everyone’s talking about...
HARVEY WEINSTEIN’S FALL FROM GRACE Hollywood super-producer Harvey Weinstein has been accused of over 50 counts of sexual indecency, harassment and even rape as more Hollywood actresses are expected to come forward with damning statements. So far the accusers include Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mira Sorvino, Rose McGowan, Kate Beckinsale, Ashley Judd, Rosanna Arquette, Cara Delevingne, Heather Graham and Eva Green. While some accounts range from mere groping to sexual propositions that would “help” these actresses further their film careers there have been 4 counts of rape recorded so far. Harvey Weinstein and his brother Bob set up Miramax and have been the forces behind some of the most popular Hollywood films including ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Good Will Hunting.’ Weinstein has been dismissed from his own organisation and The Producers Guild of
America have now officially terminated Weinstein’s membership and issued an official statement relating to the case. “Sexual harassment of any type is completely unacceptable. This is a systemic and pervasive problem requiring immediate industry wide action,” the organisation said. Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow applauded the movement. “The democratization of the spread of information can finally move faster than a powerful media mogul’s attempts to bury it,” she said in an email. Weinstein, 65, is now facing criminal charges if prosecutors in LA and New York (where most of the assaults took place) bring together the women allegedly abused to testify in court - the film mogul could face up to 25 years in prison. His wife has left him and the Motion Picture Academy has disbarred him too. And now it seems the floodgates are open, that every victim of sexual misconduct is coming out to talk about their own personal situations. Twitter promoted the #MeToo campaign on Moments, its platform of highlighted stories, and the hashtag went on to be used more than 500,000 times in its first 24 hours by people from all lines of work. Those taking part included the singer Lady Gaga; the actresses Rosario Dawson, Anna Paquin and Evan Rachel Wood.

Lane Hotel in Barbados in the midst of her personal woes, which makes this her seventh holiday in just 10 months! According to a friend of the 31-year-old WAG, Coleen is “still very angry with Wayne” but feels she and her boys - Kai, seven, Klay, four, and 22-month-old Kit - should not be punished by his actions.
NEWS ROYAL PROPOSAL IMMINENT Prince Harry and actress girlfriend Meghan Markle are house hunting with speculation rife that Harry is days away from popping the question. The couple, who have been dating for 15 months, were pictured viewing houses in Norfolk just miles away from Kate and William’s Amner Hall residence. According to reports they are looking for a property with lots of land that can house Meghan’s two dogs and be big enough to build a polo field so Harry can carry on his equestrian pursuits. Twyford Hall in Dereham (pictured here) is said to be the frontrunner. Adding more fuel to the engagement fire is the recent tea that was arranged
at Buckingham Palace with Meghan, Harry and the Queen on Thursday October 12. It is tradition that the Queen has to give approval on any royal union. Last month at the Invictus Games in Toronto, Harry and Meghan put on a very public display of affection and when interviewed about the romance Meghan said, “We are two people who are very happy and in love.” Meghan, 36, has also recently given up her acting job in the hit US series ‘Suits’ to concentrate more time on her relationship with Harry, 33, who will be sixth in line to the throne after Kate and Will’s third baby is born next year.
KYLIE, KHLOE & KIM PREGNANT Anyone who watches E! knows The Kardashian’s are a tight knit family but this takes the biscuit, 3 of the sisters are expecting babies at the same time. First up is youngest sibling Kylie who has been dating rapper boyfriend Travis Scott for 6 months. The 20-year-old is said to be expecting her first baby although has not officially confirmed the news yet and has been seen out wearing only baggy clothes to hide her growing bump. Fans of her Insta page know she posts revealing body shots and none have been seen for 3 months! Kylie has also hinted at the sex of the baby. Sharing a few Kylie Lip Kit phone covers featuring traditional baby gender colours, light pink and baby blue, teasing us with the caption, "Which one? I'm thinking blue..." Meanwhile Khloe is also said to be pregnant with her first child from NBA basketball player Tristan Thomas. Multiple sources
have revealed the news although again the 32-year-old (like sister Kylie) has refused to confirm the news. Interestingly, despite being asked the news on a daily basis the entire Kardashian clan have not denied it either. Sources believe Khloe is waiting for an engagement proposal from Tristan to announce both pieces of news in a double whammy. The only one who has officially confirmed they are having a baby is the only one not actually pregnant! Big sis Kim is using a surrogate to have her third child with Kanye West. The oldest Kardashian made the decision to hire a surrogate (in a deal costing over €100,000) after discovering that she suffered from Placenta Accreta – a condition that makes another pregnancy life threatening. The baby is due at the end of January and as yet the sex is unknown. The couple already have daughter North, 4, and son Saint who is turning 2 in December.
IT’S A BOY Reality TV couple Speidi welcomed their first child, son Gunner Stone, born on October 1 weighing 6lbs and 12 oz. Whilst Heidi Montag gave birth during a gruelling 5 hour labour at an LA hospital without pain relief, Spencer Pratt (the clue’s in the name) her not so supportive birthing partner captured it on video and posted it on social media. Spencer is heard teasing her while she
gets her make-up applied in bed and then as the contractions set in and Heidi is seen in noticeable pain pacing round her room wearing a hospital gown and breathing into an oxygen mask he says, “No epidural! Heidi’s a gangster! All natural,” in between his wife’s moans. Heidi said after the birth, “My heart feels like it’s going to explode every day just being with him.” Clearly talking about Gunner not the ***hole she’s married to.

