As we approach the final quarter of the year, many of us will be tracking down our respective progress, especially in terms of business. It is not an exception at Malindo Air. In the third quarter, we focused on expanding our regional network, recruitment and talent management strategies. I believe it is currently one of the most important responsibility of any leader in an industry. If you surround yourself with great people, all else will fall in place. Having said that, I am pleased at the milestones that the company has reached most recently with the commitment of the Malindo family and industrial experts. Over a short span of two months we have taken delivery of new aircraft, inked interline partnership with two internationally renowned premium airlines, and extended our wings to four Asian countries ; Medan of Indonesia, Hanoi of Vietnam, Taipei of Taiwan, and finally this month to Chiang Mai, Bangkok. Due to overwhelming demand and with the up-coming year-end holidays, we are also increasing our flight frequencies to Kathmandu, Nepal to 10x weekly, Kochi, India to 11 x weekly and Trivandrum, India to 4x weekly, beginning this month. While planning on your holiday destination with your family, it is good to know of Malindo Air’s facilities for children on board our flight. Our cover story this month

highlights infant, toddler and child’s safety features as well as privileges while flying with us. This is to ensure a comfortable flying experience for both, the minor and parents. Our Wanderlust segments highlight two of our brand new destinations, Taipei and Chiang Mai. While Taipei is an ideal destination for all, it has also been commercialised for Muslim tourists whereby one can stay in Muslim friendly hotels and eat at halal (permissible) certified restaurants in the city. As for Chiang Mai, it will mark its inaugural flight on 30th October. This mountainous old city still retains vestiges of walls and moats from its history as a cultural and religious center. It is also home to hundreds of tranquil Buddhist temples. With this, I would like to wish a very Happy Diwali to all celebrating Indians. May this festival of lights illuminate your well-being simultaneously and create more flying opportunities for you and your loved ones during the festivities. To my team, who will be on duty during this holidays, I sincerely appreciate your continuous commitment towards the company. Till next month, have a pleasant journey and happy reading!

Malindo Air Launches KL-MEDAN Daily Service

Malindo Air’s inaugural flight took off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Kualanamu International Airport, Medan (KNU), Indonesia on August 29 in line with the airline’s international network expansion plan, bringing its route network to 41 destinations in 14 countries, to date. Malindo Air flight OD 322 departs every day from KLIA at 8.15 pm and arrives at Kualanamu International Airport at 8.15 pm local time. There is a time difference of one hour between Kuala Lumpur and Medan. 4 | MALINDOMAG

Whereas, the flight will depart Medan at 7.10 am and arrive at KLIA at 9.10 am local time. This new service will have much to offer in stimulating business and trade growth between Malaysia and Indonesia. Medan is a very popular holiday destination with the famous Lake Toba, being an attraction to most Malaysian travelers. Passengers’ load is quite promising on this sector and Malindo Air is expecting good demand for this route. The airline is glad to offer passengers another travelling

option and convenience by bridging the gap between Kuala Lumpur and Medan. The tourism traffic between both countries is expected to grow with the commencement of Malindo Air’s new services. Herein, Malindo Air will also be able to contribute to the Government's aspiration of turning KLIA into a preferred transit and tourism hub in the region. The narrow-body Boeing 737800ER aircraft with a seat capacity of 162, with 12 Business Class and 150 Economy Class seats, will be used for this route.

INSIDER’s PR & Events

Expanding in Asia Malindo Air expanded its connectivity to Vietnam and Taiwan last month with commencement of flights to Hanoi on September 1 and to Taipei on September 10. This expansion is in line with the airline’s international network plan, bringing its route network to 41 destinations in 14 countries. With the launch of daily services from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, the airline marks its entrance into the second city in Vietnam after Ho Chi Minh City. Malindo Air flight OD 571 departs daily from KLIA at 9.15 am and arrives at Noi Bai International Airport at 11.25 am local time. Hanoi is one hour behind Kuala Lumpur. The return flight will depart Hanoi at 12.15 pm and arrive at KLIA at 4.35 pm. As for Taiwan, this will be Malindo Air’s first venture to the country. OD 632 departs every day from KLIA at 7.15am and arrives at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport at 11.45am. The return flight OD 633 will depart from Taipei at 12.45pm and arrive at KLIA at 5.30pm. Both the destinations are expectedly popular for tourism and business ventures, especially in

