Mad Cow Theatre Mad Cow Theatre now in our 22nd season, is downtown Orlando’s destination for professional theatre. MCT was founded on the belief that the theatre is a dynamic and powerful means of social understanding, as well as a hugely entertaining art form. Through the combination of passionate, skillful acting and compelling, insightful writing, nurtured by an attentive and ever-changing process, Mad Cow presents entertaining works of theatre to an ever-widening audience — promoting, enhancing, and celebrating the human condition through art. Book by Enda Walsh Music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglová Based on the motion picture written and directed by John Carney Enda Walsh is an acclaimed playwright, screenwriter and director. His recent work includes the play Arlington and the opera The Second Violinist, which premiered at the Galway International Arts Festival in 2016 and 2017, respectively. He also worked on the musical Lazarus with David Bowie, which opened at New York Theatre Workshop in 2015. His work has been translated into many languages and has been performed internationally since 1996. In 2014 he received an honorary doctorate from Galway University. Walsh is currently adapting and directing Max Porter’s Grief is the Thing with Feathers for Complicite. Glen Hansard is an awardwinning musician. Films: The Commitments and Once. Albums: Didn’t He Ramble, Rhythm and Repose, Strict Joy, the soundtrack of Once (Academy Award for best original song “Falling Slowly,” Olivier Award for outstanding musical contribution), The Swell Season, The Cost, Burn the Maps, Set List, For the Birds, Dance the Devil, Fitzcarraldo and Another Love Song. Glen is touring the world supporting his latest solo album release Between Two Shores.

Marketa Irglová is an Academy Award-winning musician and actor born in the Czech Republic. Films: Once and Milluji te Modre. Albums: Muna, Anar, The Swell Season, the soundtrack of Once (Academy Award for best original song “Falling Slowly,” Olivier Award for outstanding musical contribution), Strict Joy. Markéta is writing songs for her third solo album, alongside various other musical projects for stage and screen. John Carney is a Dublin-based writer-director who came to the world’s attention following the musical feature film Once, which won multiple Independent Spirit, Sundance and Raindance awards. Previously John was a bassist in the Irish rock band the Frames, where he met Glen Hansard. These musical roots continue to be evident in John’s work with his latest production, Can a Song Save Your Life?. Other projects include Dogs of Babel, starring Steve Carrell, and a feature adaptation of M.R. James’s Casting the Runes.

Once JOSH ELEAZER (Guy) has been acting, singing, and playing professionally since 2002. This is his second production at Mad Cow after having appeared in its 2007 production of Sweeny Todd. He also teaches music and drama at Park Maitland School. Josh has toured the U.S. and Canada with the Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons tribute show Let’s Hang On! But his best job is as husband to Brandy and dad to Will, 9. Josh is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

ZACH BRIGGS (Emcee) has been acting and playing professional guitar and mandolin forever. Notable guitar performances: House of Blues Orlando, Big River at St Luke’s United Methodist Church, and the Florida Music Festival. Zach plays guitar and bagpipe for the comedy band Tartantrum and guitar and harmonica for the folk duo White Star Line. He also records, scores, and produces music. Most often he can be found at the Orlando theme parks as an actor and puppeteer. DWAYNE BROADNAX (Costume Designer) attended the Duke Ellington School for the Arts in Washington, DC. He holds a BS degree in apparel management and worked for several years in the apparel industry. His second love, next to performing, is textiles. Noteworthy costume experience: Purlie Victorious, Spunk, … And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little Dwayne is excited and thankful to be a part of this production.

AMY HADLEY (Lighting Designer) works with many theaters throughout Central Florida and serves as staff lighting designer for Beth Marshall Presents. She is excited to be returning for her eighth production with Mad Cow, where she was part of the creative team for Top Girls, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Buyer & Cellar, Bad Jews, Silent Sky, The Big Meal, 1776, Pygmalion and Fences. Amy also serves as technical director for Orlando Fringe.

LISA BUCK (Properties Master) Set designs include The Road to Mecca, Mrs. Warren’s Profession, and Painting Churches (Mad Cow Theatre), Don Pasquale, Abduction from the Seraglio, and Carmina Burana (Orlando Opera), Madama Butterfly, II Barbiere di Siviglia, Tosca, and The Magic Flute (Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra) and The Tender Land (UCF). Lisa studied painting at Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, and Cobalt Studios. She has won numerous awards for her painting and has written how-to-paint articles for North Light Publications.

