MAPOKEZI YA NDEGE MPYA, KIWANJA CHA NDEGE SONGWE MKOANI MBEYA “Mnamo tarehe 12.01.2019 siku ya jumamosi majira ya saa kumi jioni, Kiwanja cha Ndege cha Songwe kilichopo takribani kilometa 25 kusini magharibi kutoka katikati ya jiji la Mbeya kilipokea mojawapo ya ndege mpya za Shirika la Ndege la Tanzania (ATCL) aina ya AIRBUS (A220-300) yenye uwezo wa kubeba abiria 141. Shirika la Ndege ATCL ni la kwanza Afrika kumiliki ndege ya aina hiyo yenye namba za usajili 5H-TCH iliyopewa jina la Dodoma. Ndege hiyo ilipokelewa na umati mkubwa wa watu wakiongozwa na Mkuu wa mkoa wa Mbeya Mheshimiwa Albert Chalamila pamoja na viongozi wengine waandamizi wa serikali. Halikadhalika wafanyabiashara na wananchi wa mikoa ya Mbeya na Songwe kwa ujumla wao walihanikiza mapokezi hayo ya kihistoria katika Kiwanja cha Ndege cha Songwe.
Katika mapokezi hayo kulinadhifishwa na tukio la kurusha maji kutoka kikosi cha zimamoto cha Kiwanja cha Ndege cha Songwe maarufu kama “water salute” kama ishara ya kuikaribisha ndege hiyo katika Kiwanja cha Ndege cha Songwe. Ujio wa ndege hii utarahisisha usafiri wa anga kwa wakazi wa Mbeya na mikoa ya jirani pamoja na abiria wanaotokea nchi jirani za Congo, Zambia, Malawi na hata Zimbabwe. Na pia itasaidia kufungua fursa za utalii, biashara na kiuchumi na kuongeza pato la mkoa. Kiwanja cha Ndege cha Songwe kimejipanga vizuri kwa ajili ya kusaidia na kuhudumia abiria watakaotumia ndege hii na nyingine zitakazokuja.”

Katavi
National Park Katavi National Park is located in western Tanzania close to Lake Tanganyika in Mlele, Tanganyika and Mpanda Districts; it is located between Latitude S6.630-7.340 and Longitude E30.740-31.840. Formerly before 1974, it was a game reserve; The Park was established in 1974, with an area of 2,253km2. In 1997 it was extended to 4,471km2. Its location is 38km south of Mpanda town, Katavi national park is the third largest national park, after Ruaha and Serengeti in Tanzania. KATAVI CLIMATE Katavi has a bi-modal rain season, characterized by short rain in October to early November, followed by long rain lasting for Five months December to May, although the rainfall pattern is unpredictable but. Average rainfall is 950mm. October is the Hottest Month with average temperatures exceeding 30 oC, June is the coolest month with the temperature dropping below 24oC in lakeshores.
KATAVI VEGETATION. Katavi Vegetation is characterized by Miombo, colorful mosaic with closed to open woodlands. Shrub lands, Plain grasslands, plateau, Escarpment and riverine thickets. Flowers varieties during wet season are observed; about 226 species of trees have been identified. The life line of the Park is Katuma River, which feed Lake Katavi of about 150 Km2, in the North, Lake Chada and Katsunga Flood Plain with 425 km2 in the Centre. Lake Chada receives water from Kapapa (Msaginya) river which drains its water in areas from the North of Katavi. ACCESSIBILITY. Katavi is accessible throughout the year, with 4X4 vehicles, in December to May Months and from June to October and mid December, Any vehicle can be used. HOW TO GET TO KATAVI. By Air: Several companies like Zantas air, Safari air link (SAL) and

Coastal Air, have charter flight from Dar es Salam, Mwanza, Kigoma or Arusha cities to either Mpanda airport which is located in Mpanda town or to Sitalike and Ikuu airstrips inside the park for every Monday and Thursday. By Road: From either Dar es Salaam via Mbeya (1513Km), Dar es Salaam via Tabora (1392km), Arusha via Tabora (1015.7km) and Mwanza via Tabora-Inyonga (741 km). By Rail: It is also possible to reach Mpanda by train from Dar es Salaam via Tabora then catch a public transport to Sitalike, where game drives can be arranged. KATAVI TOURISM ATTRACTIONS. Major Tourist Attractions, Katavi have the spectacular concentration of animal varieties in Katsunga Flood plain, paradise spring, Kataukasi and Kakonje Plains, Chorangwa river, Lukima Woodlands, Mpunga Flood plains, Borass Palm woodlands at Nsakasa, Mbuga ya Duma and Ikuu.

