SPORT & RECREATION Amsterdamse Bos Boscross The Boscross is a fitness circuit of 2.2 km with 18 trim units along the route. The route starts and ends at the bridge of the Duizendmeterweg and is marked with blue poles with the image of a trimmer with hurdles. Running In the Bos, there are three marked running routes of approx. 5, 10 and 21 km. They start and end at De Boswinkel and partly follow the same paths. The routes are marked in the forest with orange poles. A map is available at the Boswinkel. Field running In the Bos, a field running route (3 km) is set out. Because of the uneven surface and the height differences of the Heuvel, this track is very suitable for recreational running. The route starts at pavilion Chez Favié at De Duizendmeterweg and is marked with blue poles with the image of a running man in the grass. Cycling You can explore the Bos endlessly by bike: 50 kilometres of cycle path meander through the Bos. You can rent a bike at the entrance of the Bos. Canoe and pedalo rental At the Grote Speelweide near the Open Air Theatre, you can rent canoes and pedalos. In the canals of the Amsterdamse Bos, two canoe routes are marked with coloured poles. Horse riding in the Amsterdamse Bos Riders can enjoy no less than 21,5 km of equestrian trails in the Amsterdamse Bos. The Nieuwe Meer On the Nieuwe Meer at the north side of the Amsterdamse Bos, you can also do water sports. You can sail, windsurf, SUP and sail and there are also several marinas. Football You can play football everywhere in the Bos. Goals are placed on several playing fields in the summer. Swimming On several places you can swim in the Amsterdamse Bos. For the little ones, there are two children’s pools in the Amsterdamse Bos. There is also an official swimming location in the Bos, the Grote Vijver that has a separate swimming part.
