Music soothes the soul
We love music, there’s no doubt about it! Music touches our soul’s like no other.
Playing a musical instrument is not just about the music itself - it’s so much more. Playing music is a gift that every human being can have. You’re never too old or young to learn, everyone deserves the enjoyment of playing music.
At some point in your day you are listening to music which always grabs a memory, a feeling or an ambition. Whether you’re singing the words or tapping your foot (hopefully in time!) the music is always stimulating you in some way or another.
People often say, ‘I’ve always wanted to learn an instrument but I never have the time’ and our reply is ‘You do have time! If you have the passion, you just need commitment’. This applies especially to adults, with discipline these goals can be achieved with as little as 30 minutes per day. What other stress relief and therapy would be better than music! Playing music is enjoyable and will give you a sense of accomplishment and pride as you achieve your musical goals, while enhancing and enriching your life, happiness and general mental well-being.
If you love music like we do, you’ll play every moment you can get, as music is so rewarding and fulfilling in all aspects. Music can assist in improving social skills by playing music in a duo, group, team or band situation and building life-long friendships.
Music brings families together, music brings communities together, music bridges barriers that spoken word sometimes cannot.
So keep your brain active and give yourself a rewarding challenge that brings out the big kid in you. And let’s just put it out there, playing an instrument is just plain cool!

Sheree Johnson (owner) and her team are passionate about healthy food and healthy living. “We have a huge range of organic and gluten free products as well as superfoods and some hard to find health foods. We always encourage our customers to be aware of what they are eating and buying. Although we think a special treat every now and then is great, the health of our customers and their families is our main priority. Our passion is providing less processed and more nutritious wholefoods to foster healthier communities”, says Sheree. The Source Bulk Foods provides a relaxed old school environment where there is always time for a chat and the sharing of ideas and information is welcomed. The old corner store of yesteryear is where connection within the community happened every day. The Source Bulk Foods wants every customer to experience this. “We want to ensure all our customers leave our stores happy! A business with soul is what we are all about!” says Sheree.
The Source Bulk Foods is heavily involved in the community and believes in supporting local issues and charities. They have a keen awareness about the environment and do what they can to minimise their footprint on the Earth. The Source Bulk Foods is proudly plastic bag free and they encourage you to bring your own containers, bags and bottles to refill. It’s waste free grocery shopping at its best!

SUPPER CLUB is a concept created by Sheree. It’s a hands on cooking class and dinner feast, using the best clean, raw and wholesome foods. It is a monthly event, usually on the second Friday night of the month, in conjunction with the Ocean Street Markets.
