LEGACY OF LIGHT Heather Lea Charles (Emilie du Châtelet) is thrilled to return to the pasture! She has previously been seen here as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Martha in The Constant Wife and Marta in Company. A graduate of The Boston Conservatory and member of Actors’ Equity Association, Heather has performed all over the country. Regional favorites include Christine in Phantom at The Springer Opera House (GA), and the Ghost of Christmas Past in the NTC national tour of A Christmas Carol. Local credits include The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods at Orlando Shakespeare Theater, Woman 2 in I Love You, You’re Perfect Now Change at Winter Park Playhouse and various Disney venues including Main Street Acting Company and the Citizens of Hollywood, Hoop Dee Doo Revue (Flora) and Perfectly Princess Tea Party. Steven Lane (Voltaire) is delighted to tread the boards again at Mad Cow, where he was last seen as C.S. Lewis in Freud’s Last Session and before that as Morris in The Heiress and Geoffrey in The Lion in Winter. Outside of Mad Cow he’s played a wide range of roles including Che in Evita, Cornelius in Hello Dolly, Sky in Guys and Dolls, Danny in Grease, Lumiere in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, El Gallo in The Fantasticks, Sir Evelyn in Anything Goes, Motel in Fiddler on the Roof and Michael in I Do, I Do. During the day he can be seen swinging various swords at Walt Disney World. He has a degree in Vocal Performance from Stetson University and is a grateful member of Actors’ Equity Association. Becky Eck (Olivia/Wet Nurse) is new to the herd and could not be more thrilled to be making her Mad Cow debut! Originally from Arkansas, she graduated with a BA in Theatre from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Becky toured nationally with the Eckerd Theatre Company based out of Clearwater, FL for four years. Orlando credits include: Noises Off, Moonlight and Magnolias (Jester Theater Company) Charlotte’s Web, A Christmas Story, The Giver, Anne Frank and Me, Tomato Plant Girl (Orlando Repertory Theatre). Becky is also a member of PB&J Theatre Factory and performed in their productions of SPORT, SNACK, SLEIGH, and SPLASH. She sends her love and thanks to her family and friends for making her life wonderful! Stephen Lima (Peter/Monsieur du Châtelet) is honored and excited to be returning for his 8th production with the herd. Originally from Toronto Canada, Stephen is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC and was a member of their prestigious showcase Company. Recent credits include Kaufmann in Bach at Leipzig with Empty Spaces Theatre Company and El-Fayoumy in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot with Riverton Playground / Empty Spaces Theatre Co. Mad Cow credits include Tony Lumpkin in She Stoops to Conquer, Bill Walker in Major Barbara, Segismundo in Life is a Dream, Moss in Glengarry Glen Ross and Aston in The Caretaker. Stephen would like to thank this wonderful cast & crew for all their hard work and his wife Betsy for all her love and support. Lexi Langs (Millie/Pauline) is thrilled to be returning to Mad Cow Theatre. Previous professional credits: Frankie Addams in The Member of the Wedding (River City Repertory Theatre, LA and Barksdale Theatre, VA), Becky in Circle of Friends (American Girl Place Theatre, NYC), Dot in Oz (Orlando Shakespeare Theater), Amaryllis in The Music Man (Mad Cow Theatre with the Orlando Philharmonic), Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker and Evelyne in the regional premiere of Kathie Lee Gifford’s musical Under the Bridge (Orlando Repertory Theatre). Other roles: Annie (Annie), Mary Lennox (The Secret Garden), Brigitta (The Sound of Music), Jojo (Seussical). Lexi will be pursuing her BFA in Acting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (Atlantic Theatre Company Studio) in the fall. To her family: Love you every day! Garrett Jurss (Lewis/Saint Lambert) is ecstatic to be making his Mad Cow debut! Garrett graduated from UCF a year ago with a BA in Theatre. He was last seen onstage in Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens at the 2009 Orlando Fringe Festival, which won Patron’s Pick. Favorite past roles include: Lumiere in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Smee in Peter Pan, Tiny Tom/Dr. Billeaux in Urinetown, the Musical and Ken Gorman in Rumors. Garrett would like to thank his parents and Sean 6 for their continued support in all of his endeavors.
