0 1 . Drain a can of garbanzo beans (chickpeas), setting the liquid aside. Put beans in a food processor and begin processing. 0 2 . Add about a 1/3- 1/2 cup Tahini to taste. 0 4 . Add a about a tablespoon of lemon juice (fresh is best). 0 5 . Add about 2 cloves of garlic (roasted, if you’re getting fancy for company). 0 6 . Add about a tablespoon of olive oil and about a 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. 0 7 . Then add a little of the reserved bean liquid as needed to get to desired consistency (it will thicken up as it sits in the fridge).

0 8 . Then you can add spices or add-ins as you like!

N O T E : Add some cayenne to spice it up or cumin to mellow it out. Add roasted red peppers or make it out of black beans or blackeye peas instead of chickpeas!