Everybody seems to be jumping on the life hack bandwagon, so we thought we’d join them! Here’s our round up of the Top 20 life hacks that could change your life (or just make it a little bit easier to do cool stuff!) 1. Freeze grapes to chill white wine down without watering it down. Similarly use frozen olives in Martinis. 2. Heavy sleeper? Put your smartphone in a glass cup to crank up the volume to wake you up in the morning. 3. Turn on your seat warmer to keep your takeaway hot whilst driving it home. 4. To make a good toastie place 2 slices of bread in a single toaster slot so warm and toasted on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. 5. Need an inexpensive cookbook holder use a trouser hanger and suspend on shelf so the book doesn’t get messy. 6. Before you throw away a post it run it through the keys of your keyboard to collect crumbs and dust. 7. Use nail polish to identify different keys on your keyring. 8. Use a clean dustpan to fill a container that doesn’t fit in the sink. 9. Almost finished your jar of Nutella or Peanut Butter – end it with ice-cream. 10. Save yourself a few euros before heading to the car shop to remove dents and dings from the surface of your car. You can do it yourself by using dry ice. 13. Up your chances of bagging an empty plane seat between by booking the window and the aisle seat. No-one picks the middle one, so if the flight isn't full, it's likely to stay empty. 14. London , Paris, New York and Milan Fashion Weeks have been a real eye opener this season… head turning, high rise mini skirts were the order of the day on the guests and catwalks alike. Think Amber Valetti’s thigh grazing leather mini at Paris Fashion Week or actress Chloe Sevigny’s tartan Vivienne Westwood number at New York Fashion Week. Any print goes - as long as like Winnie Harlow, Jourdan Dunn and Alexa Chung wearing Stella McCartney the micro is out in force. Whilst the Winter weather doesn’t
embrace the trend – jackets, jumpers and winter boots give off a cool Wintry vibe or save it for parties and cover up with a long trench or bomber to brave the cold on the way out.
BEAUTIFUL BROWS What do Madonna, Victoria Beckham and Megan Fox all have in common? Apart from mega bank balances these beauties all swear by micro-blading, the semi-permanent make-up procedure that eliminates the need for eyebrow pencil for good. Micro-blading is done via manual blades, so strokes are sharp and crisp and mimmick your own natural brow shape with semi-permanent pigment implanted into the epidermis. The procedure is available from El Destino Hair and Beauty Salon in Estepona and costs around €300. The results of this method looks natural and just like your natural hair strokes. The process usually takes between one and a half to two hours and at least one touch up will be needed to get your final result. The healing process is relatively quick but final results may not be visible until several weeks after your appointment because of how the skin heals. Contact www.eldestinoestepona.com.

Kiss those fuzzy heads goodbye, Lidl’s new Organic Fizz contains less sulphites, which is thought to be the cause of those dreaded hangovers. Lidl master of wine Richard Bampfield explains, “Generally, organic wine producers use a lower level of sulphites in the production process, which means they are less likely to contribute to hangover. So if you don’t react well to sulphites you could be saying good riddance to hangovers with Lidl’s Organic Prosecco Spumante.”

RECIPE SLOPPY JOE BURGERS What to do with all that leftover turkey at Christmas? Well this Sloppy Joe recipe from Jamie Oliver is so much more than a sandwich or a burger, and giving it the Christmas treatment means we’re taking that bun filled with delicious pulled meat and crunchy exciting veg, served with gravy for dunking, to the next level.
INGREDIENTS • 200 g leftover cooked higher-welfare turkey meat • 200 ml leftover higher-welfare turkey gravy • 1 carrot • 1 apple • ½ a red onion • 2 sprigs of fresh mint • 2 gherkins • 1 fresh red chilli • BBQ SAUCE • 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup • 1 tablespoon HP sauce • 1 teaspoon English mustard • ½ teaspoon chipotle Tabasco sauce • 1 splash of Worcestershire sauce
3. Meanwhile, peel and finely shred the carrot, matchstick the apple, peel and finely slice the red onion, and pick and slice the mint leaves. Place it all in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of pickling liquid from your gherkin jar. 4. Finely slice the gherkins, using a crinkle-cut knife if you’ve got one, and the chilli, add to the bowl, mix well, lightly season and put aside. 5. Mix all the BBQ sauce ingredients together.
METHOD 1. Shred and pull apart your leftover turkey meat and place in a small pan with a splash of water and 4 tablespoons of gravy. Pop a lid on and place on the lowest heat for 10 minutes to warm through.
6. Split and toast your buns, then spread the BBQ sauce inside them, top and bottom. Pile your pulled turkey on the bun bases, drizzle with a little gravy and top with some of that tasty slaw. Pop the bun lids on, and you’re away.
2. Warm the rest of the gravy in a separate pan, ready to use it for dunking later.
7. Serve the rest of the gravy on the side for a naughty dunk, along with any leftover slaw.
WINE PAIRING WINE MATCH Turkey is not a powerful white meat and has a low fat content. With this in mind, your wine matches should be either a full-bodied white wine, or a medium bodied red with low to medium tannin. For reds a medium robust Pinot Noir or a Beaujolais Cru would be ideal. If you are not a Pinot fan, a mature Bordeaux, Chianti or Rioja would work well too. Although whites are overlooked with Turkey a Chardonnay is a great choice.

THE LAST JEDI
TAYLOR SWIFT REPUTATION
THE MIDNIGHT LINE - JACK REACHER
Star Wars: Episode VIII ‘The Last Jedi’, originally scheduled for release in May this year will now debut on December 15, 2017. Rey took her first steps into a larger world in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ last year and will continue her epic journey with Finn, Poe, and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the continuing Star Wars. If you are planning on seeing this at the cinema get comfortable! The film is a reported 2 and a half hours long – the longest ever Star Wars movie made. As usual with the franchise there is a stellar cast consisting of Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Benicio Del Toro, Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, John Boyega, Joseph GordonLevitt, Laura Dern, Mark Hamill, Oscar Isaac and Brit actor Tom Hardy. ‘The Last Jedi’ follows the extraordinary success of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, which was the first Star Wars movie to premiere in the popular holiday movie-going month of December. The prequal smashed numerous records, including biggest domestic and global debuts of all time as well and became the highest grossing domestic release of all time with over $861 Million and the third biggest global release ever earning $1.887 Billion. This next instalment has very big boots to fill.
Taylor Swift is back with a bang on November 10. When she dropped the first single from her upcoming album Reputation in August, ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ – or LWYMMD as its hashtag depicts – smashed all streaming records. Well 43.2 million to be exact and that was just on You Tube on the first day. However the track hasn’t been that well received by critics. Continuing in the tradition of her last album, 1989, which marked Swift’s official evolution into pop music stardom it largely abandons the melodies and savvy lyrics that made her a household name in favour of pop proclamations of vengeance. Could Taylor be taking herself too seriously? Revisiting old rifts – namely with Kanye West and Katy Perry. Near the end of the song, she answers a phone call; someone’s asking to speak with Taylor Swift. “She can’t come to the phone right now,” Swift 2.0 says. Why? “Because she’s dead.” Getting people to buy your records because of the shock factor is not new in this day and age of pop music but critics are saying the hype should be about the music – not point scoring with celebs you’ve fallen out with! The album, with 15 tracks will be released to Taylor’s usual fanfare on November 10. Let’s hope there are some catchy, melodic, well thought out tunes throughout.
The new Jack Reacher thriller by New York Times best-selling author Lee Child has been described as the “best in the business” by Booklist. The novel, out on November 7 sees Jack Reacher helping a wronged arm cadet. Whilst taking an aimless stroll past a pawn shop in a small Midwestern town, in the window he sees a West Point class ring from 2005. It’s a woman that he dated for 3 days cadet’s graduation present to herself that she loved. Why would she give it up? Reacher’s a West Pointer too, and he knows what she went through to get it. Reacher tracks the ring back to its owner, step by step, down a criminal trail leading west. Like Big Foot coming out of the forest, he arrives in the deserted wilds of Wyoming. All he wants is to find the woman. If she’s OK, he’ll walk away. If she’s not … he’ll stop at nothing. He’s still shaken by the recent horrors of Make Me, and now The Midnight Line sees him set on a raw and elemental quest for simple justice. Best advice: don’t get in his way. This outing for Reacher is Child’s twenty-second novel. The characterisation of Jack Reacher has been described as a modern day James Bond. The books are gripping and a sensational read. Plus why wait for the film when you can find out what the hero’s up to now.

