ROW INDEPENDENT CORN HEAD There are many kinds of corn heads but in all the already known ones the head row-spacing should fit the crop row-spacing and the crop must be harvested in the very same direction it was planted. The MDD-100 is a 525 mm (21 inches) row-spacing corn head which however can harvest every row-spacing and in every direction without adjustments or modifications in a wide range of crop conditions -even downed crops-, keeping loss levels at a minimum and without ground speed restrictions. This new design allows stalks unrestrictedly and smoothly enter the row-unit stripping area despite being highly misaligned.

The new shorter gathering shields made the new side-empty snouts (both stainless steel made) to be placed rearward compared to previous heads thus allowing the row unit gathering chains to work further ahead and where snouts are thinner. This side-empty snout design allows misaligned stalks to get in touch with it at a higher distance from the ground compared to a conventional point -which lower edge works parallel to the ground and very close to it- significantly reducing plant inclination as a consequence of such contact, moreover, the higher the contact occur the minor will be stalk inclination resulting in a smoother head penetration into the crop. Also prevent friction in the most rigid and firm stem portion almost eliminating the risk of “bumping” the crop with the snouts. The higher the snout touches the stalk the more flexible it is and the lower the risk of break it off. Briefly it allows stalks entering mismatching the row unit centerline to reach the gathering chains without being bumped or broken, with minimum inclination and not being shak-

en. On the other hand, the new double sprocket gathering chain tensor arm -which provides a wide V-shape row unit front end- form a broad entry channel for misaligned entering plants allowing them to get to the stripping area not being shaken, thus avoiding the risks this entails. Even though gathering chains runs faster than usual, stalk shaking is avoided mainly because conveying lugs runs almost always in a linear motion and thus always at the same speed. Harvesting 525 mm (21 in) rowspacing crops it definitely solves the problem of misaligned rows when the planter width does not match the head width. Harvesting narrower row-spacing crops it allows to increase working width at the same header weight compared to fix headers and regardless row-spacing, reduces harvest losses on overlapped headlines, improves performance in downed crops, it can harvest in every direction to maximize combine productivity, it allows the farmer to plant corn at any row-spacing, allows the custom harvesters to fit every rowspacing with just one header, etc.

Auxiliary augers on side fenders: Reduces side losses, daily productivity increases mainly in weedy, donwned , wet crops, etc.

Snouts: The empty side design allows the crop penetrate without causing sudden movements to the crop.

Each snout features a sturdy stand with height adjustment setting for quick and easy operation.

One torque limiter for each collection unit. Increased mechanical overload protection. No maintenance required on torque limiters.

AMAZINGLY SIMPLE. SIMPLY AMAZING… Gathering Chains: The “V” disposition on the intake side gives them ample capacity for plants collection. The combination of both designs (snouts and gathering chains) results in a high efficiency corn harvesting reducing grain looses and unaffecting working speed in different row-spacing , cross collection or diagonal to planting line.

Hydraulic control from combine seat for adjusting gathering plates opening according size of stalks.

With a simple and practical operation, hoods and snouts tilt to ease maintenance.

Simple and easy attachment of header to combine. A specific kit for each combine model.
