Meet the Playwright
currently working on commission for Gulfshore Playhouse. Suzanne has received grants from NYFA, the Berrilla Kerr Foundation, and the Anna Sosenko Trust, as well as the BMI Foundation’s Harrington Award. She has (twice) been a winner of the NEXT ACT! New Play Summit at Capital Rep, won the Dayton Playhouse FutureFest, and was an Honorable Mention for the Jane Chambers Award and a twotime finalist for the Heideman Award. Monologues from many of Suzanne’s plays have been published by Smith & Kraus, who have also published her plays Bethlehem, PA, Sometimes Romeo is Sad, Okoboji, and Full Bloom. Full Bloom is also published by Playscripts. Selected productions: Full Bloom (Barrington Stage, Hudson Stage, Bloomington Playwrights Project, Main Street Theater, etc.); Shakespeare in Vegas (Playwrights Theater of New Jersey/Dreamcatcher Rep); Bethlehem, PA (City Theatre of Miami); Okoboji (Stageworks/ Hudson, FAB/The Barrow Group); and Lone Star Grace (Six Figures Theatre Company, Theater Workshop of Nantucket). Suzanne was a contributing writer on Speakeasy (with Rajiv Joseph, Theresa Rebeck et al), which enjoyed a sold out run at Joe’s Pub; and is the librettist for the musicals Cocus and Doot (commissioned and produced by Vital Theatre Company) and Max and the Truffle Pig (NYMF).

SuzanNe Bradbeer (Playwright) is a 2014-2015 featured writer at the Lark Play Development Center. Confederates is nominated for the L. Arnold Weissberger Award and was recently included in the LAByrinth Theatre Company’s 2014 Summer Intensive; Confederates was also presented by the Lark in their Studio Retreat Program, fall 2014. The House That Jack Built (finalist for the Stanley Drama Award) will be workshopped through PlayPenn, November 2014. Naked Influence was a winner of Capital Rep’s NEXT ACT! New Play Festival. The God Game (a winner of the Ashland New Plays Festival), was produced in early 2014 in a co-world premiere between Capital Rep and Gulfshore Playhouse, had productions in the fall of 2014 at Hudson Stage and Stark Naked Theatre Company. The God Game CYNTHIA BECKERT (Lisa) is newly relocated to Orlando from LA, where she was a member of the critically acclaimed all-female Los Angeles Women’s Shakespeare Company, and performed with numerous local and regional theatres up and down the West Coast. Previous to her stint in LA , Orlando audiences may remember Cynthia from Theatre Downtown productions of The Triumph of Love (directed by Mad Cow’s Mark Edward Smith) and The Flies. Cynthia is currently performing in Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s new nighttime spectacular Rivers of Light and can be seen this holiday season in Universal Studios Grinchmas. She is honored to join the Herd to theatrically address the most challenging topics of our modern life: religion, sex, and politics.
from Pennsylvania, Brian has lived in Seattle, New York City, and Los Angeles. Brian thanks Mitzi, Mad Cow, and his beautiful wife Michelle. LISA BUCK (Properties Master) Set designs include The Road to Mecca, Mrs. Warren’s Profession, and Painting Churches (Mad Cow Theatre), Don Pasquale, Abduction from the Seraglio, and Carmina Burana with Cirque du Soleil dancers (Orlando Opera), and Madama Butterfly, II Barbiere di Siviglia, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Tosca, and The Magic Flute (Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra). Scenic charge credits include The Magic Flute (designed by Cary Wong), Later Life (directed by Martin Charnin), Sunday in the Park with George, Enchanted April, and My Name is Asher Lev. Lisa studied painting at Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, and Cobalt Studios in White Lake, NY. She has won numerous awards for her painting and has written how-to-paint articles for North Light Publications.
BRIAN BRIGHTMAN (Tom) is excited to be in his eighth production at Mad Cow and his fourth in this space. Most recently Brian was in My Name is Asher Lev and Dinner with Friends. Along with theatre, Brian can be seen in the Netflix series Bloodline, Burn Notice, Army Wives, and the feature film Walt Before Mickey. Almost one year ago exactly, Brian had the amazing opportunity of seeing Hamlet in London starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Originally
ERIC HAUGEN (Lighting Designer) Based in Winter Garden, Eric owns an entertainment lighting design firm, Luminous Design Studios. In this capacity, he has designed the lighting for numerous theatrical, television, and themed entertainment projects over the past 25 years. Recent projects include being part of the team that lit five new broadcast studios for China Central Television in Beijing, China; several new shows for the Univision television network; the Revenge of the

AUBREY HESS (Costume Designer) is a costume designer from Philadelphia. She received a BFA in costume design and technology from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. In Central Florida, her professional credits include work at Orlando Repertory Theatre, Cornerstone Theater Company, and Athens Theatre in DeLand. This is her third season with Mad Cow.
KATIE RINALDI (Stage Manager) This is Katie’s first season with Mad Cow and she is beyond thrilled to be joining the herd! An Orlando native, Katie has been on the stage since before she was born (literally) and discovered at an early age that her passion lies in managing the stage rather than being on it. She has a BFA from UCF in stage management and has spent the last eight years in Tampa at Busch Gardens as a stage manager. In addition to stage managing, Katie is a highly skilled equestrian and a trained ninja. Katie is overjoyed to be back in the beautiful city of Orlando and can’t wait to see what opportunities the future holds!
T. ROBERT PIGOTT (Matt) grew up on Maui and went to Yale before becoming a professional actor. Early work includes a European tour of West Side Story, the German and Las Vegas productions of Starlight Express, and an Off-Broadway flop you’ve never heard of called Identical Twins from Baltimore. Recent local credits include freeFall Theatre’s Into the Woods, Our Town, and Mr. Burns; Orlando Shakespeare Theatre’s Comedy of Errors, Into the Woods, Opus, The Big Bang,
TONY SIMOTES (Director) is so happy to return to Mad Cow after his directorial debut last season with Painting Churches. Tony is the former artistic director and president of Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Mass., a professional company he helped found in 1978. Tony is also an actor, director, and a master teacher of fight and movement. Director at

He also helped develop the critically acclaimed Satchmo at the Waldorf by Terry Teachout and produced the play with the Long Wharf Theater in a successful Off-Broadway run. Recent directing credits elsewhere include The Three Musketeers for Connecticut Repertory Theatre and The Merchant of Venice at U. Mass. Amherst. His resume as a fight choreographer is extensive, from the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, to the New York Shakespeare Festival’s Public Theater and Orlando Shakespeare Theater. He’s a member of the National Theatre Conference, AEA, SDC, AFTRA, and SAG. He sends thanks to Mitzi for the opportunity and love to his gal Lucy.
Awakening (The Purchase Performing Arts Center); served as production designer for acclaimed independent feature Bear with Us (featuring Cheyenne Jackson and Alice Ripley); and consulted on a variety of NYCbased projects. Currently, he spends his days working in several entertainment venues at The Walt Disney World Resort. He is delighted to make his debut with Mad Cow Theatre during their 20th season! He sends all the love and gratitude to his family.