JETSTREAM The Gibraltar based band are going interstellar with their award winning song, Starlight. This month sees the long awaited official release of award winning indie-pop hit “Starlight” by Gibraltar band Jetstream. The song penned by lead guitarist Stuart Whitwell was awarded “Best Song” at this year’s Gibraltar International Song Festival much to the delight of the audience and has since been in demand by the public for it to be made available on popular music download and streaming platforms. “The recognition we have received since winning the festival has been fantastic, and the reception for the song itself has been superb. We are in a very good place as a band, writing our best material ever, and performing better than ever before, for that to be recognised feels wonderful.” Since the Song Festival the band have been extremely busy, recording and releasing a further EP entitled “Flick the Switch”, an acoustic album “Live & Unplugged in the Cave” recorded on location at St Michael’s Cave and performing to big audiences at showcase events such as the MTV Presents Gibraltar Calling Festival and the prestigious Marbella Awards 2017. The band are now currently back in the studio working on a forthcoming album for release in 2018 which will mark their tenth anniversary. Jetstream have already secured Festival dates in the UK for Summer 2018, and will be releasing new music videos over the coming months. “We are very much looking forward to see what 2018 will bring us. We have some big plans that are very exciting, plus we are working on plans for an official music video for Starlight too.” Now with new band members Tristan Tonna on drums and Aaron Ignacio on guitars; the latter a major contributor to the first track from the new Jetstream “Flick the Switch” EP entitled “The Story of my Life” original members Stu Whitwell, Nolan Frendo and Justin Pou remain very much at the helm of this very successful pop / rock outfit. “The planets are definitely aligning, or it’s all in the water we’re not sure haha, but we are certainly having a great time and it shows in our new material.” The 2017 single “The Story of my Life” was released to the public with the launch of the official music video (available on the band’s website and You Tube). Not only do the band
26 MARBELLAROCKS | ISSUE 36
produce great music but they also craft visually compelling music videos with the help of their talented creative team. Jetstream followed up this initial release with a second song in quick succession. Energetic rock track “I Know” grabbed the attention of the public with its cinematically epic and bizarre music video featuring an Elvis impersonator, a parachute and a camel in the desert. Certainly worth a watch! The third track to come from this new record is a pumping anthem entitled “While I Sleep”. This song although unreleased feels very much connected to the indie-pop style of previous hits “Starlight” and “F5” however it is also
dynamically unique featuring electric drums (a first for the band) and an anthemic double vocal melody that the listener cannot help but embrace. Asked about the bold EP title “Flick the Switch” the band explained: “The title feels right for this record, it signifies a crossroads in the band where for the right reasons a change in circumstances and direction was required, so we “Flicked the switch” and found our sixth gear.” The band triumphantly delivered their best material and showcased these new songs in an energetic live performance in front of a packed “Classic Stage” at the MTV Gibraltar Calling Festival. It was certainly the biggest audience a Gibraltar act has received at the festival since its inception in 2011. Subsequently it was this performance and the strength of the Jetstream catalogue of original material that secured the band their first concert in the United Kingdom. Scheduled for the 9th November at the iconic underground music venue “The 100 Club” where legendary artists such as the Sex Pistols, Paul Weller, Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, Kings of Leon have all earned their chops over the last four decades this will certainly prove to be a
milestone in the lives of the Jetstream boys. “Performing at the 100 Club will certainly be an achievement of a band ambition so to realise that this year will be phenomenal for us. We are immensely proud of what we have achieved this year and we hope that all those Gibraltarians and Jetstream fans in London come to the gig and share a momentous night with us.” When asked about what is next for Jetstream the band were quick to point out that they are already back in the studio working on a forthcoming album for release in 2018 which will mark their tenth anniversary. Jetstream have already secured Festival dates in the UK for Summer 2018, and will be releasing new music videos over the coming months. Jetstream’s creative juices are certainly flowing and there is seemingly no sign of this slowing down. “Starlight” by Jetstream is now available to purchase and download on iTunes, Amazon Music & Google Music and to stream online on Apple Music, Spotify & Soundcloud. “Sonic Graffiti” EP is also available to purchase and download on iTunes, Amazon music & Google Music and to stream online on Apple Music, Spotify, & Soundcloud.

PINK’S COMEBACK Pink has smashed it out of the park with her first hit single from her seventh studio album ‘Beautiful Trauma’. The inaugural summer single ‘What About Us’ a beautiful club ballad, made it to number one in 3 countries and the Top 10 in a further 9. Grammy-award winning Pink really is one of the most exceptional singer, songwriters and performers of our time and this seventh offering marks a long 5 year wait for fans since her last album release date (‘The Truth About Love’ was released back in 2012) and it has been well worth the wait. In her usual style, she co-wrote all the songs on the album too. Pink, real name Alecia Beth Moore, has sold over 47 million albums worldwide to date, including over 16 million albums in the United States alone. Her career accolades include three Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, an Emmy Award and seven MTV Video Music Awards (including the acclaimed Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award). In 2009, Billboard named Pink the ‘Pop Songs Artist of the Decade’. She was also the second most-played female solo artist in the United Kingdom during the 2000s decade, behind Madonna.
GIRL BAND ROOTS Pink first rised to fame as part of a put together RnB girl group called Choice in 1995. Using her stage name Pink which she coined from the Quentin Tarantino film ‘Reservoir Dogs’ Mr Pink character aged 14, she clearly stood out from the other girls as she admitted, "I was extreme. I went through phases from skateboarder, to hip-hopper, to rave child, to lead singer in a band. I did it all, and all at the same time! I mean I was mean!” When the girl group disbanded in 1998 she was the only member to get a shot at a solo career and released her first album, ‘Can’t Take Me Home’ in 2000 under La Reid’s La Face Records which, luckily for the star, went multiplatinum. Her stock well on the rise saw her release Missundaztood in 2001 with 12 million album sales and 3 Top 10 single hits including ‘Get The Party Started,’ ‘Just Like a Pill’ and ‘Don’t Let Me Get Me.’ Pink was now a certified household name.

