a las 10:00 horas. Se proponen dos modalidades: Senderismo, a partir de los 12 años de edad, y Trail, desde los 16 año, en un recorrido de 9 kilómetros de distancia que termina en Vega de Río Palmas.

wORKS TO imPROvE THE iNSTALLATiONS OF THE CENTRE OF iNTERPRETATiON OF ATALAyiTA START

The installation of these six charging points will start next September, and this will make it easier driving with electric cars around Fuerteventura island. These new points will be located in Puerto del Rosario, Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste, Gran Tarajal, Costa Calma and Morro Jable. By doing this, Fuerteventura wants to boost electric mobility, making people aware of the need to control the excess of CO2, thus preserving the biodiversity existing in the island.

The aim of these works is to improve the image of the museum space, located in Pozo Negro, considering its next reopening. We’re talking about one of the most important archaeological sites in Fuerteventura due to its archaeological value and its excellent preservation, which tries to spread, among tourists and residents, the way of life of the natives that lived in these islands long ago.

FUERTEvENTURA ANd LANZAROTE HEAd SCHOOL FAiLURE iN THE iSLANdS

The Town hall of Betancuria and that of Antigua organize the first Betagua Trail Race, which will be celebrated on September 9th. The trail starts in Antigua, at 10 am. Two different modalities are proposed: trekking from age 12, and trail, from age 16, in a 9 km tour, ending in Vega de Rio Palmas.

Two out of ten students don’t succeed in finishing Compulsory Secondary Education. Nos encontramos con Alain Hernández (Barcelona 1975) protagonista de Solo, la nueva cinta de Hugo Stuven que narra la experiencia de supervivencia que vivió el madrileño Álvaro Vizcaíno Albertos, cuando cayó por un acantilado de la costa oeste de Fuerteventura y logró salir con vida pero con el cuerpo maltrecho y rescatado 48 horas después. Quedamos en el hotel donde se encuentra todo el equipo de rodaje al completo. Nos recibe el mismo Álvaro con un talante tranquilo y apacible que te hace preguntarte si no es consecuencia de aquella aterradora experiencia cercana a la muerte que vivió hace dos años. Sus ojos transmiten la paz que, como él mismo cuenta, encontró en un momento dado aquel fatídico día sumergido bajo el gran oleaje. Un momento decisivo en que su mente decidió despedirse de la vida, agradecido, y que quién sabe si fue .12

lo que finalmente le salvó, «qué paradoja». La quietud de un instante que hizo que su cuerpo se librara de la tensión de los huesos rotos y el alma partida y surgiera de entre las aguas exhalando no sólo el aire sino la vida. Álvaro decidió ir a surfear a esa zona un día cualquiera como cualesquiera son los días en la isla. Estando sobre la pared sus pies perdieron el suelo que desapareció como una trampa hacia el acantilado. En cuestión de segundos quedó colgado de las rocas con la única fuerza de sus brazos hasta que no pudo más y decidió dejarse caer en el momento en que una ola cubrió los fondos volcánicos de esa parte de la costa. Ni con ese colchón de agua la profundidad fue suficiente y se rompió la pelvis, la cadera y el brazo. El dolor de sus huesos rotos le provocaron convulsiones y desmayos bajo el mar. Su historia contada de boca en boca en esta pequeña isla ya nos hacía soltar a muchos un «es de película». Y así

será. En una cena con amigos en la que se encontraba Stuven narró su vivencia y el director quedo impresionado y prendado, por el poderío, por el hombre, por la fuerza, por la vida. Una llamada, una conversación a dos, una reunión con un guionista y un año después, con la productora Miramar Media Entertainment a la cabeza, aquí se encuentra todo un equipo de profesionales del cine dispuestos a contar una historia real pero increíble. «Lo increíble es que hayamos tardado tan poco en poner en marcha la película» nos cuenta Álvaro que ni por asomo pensó en que su vida, un pedazo al menos, se viera alguna vez en la gran pantalla. Él lo ve como pura casualidad, de nuevo «esa gran paradoja que resulta la vida». Alain Hernández llega unos minutos más tarde para no interrumpir la narración de su personaje. El color de su rostro y su vestimenta nos transmiten que los pocos días que lleva en la isla ya le han dado para hacer sus pinitos en el surf

