Having been looking at completing my CII qualification for a while, I thought it would be a great idea to join the Forces Mutual who provide an excellent broker scheme. The scheme allows me to be able to use their office and get advice on suitable products to offer my clients. After completing the insurance modules, I didn't feel confident enough in offering advice on tax and legal aspects of business so decided to complete this module. After searching online, I came across Kaplan, who provided a range of study options from self-study to classroom learning, which enabled me to fit studying around my full time job. After speaking with one of the team members at Kaplan, we agreed that distance learning was the best option for me as I could study at home when convenient for me. I received all the study material and course notes and started studying. The course notes were very helpful and allowed me to relate what I was learning to what I already knew from working in financial services for over 10 years. Also the tutor support via email was very helpful if I needed help with anything or had any questions that weren't covered in the study material.