LOVE LIFE Pink had a string of failed relationships in the early part of her career before she met professional motocross racer Carey Hart at the X Games in Philadelphia in 2001. Following a brief separation in 2003, Pink proposed to Hart in 2005 during the Mammoth Lakes motocross race. While she was assisting in his race she wrote "Will You Marry Me? I'm serious!" on a pit board. Hart initially didn't notice and continued the race for another lap. When he did notice, he immediately veered off the track to accept right there and then. Pink made him finish the race because she refused to “marry a loser!” The couple wed in a ceremony in Puerto Rico in 2006 and they had daughter Willow in 2011 and son Jameson in 2016. Hart has also starred in two of Pink’s music videos as her love interest.
DON’T CHANGE Pink is also an active PETA animal rights campaigner and is outspoken about LGBT rights and same sex marriages. Earlier this year she got personal in her speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, sharing a touching story about an experience she had with Willow. Speaking about self-image, conformity and the legacy of rock stars before her. "Recently, I was driving my daughter to school and she said to me, out of the blue, 'Mama?' I said, 'Yes, baby?' She said, 'I'm the ugliest girl I know.' And I said, 'Huh?' And she was like, 'Yeah, I look like a boy with long hair.' And my brain went to, 'Oh my god, you're six. Why? Where is this coming from? Who said this? Can I kick a 6-year-old's ass, like what?' But I didn't say anything. Instead I went home and I made a Powerpoint presentation for her. And in that presentation were androgynous rock stars and artists that live their truth, are probably made fun of every day of their life, and carry on, wave their flag and inspire the rest of us. And these are artists like Michael Jackson and David Bowie and Freddie Mercury and Annie Lennox and Prince and Janis Joplin and George Michael, Elton John, so many artists — her eyes glazed over. But then I said, 'You know, I really want to know why you feel this way about yourself.' And she said, 'Well I look like a boy,' and I said, 'Well what do you think I look like?' And she said, 'Well you're beautiful.' And I was like, 'Well, thanks. But when people make fun of me, that's what they use. They say I look like a boy or I'm too masculine or I have too many opinions, my body is too strong.' And I said to her, 'Do you see me growing my hair?' She said, 'No, mama.' I said, 'Do you see me changing my body?' 'No, mama.' 'Do you see me changing the way I present myself to the world?' 'No, mama.' 'Do you see me selling out arenas all over the world?' 'Yes, Mama.' 'OK! So, baby girl. We don't change. We take the gravel and the shell and we make a pearl. And we help other people to change so they can see more kinds of beauty.'
PIPPA MIDDLETON
And to all the artists here, I'm so inspired by all of you. Thank you for being your true selves and for lighting the way for us. I'm so inspired by you guys. There's so much rad shit happening in music. And keep doing it. Keep shining for the rest of us to see. And you, my darling girl, are beautiful, and I love you!” she said. The guests all gave her a standing ovation and Pink filled the news headlines the next day in her typical style.
2018 ARENA TOUR Pink has also just announced a 40-date arena tour of the US and a further multiple arena concert in Australia from July to September 2018 where she has a huge fanbase and even a pink bathroom decorated in pink (of course!) at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Pink’s album was released on October 13 and went straight into the number one spot in the Top 10 album chart. She is pretty chuffed with the way the album turned out saying, “I'm certifiably, insanely proud of this album. It's been a while, and I'm grateful for all the years we've had. Looking forward to the next chapter with you.”

VILLA PARADISO Situated in the beautiful Mijas Hills region of Marbella, the experienced team at Villa Paradiso offer effective addiction treatment in a very private, discreet and rejuvenating environment. At the heart of what they offer is understanding – an understanding of your needs, problems and how to help you overcome addiction, whether that be from drugs, alcohol or any other type of addiction. Villa Paradiso is not a clinic with set medical procedures but a place of peace and rejuvenation that is run by a highly experienced, skilled and dedicated team of people who know their stuff.
There is a real stigma attached to alcohol and drug dependency, why is this do you think? The stigma is due to people not understanding the situation around any form of addiction. It's never an individual’s choice to become addicted, there is always more serious underlying issues or some form of trauma and/or void which needs to be filled.
How do you help patients overcome addiction? Here at VP we work on a personal, centred approach to support the client with their recovery. We provide them with a safe place to discuss their issues in confidence and help them acquire a coping mechanism to sustain a better way of living, free of substance and alcohol abuse.
As well as therapy you do holistic treatments what are these? We work on mind and body so healthy eating, exercise and also introducing mindfulness techniques including yoga and meditation.
You offer a gym, yoga, meditation, horse riding, swimming and a range of other activities – is building a lifestyle without alcohol or drugs key to the success in rehabilitating patients? Here at VP we want our clients to be able to live their life in complete recovery once they leave our care. We work
44 MARBELLAROCKS | ISSUE 36
on giving them the skills and positive activities they can continue with, whist maintaining their recovery. Introducing them into a positive social network and showing them, that aside from alcohol and substances there is nothing they can’t achieve with our support.
You are considered the most experienced rehabilitation centre in Spain, what combined experience does the team have? We have a highly experienced in house team who are leaders in their field, from all over the world. Our Clinical Therapist, Matthew Idle, has over 12 years of experience supporting people with addiction and obsessive compulsions. He has qualifications in NLP therapy as well as CBT and personal development and coping skills. Matthew has worked at the most prestigious rehabilitation centres in the UK as well as being a director of a recovery focused initiative helping people to maintain recovery by being involved in the project and then moving on to maintaining their own recovery.
What is the success rate for patients at Villa Paradiso? Our team have introduced and bought in new methods and practices of working to the centre. Unlike no other rehab, we have successfully delivered programs with a good success rate of up to 96% of clients who have engaged with VP.
Obviously each patient is different but what would you say is the average length of a patient’s stay at Villa Paradiso? Our success rate at VP is all about the client staying for the full period of treatment at the centre and maintaining their recovery. Each program is personally tailored to the client and is designed to maintain a lifetime of recovery. An average stay at VP would be around 4/6 weeks, however, each individual is different and it also depends on the treatment required.
Do you provide a detailed after care plan? Following treatment, our clients receive twelve months of aftercare and we work closely with the client when they leave. We provide ongoing support with a full after care program written specifically for them to work on and maintain during their recovery. Our team is available 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year to support all clients in their aftercare programs.
Do many patients relapse? In this line of treatment, you are going to have some forms of relapse as recovery is a lifelong process. Any client that follows our personal development program will maintain their recovery and we have successfully reintroduced our client back into a better way of managing their recovery.
For many being a patient at Villa Paradiso – anonymity is key. How do you protect this? One of the key elements to VP, is that it is a safe place to recover. All key programs are delivered on site by our own team. This allows us to protect the client and provides a safe environment for them during the recovery process.
The NHS reports drug addiction is on the rise with 2,248 deaths related to drug misuse in 2014, an increase of 15% on 2013 and 44% higher than 2004. Do you believe you have saved the lives of patients you have treated successfully? Each member of our team has worked in this field for a very long time and is able to deliver a professional service to clients.
Have you noticed a trend in younger patients tackling addiction? According to reports 15% of school pupils had taken drugs and 6% of 11 year olds said they had tried drugs once? Here at VP we have a schools program developed, which has been delivered in the UK with great success/results. It has received awards and been used in and delivered in over 50 schools. We believe by delivering this workshop we are creating awareness and understanding of addiction with the support that is available. We are always available if anywhere we deliver the program to might identify someone who needs our support.
What would you say is the important part of overcoming addiction? We are currently developing new ways of working around families which support both the client and the family. The recent paper published by our lead therapist shows how important social and family acceptance is to a long term recovery.
Does it feel good to help people? All members of staff are totally committed to seeing people recover and achieve their full potential. This is always more than a just a job and is carried out professionally and with love and care.