como una preparación para su papel. «Estoy haciendo iniciación al surf, escalada y buceo en tiempo récord. La preparación física es importante no sólo porque las tres disciplinas se dan de alguna manera en la historia, sino porque mentalmente te pone en situación. Ya estoy preparado por si me llama Jesús Calleja para una de sus aventuras», bromea Hernández. Alain Hernández (Mar de plástico, Palmeras en la Nieve), que este año estrenó Plan de Fuga con Luis Tosar y tiene por estrenar Que baje Dios y lo vea con Karra Elejalde, está en uno de los mejores momentos de su carrera como actor, que como él mismo ha calificado en otras ocasiones «es un hobby que se me fue de las manos». Un hobby que lleva metódica y disciplinadamente en cada aspecto que interviene en la introspectiva de su personaje, algo visible en su entrenamiento sobre una tabla de surf, «imprescindible para manejarse en el agua, aprender a remar y darle así el mayor realismo posible, aunque contamos con dobles para ciertas escenas de la película», nos comenta. La intensidad de la isla no le ha pasado por alto tampoco a Alain, que asegura que «tiene una energía que atrapa, no sé si por lo salvaje pero el tiempo parece pasar de otra manera, llevo dos semanas y media y parece que lleve un año». Y es que el tiempo en la isla te engatusa, al igual que esos «maravillosos rincones, desde las playas preciosas y enormes, pasando por las dunas que parecen de otro planeta, hasta carreteras que parecen sacadas de Afganistán y que me consta que pronto serán escenario de otro rodaje», nos revela. Alain es cercano y sonriente y se siente agradecido por este papel que dice «ser un regalo». Es la primera vez que se encuentra ante un personaje basado en una historia real y además como casi único actor de la película. «Cuando

leí el guión lo primero que sentí fue una gran responsabilidad, al tener que encarnar a una persona real, es la primera vez que lo iba a experimentar y me produce mucho respeto». Se aprecia en sus miradas esa complicidad que existe ya entre actor y personaje. «Álvaro ha sido y está siendo clave para crear el personaje, no quiero imitar porque no deja de ser ficción, pero hay muchos momentos de la película que sí sucedieron como se cuentan y trasladamos lo que le pasó, lo que pensó, lo que sintió. Por lo que conocerle y compartirlo con él es básico para preparar el papel.»

A ambos les esperan 5 semanas de rodaje por delante, que contará también con figuración local, lo cual «siempre será interesante y atractivo para la gente de Fuerteventura», tal y como asegura Hernández. Aunque no depende de él, apuesta por la celebración de un pase especial aquí y sobre todo espera que «guste la historia y cómo se ve y se trata la isla en la película». Aún tendremos que esperar para ver el resultado final, que no tiene fecha de estreno, mientras tanto nos quedamos con la historia, con la experiencia y con la maravillosa paradoja que es la vida.

