igital Nomads Madeira Island is a project developed by the Regional Government of Madeira, through Startup Madeira. Professionals from major companies and digital nomads from all over the world have set Madeira as their home for periods between 1 and 6 months, living as locals in the communities around the island. After almost a year in lockdown, coming to Madeira has been a safe bet. Probably my best decision in the last year! The community in Ponta do Sol is very dynamic and I’ve stablished meaningful connections with other nomads. People are warm, welcoming and supportive of each other’s projects. The amazing natural landscapes of the island just makes the whole experience magical. The only really hard thing here? Deciding to leave.

I came to Madeira for 2-3 weeks but after my first days here I decided that I wanted to stay longer, so I booked my accommodation until the end of June. My experience here it has been amazing so far, I feel like I am always surrounded by beautiful landscapes, great culture and warm locals, good energy and a wonderful and supportive community that makes every day magic and unique.

Being part of the Digital Nomads Madeira Islands’ Community offers everything one could wish for to have a great work-life balance, live close to nature, make new friends and professional connections regularly, engage in dozens of activities and be productive at work - all at the same time. Thanks to the high-speed internet that is available in most places of the island, nothing stops you from being productive at work from almost any place of your choice. Also - the beautiful nature, the ocean, mountains, and the sunny weather all year long, all this has a permanently recharging effect, boosting my motivation and efficiency at work. While in a “regular office life” we work for months longing for the time called “vacation” - where we can have a short experience of joy, the Digital Nomads experience gives you that joy every day, without having to take a break from your work duties.