SURVIVING
XMAS C Marbella Rocks newest fitness columnist, with 7 years experience in personal training and online coaching with a flexible approach to dieting you will be pleased to hear her ethos is ‘Never diet again!’ Katie says with Pocket Rocket PT “There are no fad diets, no low calories, no excessive exercise, chocolate allowed and a social life allowed!”
HRISTMAS AND DIETS DO NOT TEND TO GO HAND IN HAND. People tend to fall into two camps. We
have the avid gym go-ers/dieters. These are the guys and girls who, even if they wake up to a foot of snow outside their front door, would think ‘Well this will be a great all over cardiovascular workout getting to the gym today!’ (a bit much maybe but you get the idea). They are the types of people who view the countdown to Christmas as a challenge! They WILL look great at the Christmas parties. They also tend to get mildly stressed at the thought of the gym closing for several days (WHY IS IT SHUT ON CHRISTMAS DAY – WHY!) a n d feel a little sweat coming o n at the thought of consuming thousands of calories. You then have the camp who think ‘What IS the point?’ They conclude that, what with all the work do’s, the Christmas markets, their kids nativity, Christmas itself, New Years…that there is zero point in watching their diet or training. They are just going to get fat. So they might as well consume ALL the food and ALL the drink and then (usually) feel awash with panic and guilt come 1st January and make a lot of announcements on Facebook that ‘This is the year I get myself fit!’ Now, obviously both the above are extremes but I can guarantee you’re reading thinking one of them is you in some way. Because most people are guilty of doing one or the other. The problem is neither I would say are particularly healthy or beneficial.

Group 1 basically don’t know how to relax. Christmas isn’t enjoyable and there’s an element of guilt or trying to undo the damage. Even though realistically it’s only a few days! I mean how many parties can you have?! Group 2 are too relaxed. They go all in but actually DO want to change, deep down. And come January, realise that they are further behind because they have gone crazy for December. Ideally, we want to be a mixture of the two. So how do you do this? I give my clients what I call ‘YOLO’ moments. These are times where counting calories and macros will just be a hindrance or when the client just needs mentally a break from it all. Christmas and Boxing Day are most definitely YOLO moments in my opinion. I NEVER get my clients to track over Christmas, in fact I say to them if I see any entries
in MyFitnessPal over these two days I will be annoyed. Food and drink are important. We use them to bond with friends and family. We create memories and celebrate being with the people we love with a yummy dinner or a glass of wine (or 7!) THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS! Even if you have a goal which you want to achieve, you should still enjoy your time socialising. No six pack is worth being miserable for. Even if you’re a social butterfly during December, y o u can still maintain your figure AND enjoy yourself. It’s about balance. During the week you ensure you hit your macros, you hit the gym and get your training in. The day of the party I would get up and get some training in (weights and HIIT) to get your metabolism revved up and put the extra calories you’re going to be consuming to good use. If you’re planning to have a drink that evening, I would keep most of your calories and macros aside for this. So have predominantly protein based meals during the day with vegetables (yes boring I know but you’ll be dancing on the bar later so…balance) and the damage will be minimal. Stick to white spirits with low calorie mixers if you can. These allow you to have more drinks for less damage. So you look socially acceptable and you’ll be tipsy AND you won’t be consuming 3000 calories or more. I always tell my clients to make something to eat for when they get home as well. Because we all know, once you’ve had a drink you get ravenously hungry. This is usually when people grab a Maccy D’s or a kebab (which combined with copious amounts of alcohol, doesn’t do great things for your figure) so if you have something tasty but macro friendly for when you get home, you can sit there reminiscing about the night whilst stuffing your face and feel mighty fine about it all. BUT AGAIN – if this is a one off party, if you have just one event to attend and the rest of the time you’re pretty good with your diet and you training, ENJOY YOUR GOD DAMN EVENING. Do not count calories or macros. It’s a one off. One day isn’t going to make you balloon, it’s the same as one day doesn’t make someone a Victoria Secrets Model. By following the basic principles above you can enjoy yourself throughout December and not wind up one of those people who declare to the world their fitness goals on January 1st because it has all gone a bit wonky. Unless you want to obviously, in which case go for it. My point with all this is enjoy yourself but also keep your long term goals in your mind. That, in my opinion, is being balanced. Someone who is majority of the time healthy
and looks after their body but then occasionally knows how to let loose has a balanced lifestyle. I’ve witnessed personal trainers go from eating consecutive days of fast food (maccy d’s, fish and chips, kebab, literally one day after the other) and then make themselves chicken and broccoli 5 times a day. This is going from the sublime to the ridiculous. And in my
opinion not a healthy representation to their clients. That’s not balanced and how can you preach to your clients a b o u t balance if you cannot do it yourself? So to wrap this all up; Christmas doesn’t have to be a free for all. You can still make amazing memories and enjoy all the parties whilst walking into 2018 looking hot. You are completely in control and you can exercise balance. You’ve got this.

