His father Chef David Dayal Gomes was a British Chef in London. Lawrence´s great grandfather, Samuel Maita Gomes was also a well recognised chef. On his maternal side, Lawrence´s grandfather, was also a well respected Chef during The British Reign in India at Fort William Calcutta, and was also a Gold Medal Winner, who received notariety from Queen Victoria, King George-I and King George-II. Lawrence´s paternal grandfather, Hiru Dayal Gomes was a pre-opening Chef of P&O Cruises, which were the oldest & first class Cruise line in the world of commercial Passenger ships. Also, many of Lawrence´s closest relatives, cousins and brothers are respected National & International Famous Chefs. Chef Lawrence Gomes has more than 31 years of professional chef experience, innovative and creative ideas of multi cuisines and the Hospitality Industry. He has worked at the Ritz Hotel Mumbai, The First Italian Hotel in India, the Deira Park Hotel Dubai, Al-Burami Hotel Omen, The Dubai Hilton, The Dubai World Trade Centre, The Dubai Hilton Beach Club, The Hilton Apartments & Club, The Ramada Continental Dubai, The Hindustan International Hotel Kolkata and The Hotel Shikhara NB. Since 2003, Master Chef Lawrence Gomes has been working in Aamby Valley City, India, one of the top ten destinations in the world, at The Seven Star Hotel owned by SAHARA GROUP, spread across 12.000 acres. His experience includes, Hotels Banquets, the 12 Restaurants, 30 Function venues with more than 1.000 rooms, The International School, the Private Airport, The Base Hospital, the Pirate Ship, the Aqua Bus, the private Sea-Planes, the Hotel Spas. Chef Gomes, pre-opening teams at Aamby valley City, have successfully contributed in the opening of Restaurants, Banquets, indoor and outdoor venues, Wedding Catering, Corporate events, Leisure Functions and even TV Shows like Miss India, Biggest Looser, Asian Golf Tournaments & also on going events.
