“Not just a photographer, but a certified professional photographer”

ring experience, quality in their work and of course, a photographer concerned about educating himself even more, in short, the client hires tranquility. These days, technology has made easier the access to more and cheaper cameras; people overnight have proclaimed themselves " photographers ", often without the basic knowledge in the subject. Certification makes the difference, to be a photographer is not something that you can become overnight, it takes years of work and study to achieve.

The Certification as a Professional Photographer (CPP) is an acknowledgment issued by the Professional Photographers Association of America which is the largest of its kind in the world. This is granted to those photographers who have reached a high level of professionalism, knowledge and practical experience in various branches in photography. To obtain it, the applicant needs to prof the level of professionalism and knowledge, by taking a test formulated to reflect same standards as the Institute of Credentialing Excellence. In the same manner, professionals consider all technical and aesthetic aspects of a portrait by evaluating a series of images.

"To me, obtaining the certification means: First, the implied warranty and support that I offer to my clients a commitment to work at the highest level. At the professional level, it means one more step on the long road of learning. Finally personal satisfaction, which reflects my ongoing quest for professional grow and my passion to be better every day in what I love to do. "

Now, what does this means for the client? When a person hires a certified photographer, he/she is hi18

Anette & Miguel Hi, we are Anette & Miguel a husband and wife team we take photo and video for weddings we’ve been together for almost 13 years got married 3 years ago we know what its like to plan a wedding there are a lot of mixed emotions just as there is happiness there are stressful moments and as theres love there are nervousness and not because you're getting married but because you want everything to be perfect. You invest a lot in your wedding, not just money but time and efforts you want to remember this date for years to come so you can share it with the people you love, friends, family, future children. You want to see your wedding photos and remember everything, they way you looked with your wedding dress, how handsome your husband was when you got married the way you danced for the first time as husband and wife, all the anxiousness the morning of your wedding day, how he looked at you when you were walking down the isle, how you reacted when you both said “I Do”. This is what we do, we take you back in time so you’re heart can re-live those moments forever.

Sometimes, it is hard to understand what happiness means; it is not because people do not feel it, but because it is such an enormous concept that it is difficult to explain with just simple words. I would say happiness has a relationship with time. Very few are lucky or smart enough to understand the value of time; what does the past signifies in our lives; because it is in that past time where you met that very great man you are about to marry. And today, you carry on all of those plans and projects to make sure you will have the first best day of your lives together: your wedding. And then you think about the future, the one that comes with so many promises with such a small, simple but overwhelming concept. You realize that from that day on you will never be alone; it will never be only you alone becau-

se everything will be shared with that someone you love and therefore things will be much better. Some people like to think that every single thing in this world happens for a reason. For instance, you have gone through uncountable situations in your life that led you to where you are standing right now because somehow you decided it to be like that. You had to take many important decisions and among those was choosing the man to be with you for the rest of time. Yes, he was your choice and you wanted it like that, you thought of it, you decided and now you will take a further step marrying him making sure the world knows you have taken the best decision ever and from that day on you will choose then to support, respect, take care, share, but overall love with all your heart that man of yours.

22

When Orlando and I got married, I started to understand the consequences of my choices. All of those decisions that took me to stand right beside him in front of the altar. We decided to say yes to marriage but furthermore, we decided to be together forever; that was our choice. When we planned our wedding, we did it with so much love and care that I wanted to record every single moment of it in my mind and heart so I could never forget it. However, life follows its course and leave things behind taking us to new situations that inevitably make us forget those special moments. Though, every now and then we go back and look at our wedding photographs and find that they are not only memories from the past, but also they are a viewfinder to our future, that future we once planned and now we are living and sharing right at this moment. Since we were dating, we loved to capture all of those special moments that we were living together. We used to record everything and share our thoughts of it; he was always taking pictures and I was recording video. Luckily there was always a camera at hand, even from a cellphone. Like so, we have so many precious memories that we like and enjoy seeing every now and then. Therefore, we decided to create Filmor Photography allowing us, through this passion, to capture those special moments and be part of one of the most important days of people’s lives. We wish to record those moments that will take you to a panorama of your future, the one that you will live and enjoy with the man that you love so much. In a few years, when you see at the photographs of your wedding, you will not only see one special day, but the beginning of many wonderful shared moments that started with a celebration.