Finca Besaya n
o matter what season it is, if you live in Marbella or just visiting you have to go to Finca Besaya, it is my #1 venue to recommend and as deputy editor of Marbella Rocks I get to go to a lot of top notch places! Finca Besaya has everything to offer under one roof - a romantic terrace restaurant and a special indoor restaurant with beautiful décor, a state of the art bar and lounge where over the summer and winter weekends offers you spectacular events and entertainment with shows, live music and with amazing views - you will definitely have a night to remember.
Arriving to Finca Besaya, you can’t help but feel like royalty as it is stands so high on its own hill in the mountainous and exclusive area of Sierra Blanca (just behind the Istan shopping parade in Rio Verde Alto) with a majestic staircase makes it feel like you are arriving to a castle instead of a thoroughly modernised Finca. The charming staff will be waiting for your arrival at the top of the stairs and welcome you into the venue. As we are escorted to the outdoor terrace restaurant I can’t help but pay attention to how wonderful it has been designed and decorated, like walking into a fairytale – the whole experience was very magical. On top of the terrace we got to meet our waitress for the evening, the very friendly and wonderful Alina.
Wine Drinkers Paradise
For all wine drinkers, Finca Besaya has a huge range of all sorts of champagnes, wines and beverages and your Sommelier will help you chose one that is suitable for your meal. As I am a red wine drinker I was recommended to try a wonderful red ‘Valdero Reserva’ a very light and smooth wine, the perfect choice for me and my guest. As we are glancing at the menus we receive little appetizers of fine cut vegetables and a homemade seafood dip accompanied with warm bread – very tasty and a hint of what was in store for us on this enchanting evening.

GASTRONOMY
Specialties and StarterS
With so many good things to choose from, we started with the King Prawn Salad with Avocado and Mango, an exotic and colourful salad that combines the sweet and savoury well. The taste of the king prawns with the mango makes a fresh combination of the sea and tropical taste in your mouth. A very light option highly recommended if you are going to choose a heavier main. Next up the Foie Gras “Mi Cuit” with Pineapple Mango Chutney served with Cinnamon Brioche Toast was also divine. You will have an explosion of different flavours in your mouth at the same time, you can taste each ingredient but they all go so well together and just makes this dish spectacular and a must try in my book.
Dream Desserts
Don’t know if you can end this dinner better than we did, but we decided to go for the Chocolate Fondant with Blood Orange Sorbet and it was the perfect choice. The soft hot chocolate fondant was not too heavy, not too sweet and as it combined with the cold blood orange sorbet was a very fresh taste - the perfect combination. Plus it was not too big and not to small, a beautiful dessert, and a wonderful way of ending our dining experience.
More Than Just A Restaurant
Look Out Meat Lovers
Finca Besaya will make you feel like you have died and gone to steak heaven. For the main course our very helpful waitress gives us great advice on what dishes to select. The Rossini Fillet Steak is a classic steak, tender and tasty but not too heavy. The steak was laid on a shredded pan-fried potato cake with steamed garden vegetables and a red wine jus. This will be a great dish if you want to just go for a classic option. The Famous Finca Besaya hot stone prime cut beef fillet steak comes highly recommended however and people come back just to order this amazing dish. I had never had a hot stone steak and was not sure what I was to expect when it came out, but I was very happy with its arrival and it was just a spectacular dish on its own. The taste was just a big WOW for me and I just fell in love with it, the meat just melts in your mouth. It comes with 3 sauces, steamed vegetables and thick cut potatoes, but the meat is so good that it can easily be eaten on its own - I can say that I will be back for this dish again and this is a BIG must when you come here.
Once you have finished your dinner, you are welcomed to stay and have a drink or cocktail in the beautiful lounge or terrace area. This is just perfect ending for dinner, or a perfect start to a big night out! For those who like to party you can also have a dance and feel like a queen at Finca Besaya with its magical and colourful atmosphere and great music and show you will have the best time here. The crowd was also friendly and multi-cultural a great nod to the cosmopolitan vibe that Marbella has to offer.

Our instructors are fantastic - and they all have one thing in common - a passion for pole dance and for passing on their knowledge of pole dance to their students. We are very patient and encouraging teachers, and we assume no prior dance skills, strength or flexibility when you come for your first class. So if you are worried about not having a dance background, don't be! Most of our students have no prior dance experience. Our beautiful dance studios were designed to create an atmosphere where you can feel comfortable and sexy. We offer challenging and fun dance classes for all ages.
You'll make new friends and have a laugh - all while developing your strength and flexibility. You won't believe what you are capable of!
Come and give pole dance a try - we hope you love it just as much as we do!

At least she had a pillow! A girl discovered that dough can make a good headrest if you feel overcome on the way home from a night out
MANY OF US HAVE WOKEN UP IN THE MORNING WITH A SORE HEAD AFTER ONE TOO MANY ON A BIG NIGHT OUT, BUT AT LEAST YOU CAN FEEL THANKFUL TO FIND YOURSELF TUCKED UP IN YOUR OWN BED. SOME REVELLERS HAVE NOT BEEN AS LUCKY, HOWEVER, FINDING THEMSELVES OVERCOME BY TIREDNESS BEFORE THEY MANAGED TO MAKE IT HOME. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SHARING IMAGES OF DRUNKEN PARTYGOERS ONLINE AFTER THEY PASSED OUT IN AN INCONVENIENT SPOT, SUCH AS SNOOZING ON THE SIDE OF THE PAVEMENT WITH A PIZZA SLICE AS A PILLOW. ONE MAN PASSED OUT IN A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE POSITION ON A PILE OF LOGS, WHILE A WOMAN APPEARED TO FALL ASLEEP HALF WAY THROUGH THE CAT FLAP AFTER A FAILED DRUNKEN FUMBLE FOR KEYS. Snacks are a good idea when you've overindulged in alcohol, if you can make it home with them first
If the drunken fumble for keys proves unsuccessful, then there's always the cat flap
If you're feeling a little nauseous after a few too many, the bin does make an ideal resting place