view of the encouraging passenger load since its inception. Malindo Air foresees an overwhelming demand for these sectors. Tourism is one of the fastestgrowing economic contributors to the country’s Gross Domestic Product. In 2014, there were about 286,000 Vietnamese tourist arrivals to Malaysia for business and leisure and last year the arrival growth was registered at 6.7 percent. As for Taipei, the new daily service

will continue opening Malaysia up to the world, making it easier for passengers to travel not just to Malaysia but also beyond, via Malindo Air to Indonesia, Singapore, the Indian sub-continent and Australia. Vietnam’s and Taiwan’s market has a huge potential among Asian countries, and Malindo Air’s foray into these cities will certainly contribute towards achieving Malaysia’s target of getting 36 million international visitors by 2020. The airline will work closely with Tourism Malaysia and the travel agents to design promotional and shopping packages, to coincide with Malaysia’s Year End Sale happening in December. The plan is also in tandem with Tourism Malaysia’s strategy of boosting arrivals from Vietnam and Taiwan through health tourism, MICE tourism and increased air travel options. The Tourism Ministry is targeting a total of 30.5 million tourists arrivals this year, which would translate into a total tourism income of RM103 billion. With the expansion of its network, Malindo Air is now aspiring to be renowned for its aviation excellence and onboard hospitality.

raveling with children in a flight can be a fun adventure given that the rightful preparations are done prior to the trip to ensure a pleasant flying experience for the whole family. Many young parents anticipate quality time with their little ones especially during school holidays or festivities. However, the thought of flying may sound a little challenging to some. Almost all airlines provide facilities to ease parents when travelling with infants and toddlers. Malindo Air provides exceptional priviliges for these passengers to find the fun back into flying. The airline defines an infant as any child under two years of age. Healthy newborn babies may travel after nine days of delivery without medical clearance. Passengers between two and 12 years of age will be considered as children and need to have their own seat.

COVER STORY

Infant and Child Facilities In order to make your journe y comfortabl e and pl easant, it is

10 | MALINDOMAG

best to pre-plan and consider several aspects before the journe y. Parents with infants are advise to request for a bassinet when booking a ticket. The bassinets are located on Row 1 of Business Class and Row 4 of Economy Class in Boeing 737 aircraft. You are also permitted to use a Child Restraint System (CRS) for infants inside the aircraft, provided an additional seat has been booked for the infant. If a seat has not been purchased, the infant will be secured to the adult’s lap using an infant seat belt that is attached to the adult’s seat belt during takeoff, landing and when the fasten seat belt sign is illuminated and recommended at all times while seated. Malindo Air also provides a diaper-ch anging tabl e in lavatories on all flights except

on ATR aircraft service. Our cabin crew will guide you to the lavatory equipped with this facility.

Infant and Child Safety Procedures Malindo Air practices detailed procedures and has highly trained cabin crew that are specific to the evacuation of infants and children. The responsible person (parent or guardian) should be made aware to remove the infant or child from the CRS for the evacuation process and to always leave the CRS behind. In a planned emergency evacuation, the responsible person should hug their infant to them so that they can evacuate down the slide together. When boarding an escape device (e.g. slide, slide raft, ramp slide) with infants, jumping together onto the

COVER STORY

escape device, produces faster way out than sitting and sliding. Another safety feature is to place small children near the window seat as children enjoy reaching out and exploring. If they are on the aisle, there maybe chances of accidental bumps by other passangers or serving carts. Ideally, two responsible adults should sit on either side of the child. Also, one can seat the child on a row with a window on one side and the adult on the other. If masks deploy, the parents should put the mask on first. The practical reason for it is, if the brain is starved of oxygen (hypoxia), one can get confused and be unable to help their child. By putting on their mask first, the parent or responsible adult will reduce their chance of falling victim to hypoxia. In Malindo Air, every aisle has four oxygen mask to a three seater in a row. So there will always be extra oxygen mask for children seated with parent. As for baby prams they will have

to be handed over to the airline staff, before boarding the aircraft cabin due to cabin storage space limitation. They will be carefully stowed in the cargo hold upon check-in for both the safety and convenience of your family and other passengers. However, umbrella-type baby strollers are allowed onboard and will be stored in the Business Class coat closet with the assistance of cabin crew.