You may say they are only photographs, yes, but they are the ones that have the power to describe more accurately the concept of happiness without the need to use words.

The Marriage License

All couples must apply for and receive a marriage license from the County Clerk’s office of some county in Texas in order to get legally married in the state. Here's what you need to know and what documents to bring with you before you apply for a marriage license in Hidalgo County. We recommend getting this legal aspect of your wedding out of the way about a month before your ceremony date. What do we need to bring with us to do to get a marriage license in Texas? You and your fiance will need to appear together at the applicable County Clerk’s office in Texas to fill out and sign your application and pay the required license fee. Texas also requires that both applicants present either photo ID or a certified birth certificate in order to prove their age and identity when they file their application. Both applicants must provide proof or age and identity with a valid Texas driver ’s license, valid Texas DPS I.D., military I.D., passport, or any certificate of license issued by this state, another state, the U.S. Government or a foreign government. Each applicant is required to provide a Social Security card or proof of Social Security number.

When is the marriage license valid in Texas? Texas has a mandatory 72 hour waiting period for after you file your application. This means that you must apply for the license more than three days before your wedding in order for your marriage to be legally valid. After the 72 hour waiting period is up, the marriage license remains valid for 30 days. After those 30 days, the license expires and can no longer be used to legalize your marriage. How much do marriage licenses cost in Texas? Because marriage licenses are issued at the county level, the marriage license fee depends on which county in Texas you apply in. Currently, most counties charge around $72 for a marriage license. Previous Marriage: If divorced within thirty days, Texas requires that you show a certified copy of your divorce decree stating the 30 day waiting period is waived. No blood test is required. A friend or me that you can talk to, laugh with as sometimes cry on. Jim is all that to me, and more.

A friend is someone that you can talk to, laugh with and sometimes cry on. Jim is all that to me, and more. Jim and I have been best friends for 10 years. Anyone who knows us could tell you we were inseparable. That bond led everyone to believe we were dating, except me. As the years passed, I slowly realized my true love has been by my side all along. I soon realized Jim felt the same way. On Jan. 7, 2011, Jim mustarded up the courage to ask me to be his girlfriend. The transition from best friends to love interests can be rocky for some, but it was smooth sailing for us. Fast forward three years to a day I'll never forget - March 10, 2014. With both our families present, Jim got down on one knee and made me the happiest girl alive. Choosing the perfect wedding date was easy! My late Godfather adored Jim; he even told my mom he knew he was the one. To honor his memory, we decided to get married on his birthday - February 7. Our wedding was a dream come true. I knew that I would be protected, honored, respected, appreciated and loved by the man of my dreams. That notion filled me

Our perfect wedding was possible because of your time, effort, patience and guidance and we are forever grateful. And to my husband: Life with you makes perfect sense; I'll forever be your best friend! Love, Heather

Erica De Leon & Christopher Chapa

October 11, 2014 was the special day that Christopher and I anxiously waited to begin living our happily ever after, and to start the beginning to a new chapter in our lives together as we both became one. I can still remember walking down the isle escorted by my amazing father and then handed to man I love as if it was just yesterday. Our holy marriage ceremony was exactly what we had envisioned and was filled with everybody we love. Joy filled our hearts when we happily walked down the isle after being pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Chapa for the first time. Our joyous reception followed at the Cimarron where we danced to “Then” by Brad Paisley for the first time as Mr. & Mrs. Chapa. The celebration continued as we celebrated with our family and friends the rest of the night. The reception ballroom was decorated beautifully and dinner was delicious. There are not enough words to describe how happy Christopher and I were to finally be able to spend the rest of our lives together and do everything that we once dreamed of together after dating for seven years. As the night came to an end we looked at each other and still couldn’t believe the fact that one of our dreams had finally come true, that day was one of our best days of our lives. 48

Diana has been the greatest change in my life, before I met her I was careless in many aspects I ate unhealthy food and rarely took care of my self, she taught me how to respect my body, how it feels better to eat healthy food and feel more energy during the day, how to separate my work from the house, more importantly that love with out limits is to care more for the each other and be a better man for her. Marrying her was the best decision I ever made, the wedding was amazing, having our family and friends gathered was a dream come true. Everything went smoothly , like in any other event there were jitters and strong emotions I couldn’t stop crying when I saw her, she was beautiful as always but that day she had a special glow, there were occasions I felt there was nobody else in the ballroom when we danced our first waltz as husband and wife.

