L’arte è un valore intrinseco in ognuno di noi. L’arte è inscindibile dall’atto creativo, e la creatività è inscindibile dalla vita stessa. Senza creatività non c’è vita. È la spinta creativa che da piccoli ancora in fasce, ci muove a voler imparare imitando l’altro. La voglia di riuscire a fare da sé, a raggiungere la propria autonomia, passo dopo passo, è un atto puramente creativo. Creare la vita, definire il ruolo e il raggio d’azione, capire il mondo attraverso le azioni, attraverso i pensieri è il nostro essere creativi, giorno dopo giorno.

Creare è un atto di ribellione, di più, è un progetto, un pro-iectare, un gettare in avanti qualcosa. È uno sguardo sul futuro, apertura al cambiamento, alla trasformazione, scommettere e camminare verso nuovi traguardi. È un’azione pro-attiva che ha come obiettivo quello di rompere la catena, liberarci da una condizione passiva per esprimere noi stessi nel modo più completo possibile.

La creatività è una caratteristica puramente umana e l’atto artistico necessita di una profonda consapevolezza di se stessi, di una comprensione profonda della propria condizione umana, di un ascolto attento di ciò che si rivela in noi. L’atto artistico è un atto che spinge l’essere umano ad andare oltre se stesso, ad esplorare condizioni, pensieri, azioni attraverso dinamiche non ancora conosciute. L’atto artistico può essere un atto di estraneazione, di allontanamento dal qui e ora. Si spezza l’abitudine. L’atto artistico è un atto scomodo, tanto critico a volte, da contorcere ogni minima certezza, è un confronto tête à tête con il proprio io, con l’altro, con il non conosciuto. Il pro-gettare deve mettere in conto la possibilità di provare l’amarezza della sconfitta e l’atto artistico è un atto di grande coraggio. È dare un senso nuovo a ciò che non si ha e per essere quello che ancora non si è.

Viviamo in tempi in cui la velocità ci rende inerti e vulnerabili, in cui l’ottimizzazione e la tecnologia si insinuano impertinenti nelle nostre vite, in cui il qui e ora sembra contare più di ogni prospettiva lungimirante di evoluzione collettiva; ed è proprio ora più che mai che l’arte, l’atto creativo munito di coraggio e curiosità, di consapevolezza e ribellione, alla ricerca sempre di armonia e bellezza, è fondamentale per ricordarci l’importanza di valori umani condivisi, che vanno oltre noi stessi per aprirci verso gli altri.

Art is an intrinsic value we all possess. Art cannot be detached from the creative act, and creativity is inseparable from life itself. Without creativity, there is no life. It's the creative push that, from a young age, invites us to learn by imitating others. The desire to do things on our own and reach our own autonomy, step by step, is a purely creative act. Creating life, defining our role and range of action, understanding the world through behaviours and thoughts, is how we are being creative, day after day.

Creating is an act of rebellion. What's more, it is a project: it literally means "to project", to cast forward. It means looking towards the future, opening up to change and transformation. It means taking a risk and walking towards new horizons. It is a pro-active action which aims to break the chain, to free us from a passive condition so we can express ourselves to the fullest.

Creativity is a purely human characteristic and the artistic act requires deep self-awareness, a deep understanding of the human condition and the ability to listen carefully to what it reveals within us. The artistic act pushes humankind to go beyond itself, to explore conditions, thoughts, and actions through dynamics which are not yet known. The artistic act can be an act of estrangement and detachment from the here and now. Habits are broken. The artistic act is one of discomfort. It is often critical, it deforms every single certainty, it forces us to face ourselves, others and the unknown. When projecting, we must also take into account the possibility of experiencing the bitterness of defeat, so the artistic act is one of great courage. It means giving a new sense to what we do not have and becoming what we are not yet.

We live in times when speed makes us inert and vulnerable, when optimisation and technology barge into our lives, when the here and now seems to count more than any long-sighted collective evolutionary perspective; and it's now more than ever that art, the creative act equipped with courage and curiosity, awareness and rebellion, constantly seeking harmony and beauty, is essential to remind us of the importance of shared human values, which are bigger than each of us and open us up to one another.