We have met Alain Hernández (Barcelona 1975) , the star of Solo, the new film by Hugo Stuven, narrating the experience lived by Álvaro Vizcaíno Albertos, from Madrid, when he fell off a cliff in the Western coast of Fuerteventura and he managed to survive, though with a battered body when rescued 48 later. We met at the hotel, where the whole film crew was. We were received by Álvaro himself, with a peaceful and quiet mood that makes you wonder if this won’t be the consequence of that terrible near-death experience that he lived two years ago. His eyes transmit the peace, as he himself says, found at one point that fatal day, submerged under the waves. A crucial moment when his mind decided to say good-bye to life, thankful, and who knows if this is what really saved him, «what a paradox!». The stillness of a moment that made his body get rid of the tension of his broken bones and soul and emerge from the water, breathing out not just air but also life. Álvaro decided to go surfing to that area that one day, like any other day in the island. Being on «La Pared» his feet missed the ground, which disappeared like a trap towards the cliff. In a matter of seconds he was hanging on the rocks with the only strength of his arms holding him until he couldn’t stand it longer and he decided to let himself fall the moment the wave covered the volcanic soil of that part of the coast. Not even that mattress of water was deep enough and he broke his pelvis, his hip and his arm. The pain of his broken legs caused him seizures and fainting fits under the sea. His story, transmitted by word of mouth in this little island, already made us exclaim «it’s a film story». And so will it be. In a dinner with friends where Stuven was, he narrated his experience, and the film director was flabbergasted and captivated by his vitality, this man, his strength, his life. A phone call, a one to one conversation, a meeting with a scriptwriter and one year later with the producer, Miramar Media Entertainment leading; here is a whole team of cinema professionals ready to tell a real but incredible story. «What is incredible is that we have taken such short time to set in motion this film», Álvaro states, who could never think that his life, or at least a piece of it, could ever be seen in the big screen. He thinks it has been pure chance, again, «that great paradox that life turns out to be». Alain Hernández arrived some minutes later, not to interrupt the narration of his character. The colour of his face and his clothes let us know that the few days the has been on the island have been enough to start out in surf as a rehearsal for his role. «I am starting out in surf, climbing and diving at record-breaking speed. Physical training is important not just because the three sports have been moments in history, but because they prepare you mentally. Now I am ready for Jesús Calleja to call me and take part in one of his adventures», Hernández kids. The intensity of the island hasn’t gone unnoticed to Alain either, who states: «it has an energy that traps you, I don’t know if it is its wilderness, but time seems to pass by in another way: I’ve been here two and a half weeks and it looks like a whole year». And this is because the time in the island charms you, just like those «wonderful nooks, precious and huge beaches, passing through the dunes, which seem to belong to another planet, and the roads, which seem to be taken from Afghanistan, and which I’m sure that soon will take part in another shooting», he reveals. Alain is close and smiling, and he feels thankful for the role that he considers «to be a present». It’s the first time he finds himself playing the role of a character based on real facts, and also as almost the only actor of the film. «When I read the script, the first feeling I had was big responsibility, having to embody a real person, it was the first time I was going to experience this and this made me feel a great respect». You can notice in his looks that complicity existing between actor and character. «Álvaro has been and is being key to create this character. I don’t want to imitate because still this is fiction, but there are many moments in the film that really happened as they are depicted and we just transfer what happened to him, what he thought and felt. So, getting to know him and sharing this with him is essential to prepare the role».

Five weeks of shooting await both of them, and there will also be local people working, which «will always be interesting and attractive for the people in Fuerteventura», literally said by Hernández. Although it doesn’t depend on him, he is for the celebration of a special film screening here, and most of all he hopes «people like the story and how the island is depicted and showed in the film». We’ll have to wait to see the final outcome, which doesn’t have a release date. Meanwhile, we have the story, the experience and the marvellous paradox of life.