We d d i n g s

Just like our first dance song, "todo cambio", everything changed 12 years ago the night Joe and I met after one of his high school basketball games. Soon after that night, we became each other's biggest fans, not only in sports but in each other's life journeys. After high school, we combined our passion for sports and travel, and decided to journey on many adventures near and far. Somewhere between getting caught in a Philadelphia blizzard storm and almost getting detained in Jamaica for jumping off a pier, we decided we were ready to say I do! We never thought that after twelve years of being together we could come to be as happy as we are today. A happiness that would not be possible without the grace of God. Joe says he always knew I would end up being his High School Sweetheart! When it came time to planning our wedding, we knew we wanted something intimate and meaningful. After deciding on a spring wedding, it made sense to have an outside garden theme but it was hard for Joe to envision a celebration anywhere outside a traditional ballroom. I knew it was going to take a special venue to change his mind. The moment we walked into Rancho La Pergola I knew this was the place to say I do! The atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout the entire property was like no other. The deal sealer was when the owner gladly agreed to Joe's idea of fireworks! Once we chose the venue, we continued to assemble an exceptional team of vendors whom all share a true passion for what they do at weddings. Joe and I are truly blessed to have worked with such genuine, talented people, and are forever grateful for all their hard work and for helping us put together a wedding beyond our dreams! Rebecca.

Maria Pretel & Victor Escobedo Victor and I got married on March 28th in San Antonio, Texas. After a 9 month engagement and almost 4 years of dating, it was our time to tie the knot. I was born and raised in Seville, Spain so to bring a piece of Spain to my Wedding was a must! The day was more magical than I could ever imagined. The sunshine and the love was all around blessing our day. At 7pm as I walked down the isle at the San Fernando Cathedral, and into my best friends arms the moment we have all been waiting for had finally arrived. The moment where we become husband and wife for the rest of our liVes. The Wedding Ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour at San Fernando Hall courtyard with delicious Hors d’oevres accompanied by the sounds of Spanish guitar played by Alex Nicholas. The beautiful and elegant reception then followed with a sit down dinner with the perfect and out of this world buttercream cake and triple decadence chocolate cake. After that the toasts led the way and the party had officially began. What really made our wedding so special was all the love and fun times that our family and friends brought to our wedding. And for always, it will be the best day of our lives.

We were looking to create a wedding we could represent the love that my wife and I felt for each other. Since my wife is a native of Medellin , Colombia Colombia we wanted to bring to the Valley of Texas. Bearing in mind that we chose the venue of Villa de Palmas as we remember much at farms in the Region paisa Medellin , Colombia by tropical setting with palms and a garden. Floral arrangements along with the cake were inspired by the flower Region Medellin , hydrangeas and white roses . To create a cozy , classic and elegant atmosphere opted to have our ceremony and reception in the garden of the villa under a tent lit by crystal chandeliers . Thanks to the work of our Wedding vendors we could have the wedding of our dreams.

Our wedding day was a day to remember. We had been planning our big day for sixteen months and it had finally arrived.Everything came out so beautiful! From our wedding party and guests who looked like movie stars, you would think we were on the red carpet. Our religious ceremony was so beautiful; we were united in Gods house laying the foundation for our future. Saying our “I Do's†in front of our family and friends to witness the ceremony in our church is all that we had wanted. For us, that was the most nerve-racking! We had been meeting with our priest, done the engagement retreat, and been going to church to prepare us. Saying our vows were so emotional during our ceremony and it was hard to hold back our tears. When the father said “kiss like they do in the Disney movies†, was the moment we had been waiting for.

singing. Our favorite moment was seeing all our guest having an awesome time and dancing the night away.... the music was great!! Our families had a night to remember, but we have a lifetime of memories that we will forever cherish. We would like to thank all our family and friends for being with us to share our special day. (Amanda) We met at the Nike store in Mercedes, Joe was already employed there when i started.