Unaccompanied Minors and Young Passengers Travelling Alone Malindo Air also provides services for passengers aged between two and sixteen who are entitled to additional amenities and privileges. Children in this age group usuall y should be accompanied by an adult in the flight but if they are travelling alone under any circumstances, then rest assured that they will be in safe hands. Passengers within this age

group who are travelling alone, are categorised into two; Unaccompanied Minors (UM) for children travelling alone between the ages of 5 to 12 years and Young Passenger Travelling Alone (YPTA). Independent young travelers aged between 13 and 16 years traveling with our airline are considered as YPTA. Our ground staff will be alerted of UM and YPTA present for flights and take them under their care from the check-in process until the boarding gate where they will be handed over to the cabin crew. Upon reaching, the child will be accompanied by our staff through immigration processes and baggage collection, before being handed over to the appointed guardian. Malindo Air takes extra precaution to ensure that your child will be with welltrained staffs hence experiencing a smooth journey.

Infant and Child Benefits The airline also practices priority boarding for families with young children in tow. Families with children are invited to board the aircraft first. This allows ampl e time for parents to stow awa y their lugga ge and ensure their children are settl ed in their seats comfortabl y before other passengers come in. Flight fares also varies for infants and children. Malindo Air onl y charges 10 percent from adult fare for infants. As for toddlers aged two till 11, the airline charges 85 percent from adult fare on international routes. As a travel tip, parents or guardians are advise to bring along some preferred toys, favourite snacks, books, childfriendl y headphones or other enternaining distraction in efforts to keep them occupied till reaching their destination. On the whole, parents will not have to worry when travelling with young ones on Malindo Air as we provide all the facilities needed in having a comfortable journey. MALINDOMAG | 11

IN-FLIGHT TRAVEL INSURANCE

H

olidays are not just about checking a new country off the list. They are about experiencing a new culture. As this typically includes tucking into the local cuisine and wine, staying fit and trim while on holiday is a challenge. A good exercise routine is all about… routine. A holiday is not routine. You do not have access to your usual gym; you might not know a safe running route; your meals are being prepared for you and your sleep patterns are affected by different time zones. Staying healthy and trim on holidays can be a chore, and who needs chores on a vacation? We’ve put together some top tips to help smart travellers enjoy the wining and dining without putting on the kilos.

Pack your running shoes Even if you are not a runner, taking a walk and stretching your legs is the best exercise for burning calories. After all, exploration is what travel is all about.

Have red days and green days Mentally mark each day as red or green. On a green day enjoy the food on offer without feeling guilty. On a red day choose only the really healthy options on the menu.

Pack your swimming costume You cannot use the pool without one, and if you are not staying in a resort, you never know when you will find a beach, or a beautiful lake, with shimmering clear blue waters to swim in. Have fun and splash around, but try to get some proper swimming in too.

Take some healthy snacks When you are out and about, it’s so easy to grab snacks from a convenier store or café, but the healthy choices may be unavailable or sold out. Include a trip to a convenience store to pack some dried fruits and nuts. Enjoy your meals and experience the local cuisine, but reduce eating between meals.

Turn your room into a gym If your itinerary is packed for sightseeing, the only time you have to exercise may be late at night. Spread a towel or a sarong on the floor for a good stretch. If you have a pilate band, use it to keep your muscles toned. And turn those mineral water bottles into weights to shape up your arms!

A little of everything is good for you Another approach is to eat smaller portions. For example, have two courses instead of three; ditch the dessert altogether; eat an appetiser instead of a main meal. Restaurant food tastes great, but the main ingredients that make it taste that way are fat and salt. If you were cooking the same meal at home it would probably be healthier.

