The diploma thesis focused on the P. O. Hviezdoslav street in Žilina, the street on the edge of the historical city center, which is an extremely important but also immensely neglected element of the city. It is important to locate the two transport terminals of the city - the railway and bus stations, the gateways to the city. The work is devoted to the possibilities of further development of the city behind the railway line in accordance with the strategic documents of the city. The project defines the possibilities of urban design of areas released after the railway track is relocated under the surface. Part of the thesis is focused on design of the integrated transport terminal, but mostly it is focused on a design of public spaces in the area, including the squares and Hviezdoslavova Street itself.