We are constantly laughing with or at each other for dumb reasons. Amanda can always put a smile on my face and when she is upset I will always cuddle up to her when she falls asleep. Besides being together for almost 8 years and also working together for 7 years, we lived together for going on 3years, so we can’t really name anything we really DON’T do together. We spend alot of time with the family and always take family vacations at least once a year.

(Joe)Amanda always thought I was annoying so it made it that much more difficult to get to know her bette. We found out that we had many things in common and found that it sparked a friendship to then grew to much more... We started to casually talk more till I worked up the courage to finally ask her on our first date!!! (We went to Dennys) I literally had to “Meet the Parents” before I picked her up to go out. (Angel-father, Cindymother, Angel jr-brother, and Alyssa-sister)(joe- most scared/nervous/best time of my life) He proposed on December 24, 2013 which happened to be my grandmothers 73rd birthday. i was very nervous and all kinds of butterflies... I wanted a beer so bad. but as i sat next to her not knowing what or how to as... I got on one knee and said (while crying my eyes out) “would you be mine forever.” We have alot of things in common that ranges from music, movies, (except the movie “white chicks” because amanda watched it too much), and foods. We both love R&B music but maybe not as much as Amanda, but still all in the same. Foods is a given because who doesnt like food. There is never a dull moment in our relationship. 70

Martin and I have known each other for a long time. Since childhood actually, although we didn't talk to each other until freshman year of high school that's when we hit it off and little did I know we where going to end up planning our future wedding years later. He proposed to me on February 14th, 2014. He told me he had reservations at a nice restaurant so we could have a nice candle lit dinner for Valentine’s Day. When I first saw Martin that day he was dressed in a suit. So I thought to myself, "Wow I guess this is going to be a fancy dinner". I never expected that on this day he would propose to me or that he had the ring in his pocket the whole time and this was the beginning of a later marriage proposal. An hour into our dinner he asked me, "How much do you love me?” I laughed and said a lot. He then asked "how much is a lot?” I replied, "From here to the moon on back". He then said "well in that case will you marry me?” I was in shock and I couldn't believe what he was asking me. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world and I said, "YES"! 73

We are high school sweethearts we met since we were very little and we liked each other immediately. When we where younger we always dreamed how it would be our life together. But it was only a dream, now we can’t believe its becoming a reality. Its been hard planning a wedding since we’ve done all arrangements from home and were getting married in Victoria, Tamps. Mexico. But this has its advantages, we’ve been able to see our family and we get out of our daily tasks. We love been together we can’t wait to be together the rest of our lives.

It was the Fall of 2008 and my Junior year at Texas A&M. My first two years in college had been an amazing experience; I had joined a fraternity, traveled to Europe with my sister, studied in Southeast Asia, progressed further into my engineering degree, and of course kept partying with you guys. The one thing I was missing was having someone special to share my experiences with. Everything though had led to this one night, a fraternity party. I had stepped out into the backyard to take a break and chat with friends, and there she was; Maria looked beautiful. I worked up the courage to go speak with her and we hit it off from there, an instant attraction. A couple of weeks later we were in a relationship, and things were off to a great start. She was living and studying in Houston at the time and we made the best of seeing each other on weekends and holidays. It became more challenging when I graduated at the end of 2010; my new job opportunity with GE had me living in Dallas, and Maria had transferred to Texas State. Long distance became an understatement when I was transferred to North Carolina. Maria had now transferred to A&M and was completing her psychology degree; it became even more challenging to see one another. But even then we worked through it. These challenges added character to our relationship and helped us mature and strengthen our love, all while experiencing new places and meeting and befriending great people. And now we’re here, beginning the next chapter of our lives together in San Antonio. We have achieved and overcome so much these last 6 years, and I look forward to sharing the rest of our lives together.

We met fall 2007 while having lunch with friends and sparks flew immediately. Love came easy as we both have a passion for the beach and adventure. Since then we have shared many adventures, from surfing in Costa Rica to sharing a home with our two cats Nala and Fin. The proposal! Andy planned a trip to the beach for Labor Day weekend to celebrate my birthday. On our last night there he planned a walk on the bay just after sunset. He then popped the question as we were sitting by the water under a starry Texas night, and of course I said yes! We are looking forward to our fall 2015 wedding and to the beginning of many new adventures as husband and wife.