Try something new Travelling to new places gives you the opportunity to have new experiences and that is the same for sports. Whether it’s mountain walking, rock climbing, horse riding or snorkelling, find a reputable company to help you try something new in a safe environment. Ditch the taxi Why use a car or public transport when you can walk, and see life at your leisure? Of course, do check out the safety aspects before you setoff. Stay active Try dividing your days into two halves. Each morning get up and get out. Choose an activity to get the blood pumping. Talk a long walk; take the children to the beach and, rather than sitting in the sun, organise some races; hire some bikes; climb the tallest building in the city. Then when you get back to your hotel after lunch you can relax and enjoy a good book without feeling guilty.

destination that offers an interesting mix of cultural and historical treasures along with abundance of natural beauty, Taipei of Taiwan is fast becoming a serious contender in the battle of being East Asia’s top holiday destinations. If your idea of a great getaway includes a selfie in front of one of the world’s tallest building, trying out delicious local cuisine, spending a night in a historical building and hiking in a scenic volcanic landscape, then Taipei is the place for you. The city has long been a popular choice amongst tourists within the region. Recently, efforts have also been introduced to ensure tourism products in Taipei are Muslimfriendly which enables Muslim visitors to equally enjoy the Fun Taipei experience promoted by the local tourism authorities. After spending four short days in Taipei, you will get a glimpse of the Fun Taipei experience with an interesting twist, combining the must-sees of Taipei with the Muslimfriendly hotels and restaurants in the city.

Taipei 101, Discovery Centre of Taipei & Taipei Grand Mosque The first landmark that would attract the attention of a first-time visitor would be the Taipei 101 building. This 509.2 metres tall skyscraper is the icon of Taipei and makes a good background for any “I am in Taipei” kind of photos. Not too far away is the City Hall building which houses the Discovery Centre of Taipei. This is the right place to appreciate the history and background of Taiwan, including the diversity of Taipei city. The exhibits are mainly interactive which allows visitor to virtually travel across the city and through time in discovering the city in detail. After touring the city centre, a good stop would be the Taipei Grand Mosque. Being the largest mosque in Taiwan, this mosque is the centre of Muslim community in the country. The warm hospitality common among Taiwanese can also be seen at the mosque as visitors are always welcomed to perform their prayers and meet up with the locals. The mosque also serves an important role in advising the various initiatives taken in making restaurants, hotels and service providers to be Muslimfriendly. One restaurant that had benefited from this is Kanna Khazana. Located in the City Centre, this restaurant not only has a nice backdrop of Taipei 101 but also serves tasty halal authentic Indian cuisines at a reasonable price. MALINDOMAG | 19

Ximending Shopping District & Chang’s Beef Noodle Ximending is not only a shopping haven, it is also one of the city’s culture centres, home to a massive variety of fashion clothing shops, wide-ranging restaurants and kiosks that sells interesting stuff. Known to some as “Hara juku of Taipei”, this place is a perfect spot for peoplewatching while enjoying a cup of Taipei’s famous bubble milk tea. One would not leave Taipei without trying out the famous Taiwanese beef noodle. After all, this is a city that has an annual festival of its own devoted to the dish. The good news for Muslim visitors is that there is a halal version of the famous beef noodles. One of the restaurants selling it is Chang’s Beef Noodle Shop which offers a delicious bowl of homemade noodle with tender and juicy beef in a clear broth soup. Chang’s Beef Noodle

Yangmingshan National Park & Beitou Hot Springs Just 45 minutes away from the city, Yangmingshan National Park provides a contrast environment to the city’s modern settings with its scenic grassland hiking trails and beautiful flowers especially during the cherry blossom season. A popular area within this national park is Qingtiangang known for its wide, grassy meadows and occasional strolling buffaloes which make a perfect setting for substantial travel photos. Another interesting side of Yangmingshan National Park is Xiaoyoukeng which is well-known for its fumaroles, sulfur crystals, hot springs and unique terrain formed by postvolcanic activities. The intense smell of sulfur along with the geothermal heat and seeing bubbling puddles by the side of the footpath are part of the experience of visiting Xiaoyoukeng. Not to be missed is a visit to Beitou District. A countryside resort town in the mountains with obvious traditional Japanese influence, Beitou is famous for its hot springs, bath houses, public parks and a beautiful public library. For Muslim travellers visiting these areas, Atami Hotel is a great place to stay or stop for lunch. The hotel not only 20 | MALINDOMAG

It is a generous portion of shaved ice topped with fresh mango, mango syrup, condensed milk, and mango sorbet. Beitou Hot Springs

Whether you are a backpacker or someone who enjoys luxury travel, Taipei has something for everyone. Together with its unique culture and amazing attractions,

the status of being Muslim-friendly is something that will definitely widen Taipei’s attractiveness as a top holiday destination.

