Welcome to our 5th annual MEI Hosts and International Federations Summit. How fantastic that we can all meet again in person. No one can accuse MEI of lacking ambition. We return as a hybrid event in 3 separate venues, with multiple streams in each venue, and with a significant online presence! We won’t get everything right, so please bear with us- we will be trying our very best to give you an exceptional content and networking experience. The DNA of this year’s summit is to provide an environment to nurture the symbiotic relationship between major sports rights holders and the cities that host them. And then introducing best in class suppliers who help deliver them into the mix. Our objective is to create an environment that prioritises networking, but still delivers great insight and content. More About Iventis Iventis was established in 2015 by CEO & Founder, Joe Cusdin, following 10 years of working in major events. Joe worked as part of the GIS and Mapping team at the London 2012 Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG). No matter how good your script is (and how many years of experience and expertise have gone into drafting it), or how good your team is, at any point, you are likely to be confronted with unforeseen circumstances, setbacks or events beyond your control. Premium event structures supplier Losberger De Boer demonstrated just that, when continuously changing Covid-restrictions made life very difficult for all the professionals working hard to host the Barcelona ATP Tennis Tournament. Or when high-end hospitality buildings of unprecedented size had to be built within a very short timeframe at the 24 hours races at Le Mans.
Barcelona Open Banco 2021 ATP Tennis Tournament It’s safe to say that the road leading up to the 2021 edition of the Barcelona Open ATP Tournament, was a bumpy one. Event planning, ticket sales and construction were severely impacted by continuously changing Covid-19 restrictions, and the constant

Maria Rosa Cruells, General Director of the Real Club de Tennis Barcelona, was responsible for the event’s infrastructure on site. “During this pandemic year Losberger De Boer have continuously adapted to all the changes we requested, so that the tournament could be held with the maximum amount of security and preventive measures, as the authorities demanded”, she says. “Throughout the project, they have given us excellent advice and guidance, and in the end, they were even able to deliver an exclusive VIP club within the current restrictive regulations. They have been excellent.”
24h Le Mans, 2019 British car brand Aston Martin utilized a threestory hospitality accommodation by Losberger De Boer and iEvent to make their presence known at the famous 24H Le Mans. With so many big brands in one location, it's not easy to stand out. Aston Martin succeeded. The challenge: Deliver an eye-catching hospitality building in a crowded area, in a short amount of time In order to give Aston Martin the exposure that matches the brand's stature, an eye-catching, three-story hospitality accommodation was built, the company’s first ever triple-decker at Le Mans. The building was tailor-made, fully

branded and included a cinema space and additional terraces at both the entrance and race trackside. The real challenge for Losberger De Boer was making sure everything could be built within a very short time, especially since the company had to build numerous large buildings at the 2019 Le Mans terrain. "Our build sites were spread out over an immense area, where a lot of work had to be done by an enormous amount of suppliers and sub-contractors”, says Francis Scholten, Managing Director Rental Division at Losberger De Boer. “Moreover, everything had to be done within a few days." Within eight days, approximately 9 trucks full of material were handled and assembled in order to cause as little disruption as possible to the surrounding build sites. The 2019 24h Le Mans was not the first collaboration between iEvents and Losberger De Boer, and for good reason. “iEvent creates unique moments during major events”, says Lewis Ledouit, Communication Manager at iEvent. “To do this, we need to work with trusted partners, that are able to bring our creative ideas to life. Case Study In the last quarter of 2019, our client, CSM Sport & Entertainment (CSM) began planning for the Major League Baseball London Series 2020. For an event scheduled to host 120,000 spectators over two days, the risks were significant. Ensuring that appropriate and comprehensive cancellation insurance in place was important. After a review of alternative insurance programme structures, Miller successfully placed cover for CSM eight months before the event was scheduled.

With this being a major event, CSM was closely tracking the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak from late January, and as the months passed, the wider global impact became apparent. A few months on, there was no option but to cancel the event. Advice and support from Miller was key during this challenging time.