"Quien no vive para servir, no sirve para vivir" "Who does not live to serve no good to live" "Si Dios conmigo, quién contra mi?" "If God is for me, who can be against me?'

Conquering and Cultivating Love including their body, because “they´re doing it for love.” What they don’t teach them, however, is that if sexual intimacy gets involved in a relationship before a real commitment exists, it makes the relationships more risky than they would be otherwise. Over and over they sell them the idea that love is like math, “the order of the factors doesn't alter the product”, when actually is quite the contrary. This is the reality nowadays. But just because they sell this as the reality, doesn’t mean it really is.

Nowadays, our youth find themselves really confused as to what the meaning of love is, and even more so if it involves a partner. Their environment has been showing them that in order to conquer love, it is necessary to buy that person expensive gifts, they must be a very successful businesspersons, and have a huge bank account with enough money to buy the sky. Furthermore, their surroundings have been selling the idea that if you want to make someone fall in love with them, they must give them everything, 80

Youth, especially those wishing to get commitment in love: don’t go with the flow or with the pressure of the world. Intimacy is a FRUIT of love, deep knowledge of one another and the mutual and unconditional acceptance. “To Make Love” is something wonderful. It’s a gift of life since God himself created it in order to make us co-participants of His creation touched it with a “hint of pleasure” that without it, reproduction would not exist. Love goes way beyond everything the world has shown to you. In order to conquer the real and mature love, it's necessary to walk along and together as a couple, step by step, looking at the same direction. It is very important for you to have a common project, same values and the most important: A REAL COMMITMENT. Growing in love it is an every day’s fruit. In order to achieve it its necessary to win over the selfishness and to open in a completely way our hearts to everything that is good, beautiful and true, and also to close the doors to everything that can lead us to indifference, envy, selfishness and pride, since all this can make us fall apart from the ones that one day gave themselves in for love.

There are some areas in a relationship that is necessary to take care of in order for it to grow IN and FROM LOVE.

1 2

Effective and affective communication. Identify and express all your feelings valuing those of your partner. Most of the times it will be necessary to listen rather than to talk.

9

Share vital values. It is really important that the values you share make both of you feel closer and attached. A relationship where the values are totally different, hardly becomes a successful one.

3

Share likes and dislikes. You love soccer and she likes basketball, she loves going out to dance and you enjoy going to the movies. It's really important to share likes and interests and also to learn how to enjoy whatever it is your partner likes.

4 5

You are you, and I'm me. It's tremendously important to not lose the individuality in a relationship and to act in a free way; I’m not yours and you're not mine either.

Excuse his/her flaws. Acknowledge that each one is the result of each other’s history, and both have past wounds (also known as defects), and healing is vital for the relationship to keep growing and maturing. Don't take anything personal. In every discussion, remember that you're irritated with the event and no with the person. It is convenient to wait. A pre-marriage sexual life can lead to other reasons to make you decide to be together. Sexual attraction is so strong that can make you blind to see defects that you must see before to decide if you really want to get committed for life. It is convenient to wait before you share the most valuable thing you have: Your body (Temple of the Holy Spirit) in joint with your soul, so whenever that moment comes it will be a way to show how much you respect and value each other. “Because I love you so much, I want to keep knowing you with my eyes fully open and I respect you since I know God lives in you." Spiritual life. Make sure to have a spiritual life, as personal as in a couple. When you take care of your spirit and you invite God to be a co-participant of you relationship, allowing Him to make the final decision of any situation, you'll be totally assurance that you're going on the right path.

Remember, in real love there's no suffering. Love is joy, it lights you up, you irradiate it, you vibrate it, and it makes you feel alive, blissful, full and complete. Come on! See you the next time! Also see you in the morning show “Buenos Dias Frontera” Monday's at 9am in Telemundo 40, and also listen to us every Friday at 12 pm at “El Brunch” at Hits FM 90.1! Learn how to negotiate. Do not impose your will. It is necessary to see both angles. Important decisions are taken together in order to get the most effective result. 82
