Recognize and get used to basic vocabulary on the internet Match the basic words to the functions. Be aware of the dangers of the use of internet. Be aware of the importance of English on the internet. Remember the ten tips for Internet safety they have already learnt in L1.

Brainstorming about vocabulary in English they have seen on the web. Compare the number of websites in Spanish and English. For example: type “penguin” and “pinguino” and compare the amount of entrances. Watch the vocabulary on the “club penguin “ page and say what happens if you click on some of the words (in the big screen) Read the rules and talk about them. Match the words to its definitions on the .odt activity page.( In pairs) Watch the video and answer the questions about it. Personal work and then compare with the partners.

4. Read about dangers on the internet. Read the 10 tips for Internet safety:( remember what you did in Basque or Spanish, that will help you understand.) 1. Stay anonymous, you should use a nickname while online, and never reveal your real name. 2. Don´t give out your Internet password to anyone (even my best friends) other than your parents. 3. Never tell anyone where you live, not even if you have been chatting to the

person for years. Never tell anyone what school you go to. Never give out phone numbers. 4. Never agree to meet someone without a parent present, and ensure the person you

are going to meet knows a parent will be accompanying you. 5. Tell an adult if anything strange happens or anything is said to you that makes

you feel uncomfortable. 6. Never send a person your picture or anything else without first checking with

your parents. 7. Talk with your parents so that you can together set up rules for going online. You will decide upon the time of day that you can be online, the length of time you can be online, and appropriate areas for you to visit. You will not access other areas or break these rules without their permission. 8. Check with your parents before downloading or installing software or doing anything that could possibly hurt your computer or jeopardize your family’s privacy 9. Be a good online citizen and not do anything that hurts other people or is against the law. 10. Help your parents understand how to have fun and learn things online and teach them things about the Internet, computers and other technologies.