You're not home yet! This man got a little too excited and stripped off to his underwear on the train ride Let's hope he's not chilly! This man fell asleep on the roof after what must have been quite a party
Who needs a duvet? It might not be the most comfortable choice, but you can always shelter under an upturned table
Oh dear! As well as appearing to pass out on a car bonnet this man suffered a very unfortunate incident on the way home
If you can't make it to your own bed, then using a bush as a pillow is always an option

22 MAY – 21 JUNE
24 JULY – 23 AUG
Taurus
Cancer
Virgo
21 APR – 20 MAY
22 JUNE – 23 JULY
24 AUG – SEPT 3
It’s all about making connections on more than one level, Aries. Cause and effect being one of them. How events get set in motion. The decisions you make. And the results of these. Maybe you got what you wanted – or maybe you didn’t. If it’s the latter then this is your opportunity to choose again. Big gains can be made this month with your salary, investments and even treasures lurking buried deep where you had overlooked them until now. The other types of connection that are on offer? You could benefit from someone’s generosity as they put their assets at your disposal. This could be anything from money to their time or even a place to live. Singles could be tempted by the big ‘L’. Is it love or is it lust? Or if you’re really lucky an irresistible mixture of both? December could bring you an offer you can’t or simply don’t want to refuse. Whatever form it takes it has a purpose – and that is to expand your worldview or just your experience. Time to test the limits of what is possible now. Allow yourself to go where you haven’t gone before.
Intense longing and yearning for something or someone could fuel you now, Taurus. Chances are you want a bigger slice of life than what’s been on offer of late. The backdrop to your life now is all about partnerships and ‘It takes two, baby.’ Chances are any sense of dissatisfaction you are experiencing stems from partnerships – or lack thereof. Perhaps your current relationship is not giving you what you need. Time to initiate changes if so. This can be anything from communicating what you need to your current partner – or even moving on if necessary. Single? Time to take steps to rectify that too if you no longer want to go it alone. Of course, this may not be about a romantic relationship at all. It could involve a working partnership, friend or activity partner or even that certain someone you can’t stand. Any kind of partnership – that includes your enemies, also comes back to our sense of self. What can I say? To activate that sense of togetherness, look inside to your core. Same goes for someone you would rather not deal with. Banish what they represent within and say hello to real love instead.
Your day job may bring you surprising benefits perhaps in the form of a raise or acknowledgement or you just feeling you’re in the zone. No day job? Get ready to find your gig. The feeling that things are flowing your way extends to your personal life too. Positive strokes in one area have a knock-on effect which sees you literally ‘putting yourself out there’ in others. If romance has been lacklustre or just plain missing, you could see your confidence restored to the point of you putting yourself back out there again. And hey – people are buying what you’re selling. With that in mind, your talents and skills are also in focus and if you already have that full-time gig, opportunities to big up or launch that side hustle abound as yes, people want what you have to offer. All this points to a return of belief in yourself and being unafraid to let ‘you’ shine through. Time to ask if something is fun or hard work? This has nothing to do with not being prepared to do what needs to be done. It’s about the love that gives back to you. It doesn’t matter whether this is your work – or your relationship. . If it’s all investment and no return, consider a change.
Life is asking you what you want to see, do, learn or experience, Cancer. The emphasis is on areas connected to travel, creativity, children and romance. In what area would you like most to shine and be appreciated? Where would you like to go? People forget that the good things in life – romance, success, the rewards of creative self-expression, fun and even indulgence, are spiritual experiences we can learn from as well as the challenges. Your social life sparkles and you could find yourself either the life and soul of the party – or centre stage in some way. November is all about being in the flow of life and realising that in fact, no, it doesn’t have to be a struggle. You should be in a position where you effortlessly attract who or what it is you need now – whether it’s that job or a new lover. Act and dress like a superstar and see what follows. Or is life still an uphill struggle? It shouldn’t be. If so, time to let go and let the energy flow. This could involve literally ‘letting go’ of something. Those old photos of a lover. That clutter. Those thoughts that life has to be difficult. That connection you know no longer works. Ditch it and embrace the job instead. That’s just the job for you right now.

You could be experiencing an intense ‘pull’ towards making yourself secure or home and family this month, Leo. Has the nesting instinct taken over? A sense of place or having one, could be fuelling important changes for you now and up until about the third week of November. This is an excellent time for property decisions or just to make that commitment to move. Your ‘roots’ or putting them down somewhere will be in focus now. If you already like where you are living then commit to it. If not, time to commit to moving to where you have a renewed sense of place. It’s time to think in the long term and not the short. When it comes to your love life, does your current union sustain you or is something missing? You need good emotional foundations now. This has nothing to do with being ‘needy’ and everything to do with knowing that person is there for you when needed. You are usually so confident, golden and glowing that other people fail to see your vulnerable side. Don’t be afraid to own it or own up to it. By the end of the month you’re back in full ‘roar’ mode and the party animal re-emerges once again. However, don’t lose sight of the fact that even lions need a den and we all need someone or somewhere that’s nice to come home to.
One vital exchange of information could see good news you won’t be able to miss flowing back in your direction in return now, Virgo. Put it out there. And by that I mean your ideas, your CV, your smarts and your business acumen. Publish yourself on whatever platform you have available. Expect an influx of calls, messages, news, emails, meetings and invitations. You may feel you have to be in two places at once to deal with it all. Keep track of your diary. Your workload could be set to increase as a result. You could also be dealing with the media, publishing, writing, blogging, journalism – or people who work in those areas. New love interest? They’ve got lots to say for themselves and don’t be surprised if they are younger than you – or have a decidedly youthful outlook or appearance. Do ensure they back up what they talk about with action however. By the end of the month, all this could see you wanting to retreat from the world and a little recharge or ‘me’ time could be in order. Remember, you can only keep up the pace for so long. Whatever you do, don’t exist on coffee and take out because you’ve got so much on. It’s all about organisation and scheduling too. And that means scheduling the down-time if needed. And you excel at that, Virgo.