ATTRACTIONS OUTSIDE THE PARK. Lake Tanganyika, the second deepest lake in the world with beautifully beach Kalambo waterfall, best waterfall to view 120km from Sumbawanga. Hot Springs at Majimoto. Nearby National Parks like, Ruaha, Kitulo, Gombe and Mahale. TOURISM ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE PARK. Game viewing, it is the main activity for visitor’s enjoyment within the park, it is usually conducted in the day, by driving a vehicle that can be open or covered. Speed limit has to be considered not above 30km/hr and it should be in recommended tourism circuits within the park. Walking Safaris, conducted in designated trails for visitors
enjoyment, close view of wild resources and feeling of wilderness, it is strictly for Adults and that’s for safe reasons. It can be short or long walking safari depending on time to be spent walking in the park. Bird Watching, Katavi offer an outstanding diversity of bird species about 450 Species of Bird have been seen to Katavi, and therefore it easy to watch Bird during the early morning and late evening. Camping, two types, public campsite, with all important facilities, like toilets, kitchen and washrooms and Special campsite, conducted in a special areas, it has no any facilities. It is important to ensure anything you got in with, should get out with you. Bush Meals, Place for bush meals can be arranged upon request from a visitor. Pickniking best places for taking meals while a visitor is in a game drive, Filming, it’s an activity that involves taking still picture, moving picture for a purpose of preparing a movie, a song or any documentary within the national park environment. 9

Its mandatory to obtain filming permits from the Ministry of information, sports and culture and then from the office of the Director General –TANAPA. Night game drive, Night game drive is an activity conducted during the night, using open vehicle and special spotlights to observe nocturnal animals’ and their behavior. Conducted in the night from 1; 00hrs to 23; 00hrs, special open Car with spotlight, armed ranger for Escort. Hicking, walking following special trails to a waterfall, popular waterfalls in Katavi are Ndido from River Rungwa, Chorangwa from River Chorangwa and Lukima waterfall from River Lukima. Since the gazation of Katavi National Park we have been experiencing the group of indigenous coming for praying in these areas. Other areas includes Kansanga ritual site, chada ritual site and marija ritual site. ACCOMODATION Inside the Park, accommodation facilities owned by the park includes, Rest house, Seven Bandas, Campsite (both public and special), public campsites have all basic facilities latrine, bathrooms and kitchens, special campsite don’t have any facilities. The private owned tented camps and Lodge which are inside the park are Chada tented Camp at lake Chada, Katuma Lodge at Katsunga plain and Katavi wildlife camp near Ikuu.
Outside the Park there is a lots of facilities to a town known as Mpanda about 38 km from Katavi national park.

KIJUNGU JIKO (THE COOKING POT) Kijungu jiko almaarufu kama Kijungu, kinapatikana katika kijiji cha Mboyo kata ya Lupepo Halmashauri ya Wilaya ya Rungwe Mkoani Mbeya, Kijungu hiki cha maajabu kinapatikana katika Mto Kiwira wenye chanzo chake katika Hifadhi ya Mazingira Asilia ya Mlima Rungwe yakitiririka katika Vijiji mbalimbali na kisha kumwaga maji yake Ziwa Nyasa wilayani Kyela, Lakini pia ni moja kati ya vivutio vinavyofikika kirahisi sana katika misimu yote ya mwaka. Kivutio hiki kiko karibu sana na kivutio adhimu cha daraja la Mungu, uwapo sehemu ya juu kabla ya kushuka kilipo kijungu kuna muonekano mzuri wa mandhari ya milima, iliyopambwa kwa ragi ya kijani chenye kupendeza. The World is seen into two eyes perspective; one is to see from external events and deciding from internal perceptions, knowledge, experiences, belief, wisdom and skills towards life situations and challenges and the second eye is deeper on seeing the inner things of things. This is a part that see things from inside out and this is one of powerful tool most great people in different fields use in their daily activities and taking right risks and opportunities. This second part is not easily attained for most people more rather than people who have student mindset towards life. Mental model is a tool and system to use to see opportunities and take advantage in life in shortening the path to mastery and success.

It is a set of one’s thought process on how an individual understands deeper works of nature on how things work and interconnect one another as things in a one system. Seeing in this perspective needs a lot of continuous training and following instructions. Mastering this way of thinking is a leverage in life as other leverages like technology that make life easier. In knowing this early as a tool. There are benefits in how you will start seeing abundance in every area in life. This way of thinking will allow you to see possibilities in every situation in life as an opportunity that is ready to open the doors for insights, ideas, innovations and creativity. Model is a like a shortcut program installed to your mind on seeing things in their inner side and this gives you an extra mile step to go.
Malenga Mental Model is coined model from Malenga wa Ubena poetic understanding for more than 10 years of his experience in Swahili poems writing. This model based on how in a poetic perspective perceiving this world to opportunities consciousness in full endless pattern. As in composing poem verses just only you need to have wide view of things in deeper pictures and only available alphabets and letters are the one to be used in a wonderful fashion. Volunteering, altruism, internship and philanthropy is another component of Malenga Mental Model on how is beautiful to make a difference in the community through volunteering, being altruistic and pure philanthropist. There is something even little to share to the world to make it be a better place to live. Through talents, gifts, potentials, smiles, money, skills, giving can add something of value to the humanity.
