The Social Helpdesk is only open at the City Office and not at the other locations. All walk-in consultations are temporarily closed. You can only visit the Social Helpdesk by appointment. You cannot just walk in. Your appointment takes place at the Social Helpdesk. However, you can also contact the Social Helpdesk by telephone if you cannot come. For example, if you have corona complaints or are unable to come for another important reason.
The Social Helpdesk will help you with the following: n You do not know where to get help, advice or information; n You have health problems or a disability; n You take care of a sick family member; n You have personal or financial problems; n You want to know what activities are of interest to you; n You feel lonely or are on your own. Besides the Social Helpdesk, you can also go to the neighbourhood team in your area. They give information and advice. The neighbourhood team also employs social workers who can guide you for a shorter or longer period. If you have several problems, we advise you to go to your local neighbourhood team. Applications at the Social Helpdesk You can only apply for the following at the Social Helpdesk: n adaptations to the home; n transport facilities or aids such as a wheelchair; n supplementary public transport (AOV); n postal address; n urgent procedure; n social assistance.