Muslim-Friendly Hotels Just like Atami Hotel, Muslimfriendly hotels are picking up around Taipei. Hotels like Taipei Nandong City Suites and The Grand Hotel are providing delightful halal local cuisine and dedicated dining area for its Muslim guests. Additional facilities such as prayer mats, the Holy Quran and Qiblah direction are also provided upon requests by guests. While it may be seen as just a place to sleep after a long day of touring the city, staying in a classy hotel can at times be an experience by itself. This is where The Grand Hotel fits in nicely. WANDERLUST CHIANG MAI

T

he ancient city of Chiang Mai is a travel guide favourite, mainl y because of its’ spectacular mountains, vibrant hill tribes and a tranquil vibe when one visits this part of Th ailand.

Situated in the northern part of the country, it oozes culture and history with its pretty moat, ench anting fortresses and ancient pagodas. The natural wonders in Chiang Mai creates a ch aracter that is unique to a region once known as the Kingdom of a Million Rice Fields, or “Lanna” in Th ai language. Tourists can opt to stay among the old town lanes th at offers an exceptional taste of provincial Th ailand, with centuries-old templ es, bustling street markets and cozy coffee shops at every corner. There are many activities to experience such as adventure trips to mountain national parks and waterfalls, trekking, el eph ant riding, famil y attractions like the zoo and more. One of its other main attractions are the numerous wats (templ es) th at carries its own traditions, history and myths. Also known to be a shopping paradise, visitors should take note on their beautiful h andicraft and nick knacks sold at pretty reasonabl e prices in Chiang Mai. Tourist can also watch artisans make their products before purch asing them. A not to be missed part of shopping is to browse the night market and Sunday market for wood carvings, silver, silk and snap up brand-name items in the department store on Huay Kaeo Road. The city itself offers pl enty of things to do in the way of templ e visits, street food, and culture. But beyond its boundaries, you will find natural perfection, awe-inspiring sceneries and interesting communities deep in the mountains.

Getting there Malindo Air will be flying to Chiang Mai from KLIA 7x weekly. Book your Flight + Hotel package now via www. malindoholidays.com New destination beginning 30th October

WANDERLUST CHIANG MAI

Wat Prathat Doi Suthep This mountain top templ e is a must-see in Chiang Mai. Wat Doi Suthep’s central shrine contains a much-revered, seated Buddh a, and is one of the most popular attractions in the city. Statues of two demons guard the entrance to the templ e precinct and the gall ery is adorned with statues of Buddha in the Chiang Mai and Sukhoth ai styl es.

Doi Inthanon This is the highest peak in Th ailand, and the national park th at surrounds it, is fill ed with some of the many natural wonders th at make the country such a draw in the first place. You can do some trekking and hike the mountain, or take a more l eisurel y route around the park. Several waterfalls and a hill tribe village are among the attractions, along with two pagodas built to honor King Bhumibol Adul yadej and Queen Sirikit.

Wat Chedi Luang Constructed in 1401, the imposing structure was damaged during an earthquake in 1545. But it remains remarkabl e today, and you can still see the massive el eph ant carvings th at adorn it. Beneath a huge gum tree on the l eft of the entrance to the precinct stands a delightful littl e templ e, the Lak Muang. Built in 1940 on the site of an earlier wooden building, the shrine is the abode of Chiang Mai’s guardian spirit (Lak Muang). According to tradition, if the great tree should fall, disaster will overtake the city.

Wat Prasingh It is the largest wat in the city, and dates to 1345 when an ancient king built it in his father’s honour. The wat’s most sacred shrine is a small building call ed the Phra Wih arn Lai Kam, erected during the reign of King San Muang Ma (1385-1401) to house the famous, now sadl y headl ess, Sukhoth ai-styl e figure known as the Phra Singh Buddh a.

