ENGLISH AND MATHS Most employers, colleges and universities are now asking for a minimum of a GCSE grade 4 and above in English and Maths, which is why at Sparsholt, we ensure you work towards achieving this as part of your course. This will be through GCSE classes or Functional Skills in Maths and/or English.
ARE YOU 16 –18? If you have a GCSE grade 3 in English/Maths or a Level 1 in Functional Skills, you will study the GCSE course alongside your main programme of study to raise your grade to a 4 or above.
ARE YOU 19–25 YEARS OLD WITH AN EHCP? If you do not have a GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths, you will be required to continue working towards improving English and Maths and, if appropriate, gaining qualifications.
