7 best sindy websites These are the websites Sindy collectors turn to again and again for research, information, reference and good old-fashioned Sindy fun.

www.oursindymuseum.com Possibly the most comprehensive and in-depth Sindy website that collectors use for identifying fashion and scenesetters. They are currently updating with the 1980s - so watch that space!

www.vintagesindy.com A great resource for identifying pieces, as it features all the brochures produced from the 1960s - 90s. Easy to use, as it is set out in decades and by year.

www.sindy.co.uk More of a fun site (albeit in need of some updating) than a reference resource from Pedigree Toys and Brands Ltd. It showcases Sindy crafts, games, stories, news and colouring sheets. It also features images and stories on the Sindy anniversary collection - that was just for fun though!

THE SINDY SHOP A COLLABORATION WITH PEDIGREE TOYS TO OFFER A UNIQUE COLLECTION OF SINDY PRODUCTS AND DESIGNS

www.sindyplay.co.uk For news, crafts, printables and videos on the new Sindy Play range launched by Kid Kreations in 2021, this is the place to go. If you want to purchase the last remaining Sindy collectors dolls you need to go to its sister site at www.sindycollectorsclub.co.uk

www.sindydoll.wordpress.com A passion website set up by the late collector Helen Carter where she shared her knowledge, Sindy projects and an extensive section that is great for outfit identification. The fun features and mood-board style collages reflect on Sindy's place in fashion history and popular culture.

www.petradolls.co.uk The go-to website for doll identification - not just Sindy Barbie, Petra and many more are included. With clear images and precise information you can date your doll by checking the suggested markers.

www.thelittlesindymuseum.com Set up by collector Martina Söderström to showcase her actual little museum based in Sweden. Here she shares her collection, history, photographs and interviews with fellow collectors. Martina is always looking for contributors to build the site, so do get in touch if you can help .

DEAR SINDY... Before TIP: It's best to use a bald Sindy that can be rerooted. Step 1: You will need a large stainless steel pot big enough to fit a Sindy in.

YOU WILL NEED: Rit DyeMore in chocolate brown Washing up liquid Rubber gloves

Step 2: Fill bowl with near boiling point water and add dye. Use a wooden spoon to stir and move Sindy around and out of bowl when complete.

.

Step 3: Add a teaspoon of washing up liquid to bowl and stir. Add Sindy to bowl.

...how do I dye my skin colour?

Step 4: Use rubber gloves - and try not to burn yourself - and a wooden spoon to retrieve Sindy after 5 minutes from the dye bath. She will be very dark at this point, but you can adjust the timings depending on tone you want. You will then need to think about giving her a reroot and painting her face.

Can't find a Gayle or Black Sindy? Then why not make your own. Eileen Mullay showed us her foolproof step-bystep method to dying a TLC Sindy head and body.

Eileen's DIY Black Sindy taking centre stage with her two original Gayle Sindy dolls.

RAIN AND SHINE SINDY 1982 'Rain or Shine: There's an outfit for Sindy' stated this boxed doll and outfit set in 1982. For sunny days Sindy had a strapless floral printed sundress with a matching bolero jacket. But, if the rain came her handy coordinating hooded raincoat and umbrella (albeit non-opening) would keep her dry. Ever the practical girl is Sindy. Rain and Shine (44708)
