ÆRØ'S GOLF COURSE AND SKJOLDNÆS LIGHTHOUSE Ærø is home to the only seaside links in Denmark with a sea view from all the greens. The course is located on the northern tip of the island, bordered by sea on three sides, and with Skjoldnæs Lighthouse in the middle as a prominent hallmark. It is a beautifully kept 18-hole seaside course, the like of which you would otherwise have to travel to Scotland or Ireland to experience. The view is unparalleled, especially in the summer, when you can see a flurry of sailing ships on the waters of the Baltic Sea and the South Funen Archipelago, making their way around Skjoldnæs Lighthouse.

and Læsø. All five islands have wonderful courses featuring sea views, beautiful countryside and plenty of space. If you manage to play all five courses in 2022, you can take part in a competition to win a golfing holiday at Ærø Hotel. A round of golf on this course is a reward ing experience, and many of our guest players return again and again. The course is eminently playable, although it does present some tough challenges on both the front and back nine – especially when the wind is blowing. The front nine holes run along the south side of Ærø, while the back nine follow the coast behind Skjoldnæs Lighthouse on the northern tip of the island.