AURORA MOON (Ivonka) is excited to make her debut at Mad Cow. She has performed at the Dr. Phillips Center and the Sublime Elms and helped to organize Conscious Kids Camp at the Zen Awakening Festival. Aurora also modeled at the International Vegan Fashion Show. She has a passion for spreading love and kindness for all beings.

MATT HOROHOE (Stage Manager) has appeared in Mad Cow’s productions of The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, Sunday in the Park with George, Death of a Salesman, Clybourne Park, and Animal Crackers. He was the stage manager for The Mystery of Edwin Drood and rehearsal stage manager for The Big Meal. Trained at Montclair State University, he is a member of Actors’ Equity and the proud father of two teenagers.

CAT PATTERSON (Ex-Girlfriend) is performing at Mad Cow for the first time. Selected credits: Baggage Handler, The Signature Project, New York; Bank Manager, Once, Oregon Cabaret Theatre, Ashland, Ore.; Cindy Lou, The Marvelous Wonderettes, Little Town Players, Bedford, Va.; Martha, Spring Awakening, Three of Cups Theatre Collective, Brooklyn, NY. She has a BA in acting/directing and international affairs from Baldwin Wallace University and a certificate from the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin.

Rebekah Lane (Movement Specialist) Rebekah is a director and theatre maker. She earned her MFA in theatre arts at Towson University. Rebekah’s original performances can be seen regularly in Orlando’s festivals: Art in Odd Places and Creative City Project. She teaches movement for the actor at Valencia and Seminole State Colleges, and will teach dance improvisation at Rollins College this fall.

SEAN POWELL (Bank Manager) spent last summer at Palm Beach Dramaworks in Woody Guthrie’s American Song. Favorite roles include Johnny Cash in Ring of Fire; Emmett in Legally Blonde; Britt Craig in Parade; Not Dead Fred, Herbert, and others in Spamalot; Motel in Fiddler on the Roof; and Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. Sean is pursuing his MFA in actor musicianship at Rose Bruford College in London and holds a BFA in musical theatre from Missouri State University.

CHRIS METZ (Andrej) is thrilled to return to Mad Cow after appearing in Animal Crackers. Credits include Peter and the Starcatcher and Peter Pan (freeFall Theatre), Pluto (Orlando Shakespeare Theater), and shows at Orlando Repertory Theatre and Universal Orlando. As a musician, he has opened for such bands as Goo Goo Dolls and Young The Giant. TV: Impractical Jokers. BFA in acting from the University of Central Florida and

Once Adam Reilly (Eamon) is grateful to appear in his ninth production at Mad Cow Theater, having previously played in Bad Jews (Liam), Silent Sky (Peter Shaw), Three Sisters (Tuzenbach), Long Day’s Journey into Night (Edmund), The History Boys (Crowther) as well as Hamlet (Laertes) at Orlando Shakes. An Orlando native, he graduated from Dr. Phillips High School in 2008 then studied acting at Carnegie Mellon University. He has also appeared in the Showtime Documentary Thespians as well as on the stage at Los Angeles Philharmonic as Stravinsky in a theatrical adaptation of The Firebird. Much gratitude to his family, this amazing theatre, its patrons, and Salvatore.

ARTHUR ROWAN (Da) played Captain Walker in The Who’s Tommy at Mad Cow. Other credits include Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Titusville Playhouse), Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Rude Mechanicals), and King Arthur in the national tour of Spamalot. Arthur performs and directs at Renaissance Faires across the country and narrates audiobooks. As always, thanks to his wife, muse, and person, Kelly.

Susi Rivera (Baruska) was seen in Mad Cow Theatre’s productions as Mrs. Lipari (A View From The Bridge), Duende 2 (Amor de Perlimplín con Belisa en su jardín), Doctora Roda (Prohibido suicidarse en primavera), Angustias (La casa de Bernarda Alba), and Criada (Bodas de sangre). She played Eurycleia in the Valencia College’s production The Penelopiad. Susi holds a degree in theatre from Boston University. Her credits include short film and television roles, and fable adaptation to stage. “This Once is for you Mike Schneider! Your friendship has always guided me into sweet journeys!”

His voice experience runs the gamut from voice-overs, looping, and ADR to dialect and text coaching for such theaters as the Stratford Festival of Canada and the American Conservatory Theater. At ACT he served as the head of voice and speech training while coaching numerous productions. His local coaching includes shows for Orlando Shakes, Mad Cow, The Florida Studio Theatre and the Playwrights Round Table.
