a mostra “La protezione dell’ambiente in Cina: per uno sviluppo sostenibile.” si snoda tra immagini e filmati per illustrare l’impegno costante della Cina nei vari ambiti della tutela ambientale. L’intento è quello di illustrare lo sforzo incessante intrapreso da un grande paese alle prese con un processo veloce di industrializzazione e di urbanizzazione, per risolvere i problemi legati alla tutela dell’ambiente e per diffondere una “coscienza verde” fra la popolazione. Nel percorso espositivo, gli scatti d’autore e i filmati originali presentano il lavoro svolto dalla Cina per arginare l’inquinamento ambientale, incamminarsi sulla strada della progettazione sostenibile, sviluppare fonti energetiche rinnovabili ed ottimizzare l’efficienza energetica in tutto il paese, tramite progetti puntuali e monitorati. La mostra è composta da due sezioni. La prima presenta, attraverso una serie di fotografie, le azioni del governo cinese volte a concretizzare il suo impegno nel risparmio energetico e nella protezione ambientale. Insieme ai progetti vengono proposte alcune immagini suggestive di paesaggi e realtà cinesi. Le fotografie sono incorniciate in forme ispirate al carattere cinese “zhong”, che significa Cina. All’apice dello stelo è posto un cerchio stilizzato, come un punto sulla I, che richiama la I di Italia; due paesi che da anni svolgono un lavoro comune sui temi della sostenibilità. La seconda sezione, più multimediale, è dedicata alle ampie proiezioni. Adagiate alle pareti laterali, si aprono sullo sfondo suggestivo della Grande Muraglia, rappresentata in modo artistico e inedito lungo la sala. Le proiezioni continue dei filmati illustrano i progetti dedicati all’ambiente ed i successi conseguiti nel settore, alternati ad immagini di paesaggi naturali ed urbani, che segnano i cambiamenti in corso nel paese. In questo modo, si suggerisce al visitatore una lunga passeggiata sulla grande muraglia, accompagnata dai filmati montati su una colonna sonora originale. La grande muraglia, ricca di cinquemila anni di successi e vicissitudini della civiltà cinese, qui richiama simbolicamente il cammino della Cina verso uno sviluppo sostenibile e non rappresenta più un elemento di separazione ma, bensì, il legame tra la cultura orientale e occidentale. Cina per frammenti da cui emerge il desiderio di concretizzare uno sviluppo sostenibile e che, coadiuvata dal Programma di Cooperazione Sino- Italiano per la Protezione Ambientale, in dieci anni di collaborazione ha visto realizzarsi alcuni tra i progetti più importanti.

he exhibition “Chinese Environmental Protection Exhibition-Brilliant Achievement.” winds through pictures and videos to illustrate the constant commitment of China in various fields of environmental protection. The exhibition shows the continuous effort undertaken by one of the more important countries dealing with a fast industrialization and urbanization process, to solve the problems related to environmental protection, and to spread a “green consciousness” among the population. Along the visiting route, the artistic pictures and the original videos introduce the work developed by China to restrain environmental pollution, to start walking down the road to sustainable planning, to develop renewable energy sources and optimize energy efficiency throughout the country through specific and supervised projects. The exhibition consists of two sections. The first section offers a series of picture to demonstrate the Chinese government’s actions in order to fulfill the serious commitment of energy saving and environmental protection. Evocative images of landscapes and Chinese situations are displayed together with the projects. The pictures are put in frames inspired from the Chinese character “zhong”, which means China. A stylized circle is placed at the top if the axis to suggest a dot on the “I”, that recalls the I of Italy; two countries that from many years are commonly involved in the sustainability matters. The second section, more multimedia, is dedicated to the projections. The large projections on the walls lie on the picturesque background of the Great Wall, artistically and originally represented along the hall. The videos are played constantly, to illustrate the environmental projects that have been implemented and the achievements, whilst alternating with the images of the nature and the cityscapes, symbolizing the on-going changes. This set up suggest to the visitor a long walk on the Great Wall, along with the videos edited on the original soundtrack. The Great wall carrying five thousand years of the Chinese civilization’s glory and vicissitudes, here symbolically reminds us the direction towards China’s sustainable development and is no longer a symbol of separation, but the link between Eastern and Western cultures. From this “fragments of China” emerges the desire to realize a sustainable development that have been assisted by the Sino-Italian Cooperation Program for Environmental Protection, and the achievement of some of the most important projects in ten years of cooperation.
“中国环境保护展——环境保护全面加强” 通过 一系列的图片和影像展示，集中表现了中国在各 领域为实践环保承诺所做出的努力。 这次的展览向参观者集中展现了中国作为大国之一， 在高速发展的工业、城市化进程中如何解决环境 保护问题，并积极倡导、传播全民“绿色意识” 这一历史使命的。 在参观的路线中，这些精心制作的影像向人们介 绍了中国为遏制环境污染、走可持续发展道路、 发展可再生能源所实施的一系列措施，还介绍了 怎样通过设立在全国各地的具体监测项目提高能 源利用率等经验。 展览由两部分组成。 第一部分通过环保项目图片展现中国政府正在用 实际行动兑现者节约资源、保护环境的庄严承 诺。将中国的真实场景与自然景观相结合呈现给 参观者。 图片展示架的造型来源于汉语里的“中”字，代 表着中国。在“丨”顶上有一个圆形，又使人联 想起代表意大利的字母“I” ，象征着两国多年来 在可持续发展上的精诚合作。 第二部分的展示通过大型投影技术的运用更加多 媒体化。墙上的大型投影幕布以长城的影像为背 景图案，将长城独特的美艺术化的再现于展厅， 通过循环播放影片向参观者展示实施的环境工程 和已经取得的成效，中间穿插着大自然和都市风 景的影像，象征着正在发生的改变。 所以，我们建议参观者能随着优美的背景音乐悠 然漫步于长城之上。 长城，承载了中华民族五千年文明的辉煌和沧 桑，在此又象征着中国正在走的可持续发展道 路。它不再是分离的象征，而是联系东西方文化 的纽带。 这些“中国片段”，表达了中国要实现可持续发 展的强烈愿望，并展现了在中意环保合作项目的 框架下，近十年开展的重要项目所取得的合作成 果。

Il programma di cooperazione ambientale rappresenta un modello di partenariato molto efficace per i risultati raggiunti e per gli effetti indotti sulle imprese italiane.
The Sino-Italian Cooperation Program for the Environmental Protection is an international model of partnership, effective both in addressing the key solutions for the sustainable development and in leveraging public and private resources. The cooperation was established by the end of the ‘90s: China had started to draft its own domestic road map for environmental protection, urged by dangerously soaring pollution levels. implemented within the Program in the field of environmental monitoring and management, institutional capacity building, natural resources protection and conservation, water resources management, waste-to-energy, environmental protection in China’s poorest areas, energy efficiency and renewable energies development, sustainable urban planning, low-emission transportation systems and technologies, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity protection, and forest management. The total value of the projects developed so far or currently on-going is of 342 million €.

Hence, in 10 years, the 180 million € co-financing from the Italian Ministry for the Environment has mobilized direct or undirected investments for more than 1.240 million € for the development and diffusion in China of sustainable and low-carbon technologies. An impressive result, which demonstrates the strategic economic value of the Program, a model which has received high appreciation and very positive evaluation from both Governments.