LEGACY OF LIGHT CONTINUED Denise Gillman (Director) – pull from Euridyce Jamie Lyn Woods (Stage Manager) is working with Mad Cow Theatre for the first time and she is very excited to have the opportunity. Jamie Lyn began her theater career onstage, but over the years was lured to the darkness of backstage crew. You may have seen Jamie Lyn around the stages of Playwright’s Round Table (Director: 7 Sonnets, Stage Manager: John Goring Memorial One Act Festival), Jester Theater Company (Stage Manager, Greater Tuna), or Greater Orlando Actor’s Theater (Stage Manager A Street Car Named Desire, Assistant Stage Manager: AIDA). She would like to thank her family, boyfriend, and friends for their constant support and she hopes you enjoy the show! Allison Sokol (Assistant to the Director) is beyond thankful to Mitzi Maxwell and the Mad Cow team for allowing her to work on such an “amazingly amazing” production! She has been truly inspired by the talent and hard work in Legacy of Light. Allison is entering her second year at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in the Experimental Theatre Wing where she will continue to explore the nuances of making weird noises and rolling around on the floor. In her spare time she enjoys making even weirder noises and talking in the third person. Thanks to Susan for the free room and board (what a great mom!). William Elliott (Scenic Designer) has designed scenery and/or lighting for over 200 productions during his career and many of them in the Central Florida area. They include the operas Hansel and Gretel and La Rondine at Stetson’s School of Music. Electra, Sweeney Todd, Sabrina Fair, Curious Savage, Taming of the Shrew, The Nerd, West Side Story, Dames at Sea and Road to Mecca at the Orlando Civic Theatres. His credits with Mad Cow Theatre include Fool for Love, Blithe Spirit, Desdemona, Burn This, The Glass Menagerie, The Cherry Orchard, Crimes of the Heart, The Odd Couple, The Laramie Project, Ghosts (scenery and Lighting),The Life of Galileo, and Rashomon. He has also designed for television, corporate productions and theme parks. Mr. Elliott teaches stage design, lighting design and production at Stetson University. Erin Miner (Lighting Designer) Legacy of Light marks Erin’s 55th show with Mad Cow Theatre. She is excited to be working with Denise. When not at Mad Cow, she can be found in the fields of Apopka High School as a drama teacher. Grayson Tate (Costume Design) is joining Mad Cow for her fifth production. Grayson graduated from Auburn University with her Bachelors in Science in Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Production Management. She is Costume Shop Manager at the Orlando REP. KURT WAGNER (Sound Design) has designed many Mad Cow productions over the years including Superior Donuts, Topdog/Underdog, The Lion In Winter, The Matchmaker, I Am My Own Wife, Amadeus, Eurydice, Sweeney Todd, Assassins, I Have Before Me A Remarkable Document Given To Me By A Young Lady From Rwanda, The Rainmaker, Talley’s Folly, The Heidi Chronicles, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Seagull, and Kid-Simple. Kurt has been honored with two EMMY nominations and four International Monitor Awards nominations, one of which he won. Kurt currently is teaching as a specialist in the film degree program at Full Sail University. Kurt wishes to thank Mad Cow for providing a welcoming and creative atmosphere for artists and designers to practice their craft through engaging and provocative productions for our community to enjoy. THE UNDERSTUDY Brian Brightman (Jake) is glad to be back with Mad Cow, this his second production. Originally from PA he has lived in Seattle, Los Angeles and NYC and has enjoyed immensely keeping the IRS guessing. Brian would love to thank Mitzi and Tim for rolling the dice with a bald movie star! And lastly, Brian wishes to thank BOB and his amazing wife and daughter for their love. Michele Feren (Roxanne) is excited for the opportunity to play Roxanne! It’s been a while since she’s been to the pasture, where she was last seen in Carol Churchill’s Far Away in 2004. Since then she’s appeared on The Glades, Burn Notice and in the film Sex Drive. She’s appeared on stage with PB & J Theater Factory twice now in Sleigh and Sshhh!, and another favorite was The Well of Horniness at the Orlando Fringe Festival. She’s currently filming My Fair Lidy, a locally produced feature film. She’ll be performing her first, original one woman show at the Orlando Comedy Festival October 1st! Josh Geoghagan (Harry) is pleased to be back at Mad Cow and get the chance to work with this amazing cast. Most recently, Josh has written the script for the Orlando Fringe Festival super mega hit Dog Powered Robot and the History of the Future. Other favorite shows/roles around town include: Katurian in The Pillowman, Georg Lenck in Bach At Leipzig and, Beane in Love Song, right here in Stage Right. John Hemphill (Lighting Designer) is proud to continue working with one of the foremost theatres in the Orlando area. John has served in many roles here at Mad Cow including Stage Manager, Lighting Designer and Carpenter. Favorite productions with the herd include She Loves Me, Life Is A Dream, Gone Missing and Molly Sweeney. Away from the pasture, John serves as Lighting/Fountain Designer and Technical Director for SeaWorld.

Theresa Rebeck (playwright) is a widely produced playwright both in the United States and abroad. Past New York productions of her work include Mauritius at the Biltmore Theatre in a Manhattan Theater Club Production; The Scene, The Water’s Edge, Loose Knit, The Family of Mann, and Spike Heels at Second Stage; Bad Dates, The Butterfly Collection, and Our House at Playwrights
THE UNDERSTUDY CONTINUED Horizons; View of the Dome at New York Theatre Workshop; and The Understudy at the Roundabout. Omnium Gatherum (co-written, finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 2003) was featured at the Humana Festival, and had a commercial run at the Variety Arts Theatre. She has won the National Theatre Conference Award, The William Inge New Voices Playwriting Award, an IRNE Award for Best New Play, and the Elliot Norton Award for various works. She has published two novels through Shaye Areheart/Random House and has taught writing at Brandeis University and Columbia University. Timothy Williams (Director) received a BA in Theater Arts from the University of Central Florida Conservatory Theatre, and has performed and directed in community, regional and academic theater for twenty‐five years. He was a Resident Actor and Associate Artist at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater for four years and performed in fifteen main stage productions including Othello, Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra, Measure For Measure, Private Lives, and Arms and the Man. Directing credits include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Winnie the Pooh, as well as The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and an upcoming production of Anything Goes for Lakeland Community Theater, and the workshop of David Lee’s Kafka’s Shorts at the Harriet Lake Festival of New Plays. Mad Cow audiences may remember Timothy from his recent roles as Assistant Director of The Heiress, and as a performer in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf.