Are you making the most of what you have, Libra? Before you argue ‘I have nothing’, think again. I am not just talking about your bank account but your talents, skills and even the people you know. Utilise what you have to get whatever it is you need now. This can be anything from that new job to somewhere to live – or even both. Often we can’t see what is right in front of us – the ‘wood from the trees’ syndrome, and you may be affected by this. Step back and do a stocktake if necessary. There are opportunities right in front of you or a door is opening and all you have to do is step through it. It is a time to appreciate the assets you have at your disposal – in order to accept even more that is due to come your way this month. Your bank account may be in for a much-needed and well-deserved transfusion. When this happens, put it away and don’t splurge – well, not all of it anyway. This is your foundation stone from which something lasting can arise. What you build is up to you now. Have fun doing it and make sure you sit back reap the rewards of your efforts Libra.
This birthday season should have seen the emergence of a fabulous new you. In fact, this is the season of YOU. Or have you yet to emerge? Perhaps you are your own work in progress this November. This is a birthday season like no other. In fact, you have not had one like this in 12 years. Time to launch those big plans, if not your new self. This is one time to let your heart lead the way and for you to follow knowing you are headed in the right direction. What is your heart saying it wants? If you can quiet the party that’s happening around you, it’s time to listen. You are a magnet right now – for people, for opportunities, for love and for whatever it is you need to follow your heart’s calling. By the last quarter of the month, you could even see tangible as in material, results from this. The other upside of all this is that you are not unafraid to go after whatever it is you do want. The message of this month is that the time for compromise in key areas is over. Don’t accept second best (or being made to feel that you are). Go for what you really desire.
There’s more going on with you than meets the eye this month, Sag. And this may be a theme for you over the coming year. You could find yourself working behind the scenes in some way. Or formulating big plans that you are keeping to yourself for now. This isn’t how you normally operate but you are about to experience the power that comes with holding back and not giving too much away. At least until you are good and ready to. Your famous Sag generosity may be operating at maximum right now. I would urge caution as the festive season rolls around as you could end up giving away more than you can really afford to. Feel the need to give? Rather than spend money donate your time, expertise or wisdom instead. Make a present of your presence. The start of your birthday season ushers in a time of mysterious travels, exploration of the depths and ventures into unknown territory. You’ll need a map, a compass and not just a star to guide you, but intuition too. The coming year may see you venture some place you never dreamed possible – or thought existed for that matter. Happy trails.
The end of the year is fast approaching. And all it brings with it. Yes, your birthday and the season to be jolly. You may not be feeling it just yet however. This may be the month for withdrawal and contemplation. Think of it as getting yourself ready for one of the biggest cycles you have experienced in a very long time – or have done this lifetime. Your intuition and creativity will be firing on all cylinders, so as they used to say in the ‘60’s – turn on, tune in, drop out. At least for a little while - if only for a few hours. Friends may be urging you to come out and play but if that inner voice is telling you different, then I suggest you listen. The universe is asking you to get clear on your future direction and what it is you want to achieve. You are shortly about to enter an incredible cycle where you can make huge in-roads into your career and establishing something for your future. All this takes energy and commitment. You may find yourself feeling unusually sensitive and if so, this is just one more indication some serious down-time is in order. You know full well this won’t last. If you have a vision for the future, you are now preparing to ride that wave. Get ready for the perfect break.
Don’t fall into the trap of all work and no play, this Christmas, Aquarius. But don’t shy away from accepting more responsibility if it is offered either. The key is to maintain a balance and you will quickly find this comes from reaching out and connecting to others. Your network of friends is probably your biggest resource right now so utilise them and above all, stay connected. This is a fantastic month to advance those career ambitions and also to sincerely impress people in positions of influence and authority with what you and only you, can bring to the table. But don’t lose sight of the fact that you need a life outside of work. It may be a good idea to just jot down how many hours you are clocking up at work this month, just to ensure that things are not out-of-balance. Is this typical for you and is part of a long term pattern? If so, change it. Especially if people start complaining they never see you. The final week of November should redress any imbalance and you may even have a milestone to celebrate at that point. Chances are whatever this is was also a group effort – or involved you and at least one other. All this is telling you that life – and enjoying it, is a collaborative venture. Don’t be a hermit now or use work as an excuse. Why deprive others of your uniqueness anyway?
Travel especially the work-related variety, is highlighted for you now, Pisces. If certain people have labelled you as just a dreamer, you are about to challenge their perceptions as ambitions are ignited. You need a career that excites and inspires you with what you can achieve. Are you getting that? If not, a change of direction is possible for you now. Luck is on your side when it comes to making a move – whether it’s up your current ladder or across to another one. What November brings for you is the knowledge that you simply can’t stay put or stand still. There needs to be forward motion happening. Take restlessness as a sign and if change needs to occur and don’t stand in its way. Others may be dealing with the law, academic studies, big business or the media – or be drawn towards them. Dealing with businesses or people from overseas is another possibility. Singles could literally encounter that intriguing stranger from far, far away – and find themselves smitten. November is all about starting or continuing a journey on some level. No more spinning your wheels. If you stay in the same spot the view never changes. Broaden your horizons by the end of 2017.

WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT OWNING YOUR OWN BAR/ RESTAURANT? That there’s never a dull moment, I meet many nice people and I can eat amazing food everyday. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE DISH ON THE MENU? I am crazy about our lamb chops with garlic mash, our pil pil is the best I ever had & almost daily I eat the Chef’s Bowl. This is a tropical salad with chicken or prawns and the ladies are mad about it! IF YOU COULD ONLY TAKE 3 THINGS TO A DESSERT ISLAND WHAT WOULD THEY BE AND WHY? My kids, a good book and Blend’s lamb chops ;-)
haha! Just joking, I love all kind of music, from Ed Sheeran to deep house to foreign music that sounds like crying cats. Just no rock music for me. BEST THING ABOUT BEING IN MARBELLA? The weather! WORST THING? I work very quick and clear, I had to get used to this Spanish mentality where everything takes a lot of time and does not always go how you want it. For a control freak like me it can be hard, but hey, I’ll manage, I enjoy Marbella a lot!
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT? I am very proud of my work, but even more proud of the fact that I raised my kids to be adorable grown-ups and they all have a good heart. BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN? To never mind what other people say and do what I want. I am used to the fact that I always stand out from the crowd. WORST HABIT? I am sooooo stubborn. WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE GROWING UP? Well, my parents wanted me to be a doctor or a lawyer as I went to the gymnasium. But me? One day I wanted to be a photographer, other day a dog rescuer, third day something else. I am a creative person, sometimes messy and annoying, but always with good intentions!
