ince making her debut in the Berlin marathon in 2005, Anne Kayser has added Luxembourg, London, New York and the six-day Mara thon du Sable to her achievements. Running comes naturally, it seems. “My parents always do crazy, crazy competitions. If you’re not a runner in our family, you are something of an outcast,” she says. Anne enjoys running the Luxembourg marathon with her family. “I fully support events like this. But I also find it a bit sad that not enough people here do the full marathon.” Indeed, she says that although support is great in the city centre, once the field splits and the full marathon runners hit the suburbs they can feel lonely. On the other hand, she tends to be more energetic in the evening so the night marathon format suits her perfectly. Q

epuis sa première course à Berlin en 2005, Anne Kayser a participé aux marathons de Luxembourg, Londres, New York et même aux mythiques six jours du Marathon des Sables. Cet été, elle participera au Swiss Alpine Marathon Davos. Elle court comme elle respire. « Mes parents font toujours des courses complètement folles. Dans notre famille, ne pas courir est presque une tare ! » Anne aime courir le marathon de Luxembourg avec sa famille, mais elle trouve que le parcours est le plus difficile qu’elle ait jamais couru. « Je soutiens totalement ce genre de manifestations. Mais je trouve dommage que si peu de gens courent le marathon complet. » En effet, si les supporters sont nombreux au centre-ville, quand les vrais marathoniens arrivent en banlieue, ils se sentent un peu seuls. Quant à elle, elle est généralement plus dynamique le soir. Les courses nocturnes lui conviennent donc parfaitement. Q