Un evento que se desarrollará durante el sábado 9 de Septiembre a partir de las 12:00h en el Centro de Arte - Casa Mané. Un evento donde lo importante en éste día es la diversidad de encuentros en un entorno creativo, donde la cultura y el arte cobran vida para dinamizar a los asistentes. El evento estará vinculado con la tercera entrega del Fabric Fest organizado por La Fábirca de La Isleta en Gran Canaria. Festival que por primera vez unirá talentos por el resto de las islas, siendo el Centro de Arte - Casa Mané el destino elegido en la isla de Fuerteventura. Será una jornada cargada de creatividad en la que se podrá disfrutar de conciertos en directo y jam sessions mientras se degusta la gastronomía de nuestra tierra. MANÉSTIVAL is the first festival on the island of Fuerteventura in which all the artistic disciplines are fused so that new sinergies are created among artists linked to the Canary Islands. This event will take place on Saturday 9th September from 12 pm at the Arts Centre- Casa Mané. The importance of this event resides in the variety of meetings that will take place in a creative environment and where culture and art come to life and enliven the participants. This event is linked to the third Fabric Fest, organized by La Fábrica de la Isleta, in Gran Canaria. This festival will gather together talents from all over the islands for the very first time, being Casa Mané the chosen location in the island of Fuerteventura. It will be a day loaded with creativity, live concerts and jam sessions among with some samples of local cuisine. Artists like Javier Infante, Alexis Lemes, Jose Alberto Medina, Renato D’Aiello, Erroll Woiski, Vocal Sound and Torsten de Winkel will be in charge of the event’s musical touch. La increíble historia de Eva empezó en el mar; literalmente, porque nació allí. La encontraron enredada en algas, toda cubierta de maderas y conchas rotas. Se lo contó Adolfina, que fue quien la encontró. No tenía escamas, ni branquias, ni aletas, así que en Villamar decidieron que se trataba de un bebé de papa dres irresponsables. Llegó a la orilla en invierno y el frío del agua la acompañó muchos años, casi hasta el día de su muerte y Eva, que nada entendía del mundo, siempre creyó que el frío era simplemente soledad. Durante décadas, por pura vergüenza, fue escondiendo todos los síntomas que indicaban que su pueblo no era de tierra. Así pasó la adolescencia, tapando los pliegues de la piel, de los que iban brotando, en los momentos más inoportunos, pequeños corales blancos y estrellitas de mar, como si alguien hubiera cultivado la piel y carne de Eva con recuerdos muy profundos. Le nacían también sin previo aviso gaviotas y avutardas, rastros viejos de acantilados y sal seca, que se acumuacumu laba orgullosa como largos lagos secos en su espalda, en el cuello y en los muslos. Pronto el cuerpo estuvo cubierto de esa fina red que tiñe de blanco las olas, surcado de líneas duras y blancas, siempre listas para arrancarle el músculo en tirabuzones. Por eso, entre los doce y los diecisiete años Eva cubrió cada poro con potingues que Adolfina inventaba: cilantro para matar la sal, limón para espantar los mosquitos, agua dulce y aceite para bo borrar las marcas de la marea.

Pero lo que Adolfina nunca pudo cambiar fue el imán, el terrible imán del pecho, el magnetismo duro que apretaba armando bulla, solo en calma con la luna menguante, desgarro en luna llena. Un dolor tan fuerte que partía sin sangre, un naufragio interno sin retorno. - Son las heridas del alma, niña, no puedes tenerles miedo. Pero Eva no creía en el alma; solo conocía el golpe seco, la enredadera de agua naciendo y muriendo, lanzándose contra las costillas para recogerse limpia y clara de nue nuevo. Con los años el vaivén la lanzaba fuera de la casa, le asomaba azul por las mañanas en los ojos, se escondía dorado en la pupila en las tardes. Poco a poco, Adolfina la vio apre apretarse de arrugas, dura y blanda, anciana y joven. Le recortaba la fuerza heridas entre los corales; rompía dura en torbellinos in internos que no dejaban de ir y de venir, con un músculo propio preparado para nacer y matarse. Así fue como empezó a respirarse. Porque la increíble historia de Eva nació y acabó en el mar, con un amasijo de brazos y piernas, golpe de pulmones, giro de espuma, una nueva sangre azul tirando y soltando dentro y fuera. No le sorprendió a Adolfina, que todo entendía de este mundo, cuando al abrir la puerta de la casa la derribó la enorme ola. - Allá vas Eva, llena de corales. Nos vemos en la orilla.