Elephant Nature Park Visitors are invited to spend a day volunteering with the el eph ants, feeding them and bathing them in the river. Most of the el ephants are rescues, h aving suffered as show or labor animals. Once they come here, they are no longer workers and are treated gentl y and respectfull y. A day spent here is an eye-opening experience, as you both get to spend time up close with the el eph ants and l earn about their plight.

Bua Thong Sticky Waterfalls The wooded area surrounding the falls is serene and peaceful, but the real draw is the fact that you can walk up the falls. The limestone is “sticky” even as the water runs over it, so you can climb up and down to your heart’s content. Lanna Folklife Museum Set inside the Th ai-colonial-styl e former Provincial Court, dating from 1935, this imaginative museum recreates Lanna village life in a series of life-sized dioramas th at explain everything from lai krahm stencilling and fon l ep (a mystical Lanna dance with long, metal false fingernails) to the intricate symbolism of different el ements of Lanna-styl e monasteries. I

ndian restaurants in Kuala Lumpur are aplenty, particularly in affluent Bangsar and Brickfields’ Little India area. However to choose an authentic one that fullfills your craving, can be quite tricky. Serving original Northern and Southern Indian cuisine with rich ingredients and spices, is this local household chain of restaurants called Sri Ananda Bahwan (SAB). The outlet was first established on October 3, 1991 as a start-up enterprise with a mere capital of RM6,000 at 2982, Jalan Bagan Luar, Butterworth in Penang. It was later incorporated into a private limited company called the Sri Ananda Bahwan Restaurant (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, on March 9, 2001. SAB is a well-established business model with 25 years of history. As of 2016, there are about 12 different outlets in Malaysia. They have set a great vision to achieve the best banana leaf restaurant and catering organisation in Malaysia. To meet this mission, they strongly believe in providing healthy and nutritious products at exceptional value with an unrelenting commitment to provide superior customer services.

Diwali treats Tandoori and Naan

Gulab Jamun

SAB takes pride in their wide selection of vegetarian meals, meat dishes and sweet savouries served at reasonable prices. The interesting part of eating authentic Indian food here, is its servings that are displayed on a banana leaf in small or medium portions of rice, vegetables, meat and sweets. Just the presentation will entice customers to savour on the delicious spread while their drinks, served in big silver tumblers or mini clay pots are equaly appetising. To quench your thirst, there are a variety of creative drinks on the menu. Some of their signature drinks are mint lassi (flavoured yogurt drink), mango lassi, chocolate lassi, badam milk (cow’s milk with cashew nut), three layer tea and masala tea. All the flavours of robust spices and fresh ingredients made it a meal to return for. Especially the chicken and mutton dishes. The buttermilk helped cool some of the heat and

spice, while the pappadam offered its usual crispy crunch. Located conveniently right behind Bangsar LRT station (walking distance through Menara UOB), SAB also offers nasi kandar, banana leaf rice with side dishes, naan, tandoori, thosai, roti, chapatti, poori and many more varieties in the menu. The naan had a very welcoming aroma, and the dishes were served with excellent selection of condiments such as mint chutney, curry, lime, onion, carrot and cucumber. A must try in SAB is their tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, mutton vindaloo, mutton peratal and fried fish. Not only are the dishes flavourful, but they were unique in taste. Some of them were a little bit spicier which added more zest to the cuisine. Their exquisite taste rivalled even those from other fine dining Indian restaurants. Another not to be missed item in their menu is their briyani dish.

