Once you have been given a price, it is very important you get a quote so that there can be no discrepancy when it comes time to pay, the most important thing for a customer is that they know exactly what they are getting and at what price. Make sure you find out what parts they use and find out what sort of manufacturer guarantee is attached to the parts supplied. A good mechanic should also call if there are any extra issues found and suggest to the customer solutions for a repair instead of taking the liberty of repairing at an extra cost without your consent. Don’t let mechanics tell you that something needs to be done straight away unless you trust them or they have a reason with proof that supports their theory.
