Sulla via della sostenibilità

Trasporti, acqua e sicurezza. Questi i temi su cui si sta lavorando, in Val di Fassa, sul fronte della sostenibilità. La vallata ladina, da sempre consapevole del patrimonio naturale che custodisce suffragato anche dal riconoscimento Unesco del 2009, ha avviato nel corso del tempo alcune iniziative, specie per quanto riguarda la mobilità, per tutelare il prezioso ambiente dolomitico. Dal 2019, si è limitato l’accesso in auto ad alcune località in quota, come Gardeccia e Val San Nicolò, predisponendo navette ad hoc e incrementando gli orari d’apertura degli impianti a fune che servono l’area del Catinaccio. In tal senso, per gli spostamenti in valle e sui passi dolomitici si è sempre più incentivato l’uso dei mezzi pubblici (con corse frequenti) che sono pure gratuiti per i possessori di Val di Fassa Guest Card, ovvero gli ospiti che soggiornano in strutture socie dell’Azienda per il Turismo della Val di Fassa. L’invito è inoltre a raggiungere la quota con gli impianti di risalita munendosi di PanoramaPass, la tessera plurigiornaliera a utilizzo illimitato (nel periodo d’acquisto). La Val di Fassa si può esplorare a piedi, in lungo e in largo, grazie a oltre 2240 km, tra strade forestali, sentieri, tracciati attrezzati, tenuti sotto controllo anche con il progetto “Montagna sicura” (nell’estate 2021 sono stati manutenuti 1222 km di sentieri). In valle, per muoversi, si scelgono pure con bici, bike ed e-bike, tanto che nell’estate 2021 sono state noleggiate 30.000 bike e la ciclopedonale, che corre lungo il torrente Avisio, ha visto il passaggio, oltre che di 90.000 pedoni, di 132.498 biker. Nel 2021, infine, è stato avviato il progetto “Fassa R(evolution)” - a cui partecipano rappresentanti delle società di impianti a fune locali, Apt di Fassa, sindaci, Comun general de Fascia, produttori, professionisti della montagna, referenti di trasporti e comunicazione - a favore di una rivoluzione green e sostenibile della valle.

Val di Fassa on the road to sustainability

Transportation, water and safety. These are the themes that Val di Fassa is working on, concerning sustainability. The Ladin valley has always been aware of the natural heritage it safeguards, endorsed by Unesco’s recognition in 2009, and over the years it has launched a few initiatives, especially regarding mobility, to protect the precious environment of the Dolomites. Since 2019, car access to some mountain resorts, such as Gardeccia and Val San Nicolò, has been limited, arranging specific shuttle buses and implementing the opening times of the lifts in the Rosengarten area. In this respect, for the transfers in the valley and on the passes, the use of public transportation has been encouraged: buses are free for Val di Fassa Guest Card owners, that is the guests of accommodation facilities partners with Val di Fassa Tourist Board. The call is to get at altitude with the lifts by buying the Panorama Pass, the multi-day card with unlimited use. Val di Fassa can be explored far and wide on foot, thanks to over 2240 km of forest roads, paths and prepared tracks, kept under control also with the project “Mountain safety” (during the summer of 2021, 1222 km of paths were maintained). To commute in the valley, people also choose bikes, either mountain or electric, so much that in the summer of 2021, 30.000 bikes were rented, and the cycle-pedestrian route, which runs along the stream Avisio, saw the passage of 132.498 bikers, in addition to 90.000 pedestrians. Lastly, in 2021 the project “Fassa R(evolution)” was launched – local organizations, professionals and tourist operators took part – in favour of a green and sustainable revolution of the valley.