The dish was tenderly cooked and delicious, without too much of the overpowering spices. As for dessert, there is an array of Indian sweets to satisfy your sweet tooth craving. Some of the desserts that are available in SAB are gulab jamun, payasam, halwa, laddu, jangiri, and mysore pak. The rava kesari is one of the most popular Indian desserts to go for. The semolina pudding was beautifully moist and generously sprinkled with raisins and sliced almonds. Patrons who are celebrating Diwali, can purchase some of the festival specialities from SAB such as traditional murukku, achi murukku, ghee balls and murukku mixture. If good South Indian food is much needed on your palate, then SAB is a one stop destination for you to experience India, in the Malaysian style.

your feet before the massage. After which you will be escorted to a private room that is designed in beautiful Thai interior. Before the massage, the therapist will give you some comfortable clothes to change in. Thereafter the therapists applies her skills to unblock your trapped energies. As is the custom with this sort of treatment – sometimes known as passive yoga – the expert therapist will maneuver the body into yoga-like stretching positions, applying pressure along the meridians and mobilizing your joints. It is reasonably standard that the massage consists of long, slow strokes or rubbings. At first the strokes were applied with fingers and palms, but it gets stronger and firmer in the later half of the session when the masseuse switches it to the sides of her upper arms with reasonable firmness. To complete the Traditional Thai Massage session, the therapist performs the signature stretching of body and arms leaving one fully relaxed and rejuvenated. Diwali

Treats

H

aving worked over 8 years in the corporate sector, Pamela Nathan decided to take a bold step of leaving employment and pursue what she really wanted to do most - baking. Being extremely passionate about baking, she developed a natural flair for decorating cakes and cookies. Additionally, her biggest inspiration is said to be from her grandmother and mother who have passed on their family recipe which has its unique ingredients that makes her baking goods compelling. In order to preserve the family heirloom of decadent cakes she started baking business from home and called it Natalees Treats. Her array of products include fruit cake, premium butter cake, macadamia cookies, gourmet gift baskets just to name a few. All products are made from pure butter with imported natural ingredients. whereby one will be able to immediately taste it when indulging in them. This Diwali, Natalees Treats would be focusing one of the most sought after cakes - The Sri Lankan Rich Fruit Cake. The cake is intense in texture, bursts with

flavour and has a nice nutty nibble at the end. It is then topped with a layer of crushed almond burfi (a dense milk based sweet confectionery) and enrobed with a velvety fondant icing. Each cake is intricately hand painted and inspired by mehendi designs. This wonderful treat is also ideal as a beautiful festive season gift. I had a pleasant short flight last night with you from Spore back to KL. What I have observed since flying with you all since you start operations was it was pleasant all the way from day one. Last night was very good. I am a stroke patient and still recuperating. After alighting from your plane, i felt pain in my legs and due to that i feel that i could not walk properly to the immigration counter. Thank God, your ground crew was so attentive and offered me a ride on the buggy. Your ground crew help me climb the buggy and help me alight too. They were so caring just like your cabin crew. Both crews are fantastic, couldn’t ask for more. Indeed for my next flight if your gracious airline covers the route, i will definitely book the ticket from your good selves and enjoy the wide seating space which is wider for a LCC and the pleasant cabin crew and ground crew attentive great service. Thank you most kindly.

Hello! I would like to thank flight attendants and pilots who made my flight was wonderful. I was flying with a child transfer. Unfortunately, I do not remember flight numbers), but flight attendants are immensely grateful for the best service and friendly attitude towards young mothers and their passengers, the pilot for a successful soft landing and taking off, and the company Malindo Air for a flight on the remarkable aircraft! Also, I cannot fail to notice that during the flight we were given in addition to drinks and snacks are still - thank you very much.

Alina (Russia)

I write to congratulate your Customer Service who rendered excellent service to my recent enquiry about your flight to Bangkok. He was most patient and wellinformed and addressed my queries in a professional and warm manner. Kudos for a job well done, Malindo Air!

I was flying from KLIA to Kota Bahru and it was such a pleasant flight. It was my first time on Malindo Air, and it exceeded my expectations completely. Thinking that it was going to be cramped, but every seat (including Economy Class where I was in) had spacious legroom. At the time, I realized my phone was running out of battery and there was a port for me to recharge. Refreshments were served on board too! Other than flight delay, Malindo is so convenient, efficient and comfortable. Would definitely be going on Malindo from now on! Way better than the other airlines in Malaysia!

Ariel Siew (Malaysia)

Hi Malindo, This is to inform that I have successfully received the purchased e-tickets via email without any delays. I take this opportunity to say thank you to all the teams involved and special thanks to Mr Aren from the Customer Care who assisted me via telecommunication throughout the entire process. Appreciate the help, keep up the good job!
